  • The manuals of both game outright tell you not to touch the girl introducing the upcoming minigame in the bottom screen. Even the games tell you to respect women, even if she is your girlfriend.
    The Rub Rabbits!
  • How does the hero react to getting rejected? "I've got to do something to prove that I'm different from those other guys!"
  • "Disc" implies that the hero's rivals are not actually resentful with the hero, but engaging in competition. After all, they do give the hero a love disc that they want the hero to throw to the girl.
  • After the events of "Roshambo" (which involves an explosive match of Rock–Paper–Scissors), the hero helps up his rivals. They concede: "You're a strong and caring guy... I'm sure you'll make a good boyfriend for her." They even cheer the hero.
  • In "Confession", under the encouragement of his former rivals, the hero proposes to the girl while watching some fireworks. She finally accepts... then fireworks in the pattern of a heart appear. His former rivals cheer!
  • After "Stampede", which involved the hero rescuing his girlfriend from robot bulls, the girl introduces her boyfriend to her parents. They seem to be going along great.
  • "Virus" is subtle: when a virus infects the girl's computer, the hero subjugates the virus. Even in the little things, the hero gladly helps his girlfriend.
  • The hero's love of his girlfriend helps him break out of being Bound and Gagged... twice.
  • "Boat" has the hero brave logs and crocodiles all because he wants to meet his girlfriend again.
  • "Foodstuffs" has the hero Exploit the Bridal Carry trope: he throws his girlfriend into the air then catches her while his girlfriend gets fruit from a tree.
  • "Dip" has the hero risk himself in luring piranhas and electric eels because he wants his girlfriend to bathe safely.
  • "Poke" and "Poke Again" is just the two of them touching each other is a lovey-dovey way.
  • "Dive" has the hero dodge bombs and piranhas before rescuing his girlfriend from being trapped underwater because of a giant clam.
  • When the genius girl shoots the hero's girlfriend with a poison that threatens to destroy her memories with the hero, he and his former rivals go and scale a mountain that contains a Legendary Rose that would erase the poison. They even inform the girlfriend's parents about the mission, assuring them that they are going to help her.
  • "Stealth" has the hero hide his former rivals from a bear. In other words, the hero is still friends with and willing to help his former rivals.
  • Just after, "Slap" has the hero slap his former rivals... because he does not want them sleeping then freezing to death. The game even tells you "to deliver a loving slap"!
  • "Perseverance" has the hero help out his girlfriend with a wound. Because he involved medical alcohol, he blows on the wound when the going gets too rough.
  • In "Goodnight", he covers his girlfriend with a blanket without waking up her. After that in "Skin", the two cuddle themselves into warmth. The hero never takes advantage of his girlfriend; the two share loving moments.
  • "Snowball" is a friendly snowball match between the Official Couple. Though they act upset upon getting hit with a snowball, you increase a love gauge this way, while missing those snowballs has them appear upset in a different way while reducing the love gauge. In other words, they are joking around.
  • How does the hero respond to the poison taking effect on his girlfriend's memories with him? "Let's make memories that'll last forever."
  • After the hero repeatedly rejects the genius girl's forceful attempts at getting him to fall in love with her:
    Genius girl: "But why!?"
Hero: "Because even though you have feelings for me, I still love my girlfriend."
  • Around this time, the hero fights a robot bear ("Bear"), a lot of other robots ("Fire"), robot bulls ("Fight"), and even robo-spheres ("Chase") all because he wants the Legendary Rose.
  • In "Hope", the game implies that the poison is fatal. The hero then makes an extract with the rose, puts the potion in his mouth, and administers the potion by kissing his girlfriend on the lips. That works. The hero's friends cheer then the girl kisses her boyfriend.
  • "Now I'll show you what the power of REAL love is!" In "Bird", that means surviving a bomb blast then weaponizing a Twirl of Love, the resulting whirlwind destroying a robot bird. The game even outright says that you "[t]urn your love for your girlfriend into a whirlwind!"
  • The ending scene has one of the hero's friends help up the genius girl. Even after what the genius girl has done to his friend (and the friend's girlfriend), he is still willing to help out the genius girl.
  • "Thank you... I feel that we're even closer than before." "A love like this... it just might lead the way to even more love." The two then do an epic, rosy kiss.
  • The final message: "RUB IS LOVE♥"
