Headscratchers / Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi

Go To

Why 'didn't' Xue Yang go after Xiao Xingchen once he was a free man again? Either in the drama after escaping the Nie, or in the novel after he was released by the Jin. In both instances he targets Baixue Temple, in order to "get back" at Xiao Xingchen through his best friend and his family (and it is implied he couldn't attack Xiao Xingchen's kin directly because they are in an unknown, mysterious, unreachable mountain). But if he managed to track down Song Lan then it wouldn't be difficult to reach Xiao Xingchen eventually. So, why didn't he kill him?

Wouldn't Jiang Cheng, along with everyone else, realized Wei Ying had lost his Golden Core after say ten years? The whole point of cultivating and achieving the Core is to become a wise immortal, right? And all the characters can live for hundreds, if not thousands of years if they achieve high cultivation with their Cores. So without his Core, wouldn't Wei Ying have begun to noticeably age anyway? I get not saying anything for the first few years, nobody is gonna notice a huge change in a small window of time, but after, as I said, about ten years, wouldn't they have all noticed and figured it out? His demonic cultivation didn't allow him to use his sword anymore, but are we to assume it would have also slowed aging?
