Headscratchers / Nanny McPhee

Go To

  • Tora is shown to be a holding Baby Aggie in her arms, but in the next scene, when the repaired rattle drops from the sky, Aggie is shown inside the basket that the rattle falls into.

  • Where did Aunt Adelaide go after she fainted? She seems to have disappeared altogether when Cedric and Evangeline finally get married.

  • The Minister overseeing the wedding has a surprisingly calm reaction to seeing what is a blatant act of the supernatural occurring at Cedric's wedding. Not only has it suddenly begun to snow in August, but his formerly-filthy clothes are now clean, and snowflakes are turning the bride-to-be's gown into a wedding dress right before his eyes. Has he seen that kind of magic before? You might expect a more severe reaction from him, considering that the church takes rather a dim view on witchcraft and suchlike.
    • Remember the kitchen scene? Once the children say "please, Nanny McPhee'' and the kitchen is put back to how it was before, neither Evangeline nor Mrs Blatherwick have any memory of the incident; as far as they're concerned, the children have been unusually quiet in spite of their having been sent to bed without any supper.
