Headscratchers / The Babysitter (2017)

  • Why did Bee and her mates specifically target Cole for their blood ritual?
    • Virgin blood, and Bee said that for his blood, it was "top shelf", indicating it was not just the fact it was virgin blood, but that it was special.
  • After Bee saw Cole jump up and pass out in the bedroom, why didn't she just kill him then and there? It doesn't even have to be loud and bloody, she could just tuck the unconscious boy into bed, smother him with a pillow and clean the room. Sure, she does like the kid, but clearly not enough to not shoot at him with a shotgun. It'll be easier to just kill him rather than tying him up and trying to explain the ritual as a science project.
    • At that point she didn't have any obvious reason to believe that Cole had seen the ritual, so may have assumed she could still talk him down and claim that there was a more innocent explanation for everything he'd seen so far.
  • Why didn't Bee and the cult complete the ritual during the film's runtime rather than dealing with Cole? The sequel shows that it's as simple as dripping the bloods into a cup and drinking it.
    • Priorities. Making their excuses to Cole and then trying to kill him became more important than conducting the ritual, lest he call the cops again.
  • What was Bee going to wish for?
    • It can be assumed that her part of the Deal with the Devil involved having to sacrifice virgins to the Devil regularly.
