The timeline of The Ascent makes no sense. The Prophecy 2 is explicitly stated to take place four years after the previous film; by The Ascent Danyael is at least old enough to drive, meaning at least twenty years have passed since the first film. Yet none of the returning human characters (the coroner, the diner waitress, Mary)have aged more than the five real-world years between films. The waitress (who isn't young) even remembers meeting Gabriel in the first film, despite Gabriel looking very different. Plausible after five years, very less plausible after 15-20.
