  • Why didn't King Drasil just send Omnimon? He's seen at the end and in the opening, and he's arguably one of the most powerful Digimon in the entire franchise, so why didn't King Drasil send his strongest to attack the humans who he knows have stood up to very powerful Digimon? One of which is a freaking Demon Lord, the fuck!?
  • So Thomas didn't tell anybody that he was going to pretend to work for Kurata, which led to a fight with Marcus that got taken to such a far extreme that Agumon ended up being reverted to a Digiegg, which would wipe Agumon's memory completely. So, basically, for all he knew, Thomas had Gaomon kill Agumon.
    • Thomas didn't have Mirage Gaogamon kill Agumon. Mirage Gaogamon was purposefully pulling his punches when fighting with the other DATS members (Ikuto and Gaomon explicitly say this later). What killed Agumon was Masaru freaking the hell out using a power Thomas wasn't aware existed. He couldn't tell Masaru because well - Masaru would screw up his plan. But it was kind of not cool he didn't tell any of the others.
  • Why does Keenan talk in the typical "neanderthal" speech in the dub when he was raised by Digimon that spoke perfect English?
    • There are monsters in the Digital World who don't speak at all, so they were probably content with being able to understand Keenan. Furthermore, he's ten. Some kids will start speaking in strange grammar structure to make themselves sound more unique. In the real world, parents and teachers would probably correct that before caveman speak became too much of a habit but the Digimon likely didn't care because again, many of them don't speak at all.
    • Also, aside from Falcomon, his other friends were a Bubbmon, Motimon, and an Otamamon. Two infants and a Digimon known for being an idiot. We never hear them talk, but I bet he picked it up from them.
    • Maybe he doesn't know how form the correct sounds with his mouth. His foster mother doesn't like she has a visible mouth to help him learn and his digimon is a bird that has a beak that is different from a human mouth.
    • The answer is that the dub was simply translating the bad grammar in the original japanese.
  • Why were the humans not told that the Digital World existed? Sure, something like the DATS would be necessary if a criminal or the like wanted to use a Digimon for his or her own purposes. But I can't find a reason to keep the Digital World secret from everyone not in the government / the DATS.
    • Take one look at Kurata and tell me if that's such a good idea. It was established that not everyone is ready to handle the idea of Digimon or digial world.
  • Perhaps it's established better later on, but why does Thomas outclass Marcus so much during their boxing match when they first meet. Marcus doesn't have the tactical skills, but he is still a highly accomplished street fighter. He took out a dozen guys by himself and fought Agumon for hours; this is besides the fact that he straight out punches Champion-level Digimon on a comparable strength level. Thomas' style is to order Gaomon, so he should be on par with Marcus at best.
    • He is on par with Marcus. During the fight, Marcus was being cocky and underestimated Thomas, allowing him to connect the first punch and knocking him down enough time to "win" the match (it's later shown Thomas is a boxing fan, and practices it regularly).
    • Something else to consider is that boxing only has four legal strikes and strikes can only land above the pants. One can't just step into a boxing ring and expect to do well, even if they are accomplished fighters otherwise.
  • Where were the Royal Knights and Yggdrasil/King Drasil during Kurata's rampage? Each one individually could single-handedly wipe out Kurata's Gizumon army, the Bio-Hybrids, and even Belphemon. If they had become involved right at the beginning, Kurata would have never had a chance. Yet they only get involved AFTER Kurata has been defeated. This makes no sense whatsoever.
    • Good question. One explanation could be that all thirteen were occupied elsewhere; Kurata's actions were never shown to affect more than a small area of a single quadrant of the Digital World. As for the Belphemon thing, he only threatened the human world, making it not their problem. Also, Crusadermon couldn't wipe them out by herself.
    • Drasil was watching and not doing anything because it's an asshole with a god complex. The knights only did what Drasil told them to until they got fed up with it as its malfunctions became more clear.
  • Okay, about the Ultimate Power OVA, how did Algomon do all that? How did he manage to take down four Burst Mode Digimon and a Royal Knight?
    • He caught them off guard? Did something to put humans asleep before they could react?
  • So, why exactly was Gizumon AT stronger than what its level suggested?
    • Angemon was a Champion who would routinely trade blows with Ultimates. It's not unheard of for Digimon to have power far beyond what their evolutionary level suggests.
    • Also, we have to take in consideration that Gizumon is an Artificial Digimon. His level refers to its evolutionary stage (Proto-Gizumon as the Child, AT as an Adult and XT as an Perfect because that's the order of growth). For comparison, Arkadimon shares a really similar background and it was able to kill an(injured) Ultimate when it was in his Baby II Stage
  • Since the Bio Digimon are transformed from humans, why aren't they Hybrid-leveled?
    • Because the Digimons they transformed into already have pre-established levels: Armor for their first form, and Ultimate/Mega for their final form. Besides, bringing up Hybrid levels long after they're done with them would be a bad idea both marketing-wise and story-wise.
  • Remember that Yoshino mentioned digimon food? Why can Agumon eat human food just fine if what she said was true.
    • It's possible that they were just mistaken on the matter until Agumon proved that they could eat human food. The digimon food thing was never brought up again.
    • It's also entirely possible that it was just a white lie in order to get Masaru to either join DATS or give up Agumon.
    • Maybe the Digimon food is supposed to replicate the closest thing the Digimon can eat in their native home which might be better for their bodies then human food? Maybe they are afraid that it is the whole if you spoiled dog with human food he would refused to eat anything else like his own dog food. If a digimon refused to eat anything other then human food and ends up stuck in the Digimon world, they might starve because they refuse to eat anything else other than human food.
  • Why is turning Relena into a Bio-Hybrid in order to cure her treated as a horrific thing?
    • Besides the fact it puts the Norsteins into debt with a murderous war criminal? Well, there's no reason they couldn't do it after Kurata was gone, unless the process involves killing digimon or something.
  • The most basic thing no one asked for is: why the evolution line changed for some Digimon? Apparently is pointed out for Agumon in the main article. But Piyomon digievolves into Birdramon in the first series, and into Aquilamon in Savers. It Happen to the previous form of Digmon during the first travel of Marcus to the Digital World.
    • Digimon isn't Pokémon. Unlike Pokémon, who largely have a single evolution path per species, most Digimon have several possible paths. Piyomon -> Aquilamon -> Garudamon isn't even close to being one of the weirdest ones; at least they're all avian-themed. You can see an exhaustive list of things Piyomon can evolve from and to here.
    • In addition to several possible paths, what those possible paths even are change every V-pet release, every video game and every card game, to the point Digimon that could be evolved from some forms become impossible later, such as Gabumon to Angemon. Sometimes Digimon levels change, such as Mechinorimon being downgraded from perfect to adult. Sometimes species change. In a mere two years Deathmon was an entirely different monster. Only certain things like armor levels and hybrid levels remain consistent, and even then not completely. Are armor levels equivalent to champion, ultimate or do their stats work entirely different to other Digimon? Yes, all three are true! Namco-Bandai usually brushes all of this aside by stating every Digimon work is an Alternate Universe where the rules work at the writer's convenience. There is much less Magic A Is Magic A levels consistency than something like Pokémon, where mechanical changes often cause uproars, but at least there is a handwave, which is more than can be said for stuff like Monster Rancher.
