    General
  • There's a point in the game where Wambus removes "Cactriffy" from inside his house and places her somewhere else. Where that other place is, however? On his farm, next to his scarecrow, so that his effigy of his wife can love an effigy of himself.
  • While unintentional, as they don't appear anywhere in the game's ending, in earlier versions of the game it was entirely possible to continue using the Buggy Ball past Gramble and Wiggle's section in the final mission. Not only does this mean that Sprout can also be used to protect Wambus and Triffany, but you can get Sprout to board the ship with you, granted they have a chance to fall off due to the game's physics. Either way, if players guided them to the right place on the ship, it was entirely possible at some point to save the one Bugsnak who's on your side.

    Main Story
  • The second video diary has some Tear Jerker elements to it due to being a very realistic portrayal of being in a relationship with someone who's suffering from depression. Yet, this does not deter Lizbert from loving Eggabell, even giving her a Bugsnak to try and cheer her up.
Eggabell: Thanks, Liz. I'd fall to pieces without you.
  • During the "Hoop Dreamz" quest Chandlo admits that he could probably get his basketballs back himself, but since Snorpy made the Snakgrappler specifically to help him, he wants you to use it.
  • After you, Filbo and Eggabell fail to open the giant door up on Frosted Peak, Eggabell demands that you two go home so that way, neither of you get hurt. She then goes onto explain what happened that resulted in Liz's disappearance. It starts off as a Tear Jerker, but then becomes heartwarming when Filbo is able to successfully calm her down with a somewhat amusing story of what happened to him prior to us meeting him.
Filbo: "Heh, you know, when I was looking for Lizbert, I got really hungry. I couldn't catch Bugsnax, so I tried eating this purple flower. But then I threw up, and then I went blind for a bit, and then I fell in a hole. And by the time I dragged myself out of there, I was so tired and hungry I could barely move! That's when we met Buddy!"
    Eggabell: "Filbo, that's awful!"
Filbo: "It was! Cause, you know, I can't make it on my own like you and Lizbert. And it's times like those when I could really use a doctor."
    • And not only does he successfully calm her down, he's able to convince her to not go through this alone and that when she figures out how to open the door, she'll come find him again so that way, the three of you can find Liz together.
  • Wambus actually apologizes to Gramble for his crappy and condescending behaviour towards him and his Bugsnax kin during the "Major Celebration" quest. To make this even sweeter, Gramble - despite having more than enough reasons to refuse his apologynote  instead accepts it after he realizes that Wambus isn't trying to pull a cruel prank on him; even offering to hug him! And even though Wambus refuses the hug, the two of them still go out dancing! It's absolutely adorable to see the two of them reconcile like this, especially considering how much hostility and enmity they displayed towards each other throughout the game!
  • Snorpy’s confession to Chandlo. First because he’s finally gotten the nerve up to do it... then with the discovery that they’ve actually been dating for years and Snorpy was just too clueless to realize it. Chandlo promptly clears things up for him with a kiss.
  • In the end, after Lizbert reveals the truth to you, she tells you that everyone needs to get off the island... except for her as she's the only one who can ensure that the island stays together long enough to allow everyone else to escape. However, when Eggabell hears this, she refuses to leave Liz behind, proclaiming that she spent months sleeping alone in an igloo and she won't allow Lizbert to sacrifice herself to play martyr. However, Liz knows that she can't leave and must stay behind. So what does Eggabell do in response to this? She joins her! She's able to fuse with Lizbert's giant Queen form to help assist her in keeping the island together to help everyone! Lizbert even calls her a "beautiful genius" for being able to pull it off and gives her a grateful kiss before commenting on the fact that her eyepatch makes her look "dangerous".
    • This also doubles as a Moment of Awesome, seeing as how Lizbert clearly wasn't sure if Eggabell would've been allowed to merge with Liz's giant Queen form.
  • The ending, especially if you save everyone, is surprisingly wholesome, as all the characters talk to you about what they've learned, on the beach. And then the credits themselves roll, with the Bugsnax song playing, and photos of the characters going about their lives after their experience.
    • Chandlo and Snorpy's epilogue photos show them both trying out the other's lifestyles, Snorpy working out and Chandlo studying at a library.
    • Filbo asked to run for mayor with your help, and his photo has all the characters gathered around congratulating him for having won the election.
    • If you've got the Golden Ending, the last photonote  shows that Lizbert and Eggabell are still alive, with both of them relaxing together on the beach and watching the sunset. After all they've been through, they really deserve it.
      • The Bigsnax update took this further by adding two more pictures of Lizbert and Eggabell; the first being the both of them in their Bugsnax monster form working together to clean up the pieces of Snaxburg, and the second one of them enjoying sauces by a campfire, with a grand majority of their transformation having worn off. Filbo was right; the Bugsnax would indeed eventually wear off, and it's gratifying to see it even after how far gone Lizbert was.
      • And on top of that, we learn from Jamfoot in the Triplicate Space what he knows about the previous two Bugsnax Queens, and that he hopes that the third would bring prosperity. While Lizbert's expedition didn't go exactly as planned, thanks to the efforts of Filbo and the Journalist, Lizbert's crew eventually found kinship and learned to work together to survive Snaktooth, so it's not like Jamfoot's hopes were completely moot. Lizbert herself also survived and defied the fates of the previous queens, despite having become what would be the third queen of Bugsnax.

    Sidequests/mail requests
  • The ending of Floofty's quest chain. Floofty and Snorpy don't get along very well, but when Snorpy learns that Floofty's latest experiment involves decapitating themself, Snorpy walks up and shuts down the experiment out of concern for his sibling.
Floofty: If my hypothesis is correct, I will be perfectly fine and I will have advanced medical knowledge by a century.
Snorpy: And if you're wrong you'll be headless! Even after everything you've done, I still care about you, Floofty.
Floofty: Don't try to infect me with your cowardice! What you should 'care' about is my work! That is what is truly important.
    Snorpy: YOU are important!
  • One of the letters you can receive during the game is actually from Lizbert herself, apologizing that she couldn't be there to see Snaxburg fully built and wishes everyone well. She even tells them to be nice to Filbo, too.
  • When you tell Beffica that her mortal enemy Cromdo dances to "Do the Wiggle" at midnight, Beffica is surprisingly generous about it, remarking that she's puzzled he would hide it at all and that it almost makes him likeable.

    DLC content

  • The Bigsnax update added an opportunity to interview Eggabell again, this time giving you a chance to properly get to know her more. She then reveals how her and Lizbert met, with an injured Lizbert literally kicking down the door to her clinic before passing out from her wounds, and it's both an adorable and also funny story to boot.
  • Towards the end of the DLC storyline, Chandlo will sit down with Shelda for a chat about his relationship with Snorpy. Shelda starts to speak in her usual Ice-Cream Koan fashion, before cutting herself off and talking normally, remarking that this is one situation where she really doesn't want her words to be ambiguous and misinterpreted. She kindly but briskly lays out to Chandlo that Snorpy's increasing anxiety and paranoia is not something Chandlo can fix, and requires a trained therapist.
