     Season 1
Death By Misadventure
  • Upon learning about Lexy's cruel prank on Jake, Ms. Fairchild sentences her to detention and holds her ground even when Lexy threatened to inform her parents about it. In a World of Jerkass, it's nice to see that examples such as Mrs. Fairchild make the world a little brighter.
  • While it ultimately was more problematic than he initially intended, Devon did offer Jake an invitation to his podcast.
  • Unlike his brother Luke, Logan is more kinder towards Jake and more accepting. The brothers' actor Devon Sawa really make his characters contrast one another.

Give Me Something Good to Eat

  • Jake returning to school is filled with a lot of them:
  • After Annie, the maid who works for Logan and Bree, is found dead in a dishwasher full of knives by Jake and Junior, the police immediately suspect Jake. Later that night, Bree tells Logan that she also finds him suspicious, showing signs of disdain for her nephew after Chucky, who everyone believes was Jake doing a ventriloquism act, and who called her out at the talent show (which was revealed later on that that she's Secretly Dying of cancer in Episode 5). Bree continues questioning if they were "qualified to look after a boy like this," making her a Distaff Counterpart of Phil Simpson from the the second film who also asked this question in regards to Andy Barclay. But due to the revelation in Episode 5, she's actually worried she herself would not be in the condition to take care of Jake no matter how much she actually cares for him due to her health decline. Logan balks at her accusation and is immediately defensive of Jake, claiming they've watched him grow up and that no one knows what teenagers are thinking. While this is very heartwarming of Logan, it's shown Jake was listening as well behind Junior, who was eavesdropping and he sadly runs off to the bathroom, which ultimately makes this bittersweet.

Just Let Go

  • Despite earlier being annoyed by her, Lexy is frantically concerned about her little sister's wellbeing after the house fire.

Little Little Lies

  • Devon helps Jake process his grief and anxiety. And no matter how intense Jake's thoughts get, Devon doesn't leave his side.
  • Jake and Devon's First Kiss is absolutely Adorkable.
  • Nica immediately trying to help the guy when she wakes up

Cape Queer

  • Devon tries to beat around the bush about his feelings for Jake by saying he "loves someone." However, his mom turns out to not only accept her son being gay, but also being with Jake after she figured out it wasn't him behind the murders.

Twice the Grieving, Double the Loss

An Affair to Dismember

    Season 2
Halloween II
  • Jake gives Devon a Big Damn Kiss before moving away to his new foster home, even though this will likely get him in trouble with his homophobic foster parents.
  • Despite how much he loathes his foster parents, Jake genuinely cares for his little foster brother Gary.
  • In the six months since their father was murdered by Chucky, Lexy has become her sister Caroline's biggest protector (albeit not the most effective one, since she's still using drugs.)
  • When Chucky sends them a video of himself entering former Mayor Cross' new home, Jake and Devon rush all the way over to make sure that Caroline and Lexy are safe.
Death on Denial
  • All of Jennifer/Tiffany's friends being utterly supportive of Glen and Glenda's gender identities, defending them against Jeeves' bigoted insults.
  • Glen helping Nica in her plan to escape and they even comfort her promising that she will be free by the end of the night. It’s probably the only genuine caring affection she’s had ever since Chucky killed her family.
  • During the scene where the twins first meet Nica, Glenda accidentally cut themselves in front of her, triggering the personality switch. Once Chucky awakens, he not only immediately recognizes which twin he's talking to, but genuinely smiles when he sees how one of his kids, who he hasn't seen in almost 20 years, has grown.
Nica-Chucky: Glenda. You're even more beautiful than I imagined!

He Is Risen Indeed

  • Devon and Lexy rescue Andy from Colonel Chucky and Dr. Mixter, who have been torturing him for a year. Devon tries to help Andy calm down by telling him how Andy saved Devon from the explosion, and giving him comfort and all the help he needs.
  • Andy ask the kids about Kyle, and on the other side Kyle asks Nica-Chucky about Andy. They may not be blood related but they are foster sister and brother and they clearly care about each other.
  • Meeting up with Dr. Mixter after learning she's working with Chucky, the kids are mostly angry at her for letting Colonel Chucky torture Andy. So Devon shuts her up with one line.
Devon: You're gonna pay for what you did to Andy!
  • Seeing that Kyle is worried about Andy, Nica tells Kyle that she hopes she finds him and gives her permission to talk to Chucky.
  • Nica-Chucky has Kyle cornered and tells Glenda to kill her, but Glenda decides not to.

Goin' to the Chapel

  • Andy, Kyle and Nica bonding over their shared traumatic experiences with Chucky. It calls to mind a memorable scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home where the three cinematic Spider-Men connect over losing a loved one.
  • Nadine visits Lexi as an angel, and she encourages her to seek help. In the off-chance Lexi wasn't hallucinating due to her pills, it's nice to see a good spirit for a change to contrast with Damballa.
  • Father Bryce, despite having been excommunicated for trying to request an exorcism on Chucky, decides to just perform the ritual himself. Despite appearing as a Holier Than Thou jackass all season, he's actually a good man deep down.
Father Bryce: I may no longer be an ordained priest, but I still have a responsibility to my faith, and to those children.

