Heartwarming / Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!

  • As odd and/or moronic as the "Daphne with hand puppets" shtick is, it's kind of sweet to see her use them to remind the gang of their close friendships, in the midst of a heated argument.
  • There's also Fred's determination to save his old friend, Chuck, from being trapped in a dangerous cavern. Too bad Chuck is the villain of the episode.
  • Scooby spends much of his time around Lady Annabelle embarrassing himself (as well as weirding her out). However, after he saves her from falling, they hit it off quite well-even making a heart shape with their tails.
  • Daphne's speech about friendship and love in "Me, Myself and AI" is actually really sweet, and the group hug that comes after is even sweeter.
  • Fred finding Daphne's jokes Actually Pretty Funny during her stint as a stand up comedian, especially after he earlier bemoaned the concept.
  • Fred and Daphne's relationship in general, whether you view it as romantic or not, is this. Yes, she wears him out but you can tell that Fred genuinely enjoys being around her, even when she's acting particularly off the wall.
  • In "Be Cold, Scooby-Doo" it's revealed that this version of Shaggy has never experienced snow before. The fact that Daphne went out of her way to take him someplace where he could do so (along with blindfolding him so it would be a surprise,) added with his childlike wonder when they first get to the cabin makes this quite possibly the most heartwarming moment in the show.
    • A notable part of this scene is the fact that he falls twice, once with the rest of the gang on some ice (which is what caused the blindfold to fall off) and again after he trips while taking in the sight of the snow around him. Why is this heartwarming? In most comedies such events (falling in this case) would be enough for a character to loose interest in something and proceed to act like a jerk for the rest of the episode. Not Shaggy though, he simply begins making a snow angel the second time he falls. It's adorable.
  • Daphne in general in this series seems to be the instigator of many Heartwarming Moments, often giving the gang a Rousing Speech to spur them on to victory, and being the one who wanted to give the Scooby Snacks to Shaggy and Scooby without expecting anything in return from them.
  • In "There Wolf" when Scooby feels sick, everyone assumes he's just carsick from sitting in the front of the Mystery Machine, until he reveals that he's not hungry and doesn't want to eat. Yes, it's funny, but the fact that everyone's reactions - including Fred and Velma - are to declare it a medical emergency and speed right to the nearest animal hospital shows that they genuinely care for one another and can recognize when something is really wrong.
  • In Night of the Upsetting Shorts, the gang visits Shaggy’s Grammy who introduces him to her competitive friends as the leader of Mystery INC. Fred, though upset, swallows his pride and plays along. Daphne even jumps in and pretends to be Shaggy’s girlfriend to make his grandmother happy.
  • "I love you too, son."
    • Fred's relationship with his father double as Tear Jerker for Mystery Incorporated fans, since Fred was The Woobie in the previous show for his track record with his 'father' and his real parents. And the last time he ever told both sets of parents that he loved them, they were later revealed in the same episode to have betrayed him out of selfishness rather than considering their son's well-being. This moment in Be Cool! can be seen as a Throw the Dog a Bone for Fred.
  • Shaggy's speech to Nate and Kimmy in Scooby Dooby Do during their wedding is really heartwarming with Scooby complimenting him for it.
