- How is it Mr. Bernardi wasn’t fired for his treatment towards Millie, since a teacher bullying a student would be grounds for dismissal, especially if all Millie would need to do is go the principal and explain it?
- Millie’s relative lack of confidence may have stopped her from reporting Mr. Bernardi for what she might have "felt" was a legitimate criticism, and she doesn’t seem to have been popular enough for anyone else in the class to do it on her behalf.
- How is Millie not going to end up charged with the murders of the people the Blissfield Butcher killed while possessing her? It’s not like the cops are going to buy the “it was someone else inhabiting my body due to an Aztec curse!” defense.
- While in theory all murders should be investigated, here there was an "obvious" suspect who ends up dead so there's no risk of appeals since there's no trial.
