Headscratchers / PAW Patrol: The Movie

Go To

  • How are the citizens in danger able to assist Ryder in rescuing Chase by lowering him down with his parachute? Despite being short when he lands on the building, Chase's parachute somehow becomes longer to enable the citizens to help him...

  • If Mayor Humdinger really hates how Marty Muckraker ridiculed him in the news, why doesn't Humdinger simply have Muckraker arrested?
    • Marty was being negative, however he did not make personally insulting comments regarding Humdinger. Ergo, it's more akin to criticism, and arresting a news anchor because they're being critical is a gross violation of freedom of the press laws.
      • Given that Humdinger wanted to get rid of Paw Patrol because "they were stealing glory from him", him arresting a news anchor just because he criticized him would be in-character for Humdinger, especially given the fact that he has now bigger authority than being a mayor of small town.

  • Why doesn't Chase bite Mayor Humdinger's men when they kidnap him to escape?
    • Because that's not his personality.
      • Plus, I was always under impression that pups are too innocent to even harm someone.

  • As Ryder tells Chase why he rescued him, Chase says that Ryder likely saved him from being run over by a vehicle out of pity, but Ryder confides to him that he did so because Chase showed himself to be brave. Being in front of a vehicle which is gonna run you over and just staying there crouched isn't something that one would do out of cowardice?
    • Ryder was referring to Chase living alone in the city, not that scene in particular. And it's not cowardice, it's panic.

  • Why is the Kitten Catastrophe Crew arrested at the end alongside Humdinger? Unlike in the show, they didn't do anything wrong this time. In contrast, why do Humdinger's henchmen not get arrested despite kidnapping dogs under his orders?
    • Actually, Butch and Ruben can be seen in the credits riding on bicycle with a stroller of kittens attached to it, so we can assume that they were sentenced to community service.

  • Why aren't Everest or Tracker included in the movie? They are honorary members of the PAW Patrol, but here it looks like Liberty is the first honorary member of the team. And where is Robo-Dog?
    • Because the movie is about the "original members of Paw Patrol".

  • Why doesn't Mayor Humdinger just ban the Paw Patrol from operating in Adventure City? If he has the authority to shut the university down and order all the dogs rounded up, surely he could've at least tried to publically have Ryder's city base shut down?

  • Why did the Patrol wait until the end to arrest Humdinger? Two of the three charges against him are gross negligence and endangering people - surely he's guilty of those from the moment he set all the fireworks off (which he was filmed doing)?
    • Not to mention all the despicable acts he committed in the main show.

  • If citizens of Adventure City started to hate Humdinger, then why they didn't rebelled against him aka. went on strike in front of his town hall to get him out of the city? Especially if they learned that he was the one that was kidnapping their pet dogs.
