Baymax is a huggable marshmallow who helps give emotional support wherever he goes.
- Kiko explains that she's not afraid of water; she can't go to the community pool without remembering how her late husband loved swimming in there, always telling her to "live a little" but never got the courage to. Baymax tells Kiko that she's in good health and that it's not too late to "live a little". This gives her the courage to join Baymax for a swim with a photo of the two of them next to a picture of Kiko's late husband.
- In Episode 3, Baymax helps reassure Sofia that getting a period isn't life threatening and that it won't change who she is on the inside. He states that it's "just biology".Baymax: You're getting older, your body may change...but you will always be you.
- In the same episode, Baymax decides to go out for a Tampon Run and meets up with numerous people — including a trans man and a father — who give him suggestions on what to purchase.
- Sofia blurts out to her male best friend Ali that she got her period. Ali, while taken aback, isn't grossed out or embarrassed by this at all, and tries to comfort her by pointing out the potential silver lining of getting out of gym class. Of course, Sofia likes gym class, so this isn't much consolation, but it's still a very refreshing portrayal of a teen boy being willing to discuss menstruation.
- Related: when Sofia informs Hiro that she knows Baymax because he helped her with her first period, Hiro is surprised but otherwise takes this in stride and is clearly grateful for how quickly she jumps into helping him find Baymax.
- Mbita is unsure what he can do with is life because he can't continue his family's fish soup business, but Baymax reassures him that it's okay to take a break and do something else for the time being. He ends up sampling other wares at the farmer's market and asking Yukio out on a date.
- The way that Baymax petted Yachi to calm him down while saying 'Hairy Baby. Hairy baby.'
- In the finale, everyone Baymax helped comes together to rescue him. Even Yachi. Allowing Baymax to say the words, "I am satisfied with my care."
