• Carmichael's Heroic Sacrifice for Murphy. Also a Moment of Awesome.
  • Also, note that the last words he says in Dresden's presence are words of acknowledgement that Harry really does know what he's talking about.
• Harry and Murphy go with each other to Carmichael's and Kim Delaney's funerals, so that the other doesn't have to be alone.
• Billy and the Alphas stepping up and volunteering to help stop the loup-garou, despite being well aware that they're so green they're all likely to die if they do.
  • In addition, Harry offers up a prayer to keep them safe, despite his already-established views about God. And they all come through alive. As will be shown in later books, just because Harry doesn't feel worthy to be part of any religion, doesn't mean the Boss doesn't listen to his prayers.
• When he's about to die at the teeth of the loup-garou, Harry's first thought for his death curse is not of killing the monster but of ending the curse on him.
