  • Destroying the Scrin control node in final GDI mission brings the entire Scrin operation to a crumbling halt. But wait. The node was constructed after the invasion had already begun. How did the Scrin function before then? This troper senses some serious Plot Hole here.
    • By that moment, Foreman 371 already left, leaving only his AI to cover his escape. It makes sense that disabling this AI shuts down the control over the troops. In other words, both Kane and Scrin tricked GDI into going for a Keystone Army critical objective to let the real priority target (Threshold 19) remain intact.
    • Also, it is entirely possible that the control structure was a part of Scrin flagship and commanded them in space, with its "construction" being more like "crash landing and hastily converting a downed ship into a bunker".
    • The Scrin likely arrived with a large amount of reserve energy when they first landed and could conduct operations on their own for a while. The control node presumably took over in transmitting the radiation needed for operations to the Scrin as the invasion progressed and their local reserves were drained. Either that, or it was already transmitting the energy while they were en route and landing, and continued to do so after they deployed on the surface.
