Headscratchers / Crimes of the Future (2022)

• So if we operate under the assumption that the weird future location shown in this film is somewhere in North America (reasonable given the preponderance of appropriate accents, and perhaps more acceptable than assuming that the characters all moved to Greece because if the future depicted is largely driven by climate change, then one could assume that the currently very warm Greece may be rendered potentially uninhabitable by that time, right?) my question is - where in the USA or Canada is it? Or put a different way, which location(s) in either of those countries can Athens, Greece do California Doubling for?
