  • Primarily, he has no idea and neither will we. He was only really alive when he was free in New York, his times in prison and outside New York were him in limbo or a comatose stage.

• With Max having been as notorious a person as he was, how likely is it that nobody had outed him as the former gangster prior to 1968?
  • He had gained lots of money and political power since the betrayal, using those to buy his opponents.
