• Why Oogie Boogie didn't just destroy Dr. Finkelstein's brain after changing it with a bad brain who served him instead of leaving it just five meters away? If he had either squashed or burned it, then Jack would have found no way to change him back to normality and Dr. Finkelstein would have likely succeeded in destroying Jack.
  • Well, it may be possible that Oogie intended to place Dr. Finklestein's real brain back on his head once Jack was destroyed, possibly to force him to live with the guilt of having eliminated the Pumpkin King. Oogie is cruel, without doubt.
  • Let's remember that Oogie is full of bugs. This possibly means that together they must make Oogie's decisions. Perhaps some of his bugs were not so bad and chose to leave the original brain of Dr. Finkelstein intact and then return it to normal, regardless Jack was destroyed or forced to leave Halloweentown forever. Even Evil Has Standards...
  • It is additionally possible that Dr. Finklestein's original brain knows or could know important things that the evil brain does not, so Oogie kept it around just in case.
• While fighting Oogie at the end, Jack assures Oogie that his scheme is over and that his next stop will be jail, which means he intends to have him thrown in prison for his actions. In the end, however, Jack kills Oogie once more. Why did he warn him that he would have him locked away if he wasn't going to do so? In fact, assuming that Oogie can still return through the surviving bugs, arresting him would have been a better way to restrain him and prevent him from potentially returning...