Chucky Actually

  • With Jake's open support, alongside Devon and (seemingly) her younger sister Caroline's encouragement, Lexy is finally able to begin repairing her relationship with her mother during Christmas dinner, with Lexy apologizing for failing to consider how Michelle was also suffering from the loss of Nathan and coping in her own way, while Michelle in turn acknowledges that she has made mistakes that worsened their mother-daughter relationship and appreciating how much Lexy is "growing up." This makes the ending of the episode all the more heartbreaking, given Michelle's lethal bisection by Chucky's chainsaw before her reconciliation with her daughter has a chance to more fully develop, and the revelation that both Chucky and (apparently) Tiffany have been manipulating Caroline the whole time to no longer acknowledge her biological mother and sister as family.
    • Despite this, seeing Lexy reconcile with her mother also prompts Jake and Devon to mend their relationship after the unresolved tensions between them throughout the second season, and their latent doubt that they had any meaningful emotional connection outside of their shared objective to take down Chucky and his allies.
    • Relatedly, Michelle's willingness to take in both Jake and Devon as Christmas houseguests with no hesitation at Lexy's request, showing that she does not extend her retrospective resentment of Junior Wheeler to his cousin nor Devon.
  • Tiffany helps give the twins — now returned to their original doll body, and merged into a single person — a makeover, giving them a more mature, modern look. When they see themselves in the mirror, they almost cry Tears of Joy. Then, after choosing a new name ("G.G.") to reflect their new state of existence, they decide to return to England and explore their roots. Even though Tiffany is sad that they're leaving, she gives her blessing. Parent and child even share a laugh and a high-five over G.G.'s accent.
"It's me! I love it! I love me!
  • However hypocritical her priorities continue to be, it is good to see confirmation that Tiffany's moral code still leaves her shocked that Chucky would knowingly kill someone's mother on Christmas Eve, and also that she is prepared to lie to Chucky about Glen and Glenda's survival to protect them from their father's retribution (even momentarily extending her Mama Bear instinct to protecting Lexy, Caroline, Jake, and Devon from Chucky, if necessary).
    • Additionally, Tiffany also shows that she retains her soft spot for couples that actually have healthy relationships and showcases her implicit desire for a sincerely compassionate romantic partner when she compliments Devon on how lucky he is to have Jake when the latter successfully prevails upon him to call an ambulance to treat Tiffany's stab wounds.
  • At the end of the episode, Ms. Fairchild arrives to comfort Jake, Devon, and especially Lexy, which is especially heartwarming after she (rightfully) chewed out Lexy at the beginning of the previous season for her mistreatment of Jake, but now acknowledges that Lexy Took a Level in Kindness and is willing to be there for her when she has no adult left to care for her. Moreover, Ms. Fairchild reveals herself to be another prospective ally of the trio, having her own past experience with Chucky and ready to join their crusade against him.
  • Before she makes it clear that she intends to take revenge on Tiffany, Nica sincerely apologizes for accidentally shooting Glen after they took the bullet for their mother. She furthermore reveals that she is still in contact with G.G., who is said to call Nica once a week. It’s nice to know Nica and G.G. were able to make amends despite everything that happened and continue to maintain their friendship.

    Season 3
Jennifer's Body
  • As twisted as it is considering how much he corrupted her, Chucky comforting Caroline when she cries about not being able to accompany Chucky to the White House is pretty sweet.

Death Becomes Her

  • Jake and Devon finally have their first time.
  • Chucky and Tiffany admit that, despite how toxic their relationship is, they still genuinely love each other.

There Will Be Blood

  • In the hopes of stopping Chucky once and for all and also learning the whereabouts of Caroline, Jake agrees to let Pryce stop his heart so that he can cross over to the Spirit Realm. Devon, Lexi, and Grant all insist in joining him, only relenting because Jake has to go alone and because they don't trust that Pryce will bring Jake back.
  • Despite her hatred of Tiffany, Nica attends her execution in order to deliver a message from GG, telling Tiffany that her child still loves her and thinks that she was the most loving mother they could have ever hoped for.

Final Destination

  • Jake makes peace with his father in the afterlife, finally letting go of his guilt for the role he played in Luke's death and offering his father a hug, which Luke eventually reciprocates.
    • As Luke finally returns his son's embrace, he warns Jake that he will fail against Chucky if he tries to proceed with his plan. While it is easy to interpret this as Luke continuing to demean his son's abilities and further damage his self-esteem, his gentler tone instead seems to convey a worried desire that his son should avoid putting himself in jeopardy of permanently losing his life on behalf of a lost cause when the odds of success are inordinately stacked against him (and, as it sadly turns out, Luke ends up being correct that his son is playing right into Chucky's hands).
  • Charles Lee Ray's spirit showing some Villain Respect to Jake, appearing to sincerely compliment him on his artistic talent and his strong-willed individuality in the face of the world's judgments, which allowed him to resist being manipulated by Chucky.
  • Chucky asks Tiffany how GG is doing, and sincerely admits that he misses them. Goes to show that for all his wickedness, he truly loves his kid.
