Headscratchers / The Cramp Twins

Go To

  • What's with those little lines outside everybody's outline?

  • One has purple skin. One doesn't. How does their mother mix them up?
    • Color-Coded Characters, maybe?
      • That doesn't seem to be the case, as in one episode, Wayne spray paints Lucien's skin to resemble his.
    • She's that stupid.

  • Why are they called the Cramp "Twins"? They don't look like each other at all. Also, why does the mother allow junk in the house, but not dirt/animals?
    • They are non identical twins.
      • The opening shows them both in the same womb, how are they not twins?
      • They're twins, but non-identical twins. Lucian even points this out explicitly ("we're totally non-identical") in an episode where a twin researcher comes to live with them. Not all twins are identical.

  • Is anyone by the episode "holesome" where Mrs. Cramp attempts to deliberatly get one of her family members' clothes so she can test out a new cleaning product she bought, why didn't she just try it on herself?
    • Maybe her obsession with keeping things clean means that her own clothes can't get any cleaner than they already are, no matter what product she uses on them.
    • She tries to make a mess but can't bring herself to do it.

  • It appears that this show takes place in an Ambigious Timeline, here's an example, Lucien has a computer in his room, okay, but then there's an episode which goes back to the old west, and it turns out that Seth Parsons is happens to have been an outlaw during those times known as Little Hat, and it's implied that his boss, the Bad Seed, is Mr. Cramp, so, if not, an Ambigious Timeline, should we assume that the Soap in Soap City keeps everyone young, or if you go with the former, the adults are just youthful looking people in their elderly ages?
    • Tony does say that his dad is old. I guess he really, really meant it.

  • Why doesn't Wayne just get a restraining order on Wendy?
    • He's ten. He wouldn't know about such things.
    • Well, when you have Lucien for a brother, he'd (Wayne) probably take it into consideration eventually.
    • Wendy is the daughter of the richest and most powerful man in town, who that his own cleaning police force that can steal toys from children without a reprisal, that's not going to stick. Also Mr and Mrs Cramp are banking on Wayne and Wendy hooking up in the future so they wouldn't let their son get an order.
    • Plus, Lucien wouldn't help Wayne with that anyway because he enjoys seeing Wayne cower in fear of Wendy. Hell, there are episodes where Lucien voluntarily allowed Wendy to get closer to Wayne knowing he's in a defenseless state (like when he was sick).

  • How old is Tony really? Despite being the shortest member of the cast by quite a margin, his voice is deeper than all of the kids who made appearances in the show, his level of maturity and wisdom often supersedes Lucien's, and he is not shown going to school. In one episode when he is trying on new shoes, Lucien asks him how he feels, and he replies 'Like a new man'. The episode where he is about to get married, and actually seriously going through with it gives credence to the fact that he could be at least 18, but is willingly still living at home due to how close-knit his family is, and is friends with Lucien possibly because he's the only one who won't treat him as an outcast should he leave the swamp community.

  • Regarding Mommy Mania, why didn't Mrs. Cramp just have Lucien take care of things while she was gone?
