Heartwarming / Elephant (2003)

• While a particular dark and grim film, taking into account the massacre in which it is based, one has to recognize that the moment where Acadia comforts John while he is crying about being unable to control his alcoholic father is moving. Especially because sometimes, a simple gesture like this one is much more meaningful than any words can be.
  • John's final scene with his father, who attempts to wrap his arm around John's shoulder as they watch the school from outside, is also rather touching.
• Benny silently helping Acadia out the window before going deeper into the school in an attempt to thwart the shooters.
