I call it a “task” to let her rest… but I have to admit, this makes me so… happy.
- Glen saving Julia when he stumbles upon her after her flogging and abandonment. This is after witnessing several chapters of how cruel aristocrats can be towards those of the lower class, but here we have a duke not hesitating to help a helpless commoner from the brink of death.
- Julia tries to help out as a servant to his estate, but Glen puts her needs first and tries to order her to rest, but one telepathic read later, he relents and allows her to work but only for 1 hour. For the rest of the day, she’ll be doted by Glen with proper food and beautiful clothing.
- Glen’s servants getting along with Julia is just plain sweet. Compared to Lafayette‘s servants bullying Julia over Camille’s obsessive love towards her, Glen’s servants have no problem with their boss pursing Julia.
- Glen saving Julia from her time in the Toy Room, no thanks to Camille. At first she’s in a broken trace, but breaks out of it once she realizes she’s in Glen’s loving embrace and declares that he’ll now always protect her.
- Once Glen takes Julia back to his estate, he orders Suzanne to back off. He’s constantly by her bedside and notices she has traces of Arcana. On one morning, he carries off Julia to present her with room full of beautiful dresses, jewelry, and shoes. Julia tries to plead with him that she’s not worthy of such gifts because of her social standing, but Glen turns it around since she can’t remember who she was since she was a kid; for all they know Julia could be a princess. Julia doesn’t think that’s likely, but Glen reassured her that he does not care one bit of her background and only wishes to see her happy.
- Glen taking Julia to visit his private estate because he notices how much she suffers from her nightmares. It’s been such a long time for Julia to have such a happy experience since she left Camille, and it’s all thanks to Glen.
- Julia starts to worry that she’s falling for Glen since Ophelia wanted her to stay way from her “fiancée”. She admits Ophelia’s threats to Glen and express her worries, but he succumbs to his emotions and gives her a big hug. Glen also sets the record straight that he and Ophelia are NOT officially engaged. This pleases Julia even more and asks Glen if she can stay with him. Instead of answering her request, Glen surprises Julia with a Big Damn Kiss.
- This makes Julia rather flustered and pushes him off, not out of disgust, but out of her extreme shyness since she’s felt insecure that she could be worthy to stay by Glen’s side. But he gently holds onto her, asks her to forgot about Camille and Ophelia, then to be his one and only. Julia agrees and they share another Big Damn Kiss.
