  • The moon the station is on enters what they call “shadow lock”, which means Saturn is eclipsing the moon. Because of this, they lose radio contact with the base ship, earth, everything for 20+ days. Um... why, now? They set up this expensive station but didn’t bother to build any relays that could be... in a different direction than the sun? Actual real technology of the 1970s could have worked around this.

  • When Keitel/Benson tries to evade Hector in the lab, is there any reason he dives onto the lab table which is absolutely covered with tools, bottles, etc? It seems clear the only reason is because the production wanted him on that table, but it’s certainly something no real person would do.
