Conversations with a Cryptid
- The fact that Bakugou got Todoroki to comfort Izuku when Izuku is having a meltdown after finding out Tsubasa's fate. That Bakugou grew enough as a person to help Izuku instead of leaving him or making things worse.
- After finding out what happened to Tsubasa, Bakugou threatening to violently murder All for One and asking Izuku to help him with the maiming is very endearing. Especially since he helps Izuku by reminding not to get upset, but to get even.
- Todoroki inviting Izuku to attend Endeavor's gala with him, since he got comfortable enough with Izuku to ask him as a friend so Todoroki would have support. Then it's further sweetened by Izuku having Toshinori be their chaperone since he hasn't been invited since the loss of his quirk.
- The gala shows how far Izuku has come from the beginning. From a 'useless nobody' to having two other potential careers as in the police or journalism along with superheroics. All of which compete for his attention.
- All for One going out of his way to contact Toshinori to rescue Izuku. Despite his hatred of All Might and One for All users in general, he cares for Izuku enough to put that behind him.
- Eri is finally starting to gain control of her powers. Sure, All for One did it for his ends and managed to heal himself and Izuku out of it, but Eri finally has a semblance of control and is feeling better for herself. All for One treated her as kindly as he could and makes sure to spare her of the horrible sight of Izuku's many injuries.
- How moved Toshinori and Bakugou were at seeing Izuku ok and Class 1-A's attempts to see him at the hospital and their unwavering support of him.
Kidnapping of a Cryptid
- Hisashi makes an honest effort to reconcile with Toshinori because he knows that Toshinori has been Izuku's Parental Substitute. And all this despite One for All being All for One's archnemesis.
- All for One is a remorseless killer who had no qualms in killing children or destroying people's lives. But there's at least one thing that could bring him to tears: the thought of his child's death.
- Todoroki helping Izuku get away from Hisashi for a day. And how all of Class 1-A came over to Todoroki's house to see Izuku.
- All for One restoring Mirio's Quirk.
- When Bakugou realizes that All for One has broken out of prison and that he's with Izuku. He immediately tries to warn people and breaks out of the hospital as soon as he can to rescue Izuku. Sure, he misunderstands the situation and thinks Izuku's in more trouble than he is, but the mere fact that he's trying to save the life of someone he once tried to bully means a lot.
- By the end of the story, Izuku is calling All for One by his given name in his narration. It seems he's one step closer to accepting All for One as his father.
