Why would Clark repair (and keep) the Wagon Queen Family Truckster , and had it's tittle transferred to CA. (The license plate format is pre-1987 design) When he clearly live and works in Chicago area (not likely to already open a B&B in CA) for.....a least until 1997 Vegas Vacation era.)

- But he clearly hate that wagon , and even if he did turn out love it , why wouldn't he transfer the tittle of that car to CA back in 80s (hence the pre-1987 format plates) , and just left it there for all this years , while he live and works in Chicago area......when he could just ship it back to Illinois(way cheaper than paying for 10+ years of storage and tittle transfer fee.) and keep it close , later bring it to SF when he moved there and open the B&B.)
- (The point of the question is : according to plot , That car is the original one Clark got back in '83 , and judge by license plates , it's registered in CA since pre-1987 , so , why would he registered and keep the car there , when he lives cross the country.)
