As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

Even the threat of unleashing incomprehensible dangers and unraveling psyches from on all sides can’t stop this offbeat cast and crew from putting on one heck of a show!

Welcome Home Website

  • In the guest book there are multiple words that are censored with a black bar, and you need to highlight them in order to see what is said. Most of them are swear words, except one. What word is deserving enough to be censored? Tumblr.
  • Also in the guest book, one person going by Nostalgia very brazenly admits that they "simp" for Wally. While Wally likely doesn't know what the term simp means his png response adds to the humor.
Wally (through an image of a phone): thenanswerme_.png
  • One of the guest book messages is "Hello! I Love Clowns! Show Me One!" Wally responds with a picture of Barnaby, which has a rather amusing png message attached to it.
    Wally: idonotknowwhatclownis_iaskedfrank_hesaidbarnaby_hereisbarnaby.png note
  • Another guest book message affectionately calls Wally a doll. What's his png response to this? To remind the guest that he's actually a puppet.
  • In the November 2023 mini-update, some mysterious instructions have appeared on the website. A month later, Wally obliges... sorta.
    • "Write Hello" results in Wally simply writing "Hello" in crayon. But with the similar "Write OK" command, he instead uses a bunch of stickers and banners to make an OK-shaped collage, leaving a bunch of other banners in a chaotic mess. Also, if you zoom out of the page, you'll find that he made a stylized house and put a pixel art of himself and Home inside of it.
    • "Reverse this image of Sally" - The image is replaced by an image of the back of the curtain, with Sally barely visible behind it. Howering on the image reveals a hidden message where Wally admits that he didn't fully understand the command. Of course Wally would be computer-illiterate.
    • "Move Barnaby" - One of the colored "Barnaby" banners has been moved outside of the web page. Also, Wally drew a small derpy doodle of Barnaby.
    • "Turn The Playfellow Exhibition upside down" - Every instance of the word "The Playfellow Exhibition" has been turned upside-down. Hovering the cursor on a nearby Christmas tree doodle reveals a message where Wally once again explains that he wasn't sure what to do... And then suddenly changes topic and wishes us a happy Homewarming.
  • The crimes against food present in the cookbook include hot dogs covered in thumbtacks (or dunked in hot cocoa), gelatin with a single pea in it, and gelatin with a cup of hot cocoa in it, among others.

Welcome Home Recordings and Videos

  • The fact that Barnaby's adopted mother, Ms. Beagle, is the chicken who crossed the road can illicit a few giggles.
  • Anytime Poppy is sufficiently surprised or frightened enough she lets out a chicken like scream.
  • Barnaby's jokes:
    • When he and Wally visit Howdy's bodega and he offers to pay for their hotdogs (in the neighborhood, jokes are used in place of currency):
Barnaby: "What do you call a caterpillar after a month long nap? A butterfly! But if you ask me, I'd call him a doctor."
    • This little gem from when you listen to the prerecorded toy phone:
Barnaby: "What did the bee say to the flower? I wouldn't know, I wasn't there! What do I look like, a BEE's-dropper?"
    • Barnaby's "scary tale" in the "HAPPY HAUNTING AND BOO TO YOURS" storybook record:
Barnaby: "What did a vampire, a zombie, and a ghost say when they walked into the bar? They said "owch!" 'Cept for the ghost— he says it went right through him!"
  • In this hidden video, Sally and Poppy are talking about a cake that the former needs for one of her plays. Then Poppy asks her what flavor she wanted. Sally's prima donna mannerisms cease instantly when she realizes that she Didn't Think That Far.
  • These bits from the transcript of "Eddie's Big Lift" (especially in light of their censored relationship):
    Julie: FRANK NEXT! FRANK NEXT!!
Eddie: [chipper, Man On The Job] All right then!
    Frank: Don't you dare.
Eddie: [Tone exactly the same, backing off] Wouldn't dream of it!
    • Also in light of their censored relationship, we have Frank's very... interesting delivery of "Oh my!" when he sees Eddie successfully lifting Barnaby.
    • At the end of the skit, there's this as well:
Frank: [Frank looks down at him, rotating his head a bit as if to shake it.] You always did work too hard.
      Eddie: Wha? Huh?
Frank: I'm going inside. Enjoy the ground, Mr. Dear.
Eddie: Alrighty! S-say, uh, before you go, any chance I could get a hand gettin' up— [door closing sound] oh, you're gone. That's fine! I'll, uh, get to pickin' myself up… before the cows come home, heh-heh.
  • Also from "Eddie's big lift":
Frank: Yes, I could probably lift you if sufficiently motivated, Julie.
Julie: [In the tone of a Woman Scorned] And yet you never play "throw-Julie-up-in-the-air-as-hard-as-you-can-and-see-where-she-lands" with me.
  • There's a recording that can be found of a live interview from someone who sounds awfully familiar, featuring Wally and Barnaby showcasing how the both of them are charming and quick-witted.
Talk Show Host: I'd say you're quite the popular character now.
    Wally: I am?
    Talk Show Host: You are!
    Wally: I am!
  • This exchange from the "Just So" Song Demo:
Frank: (after being asked to explain what "just so" means) Well, think of a box of crayons.
    Wally: Okay.
Frank: The colors go a certain way?
    Wally: ...Do they?
Julie: They do after Frank steals the box when you're not looking!
    Frank: Julie!
    Julie: (giggles)
Frank: Maybe you should go get the game set up at Home's front yard.
Julie: Ohh, good idea! I have to move the croquet hoops and tell Sally we're moving the opening ceremonies!
Frank: Thank you Julie- wait, hoops? You're not using hula hoops, are you-
    Julie: BYEEE FRAAANK!
Frank: JULIE YOU KNOW THOSE AREN'T REGULATION-
Julie: (runs away giggling until she's out of earshot)
    Wally: Bye, Julie.
    (Beat)
    Wally: …I don't mind that you re-order my crayons.note
  • This hidden video features Eddie calling Frank to come help take care of a bug that he claims is running amok in his office, and his exasperation over the situation keeps escalating, much to Frank's growing amusement:
Frank: (Walking into the post office) Hello? Mr. Dear? I'm here about your emergency!
Eddie: Thank the stars you're here, Frank- I mean Mr. Frankly! We're in a heap of trouble! There's some kina- You know, like a- a whatchamacallit in here!
Frank: A whatchamacallit? I'm afraid I only deal with bugs Mr. Dear.
Eddie: A bug, a critter, a guest, a neighbor! Whatever it is, it's upheavin' my whole post office! Just look at what it's done with the paper chains!
Frank: It made these? It did a wonderful job! Maybe you should consider hiring it!

Other

  • The Makeship Wally Plush trailer starts off with a classic cheesy announcement appropriate for the early 70s, only to reveal a heavily-pixellated toy (implied to be a real bootleg Wally toy) which horrifies the narrator (Howdy) and has it covered up with a cardboard version of Home until they replace it with the offical Wally toy. The trailer then hypes up everything the Wally plush can do such as standing up (with the black gloved hands clearly visible holding him), sitting, exploring, eating, and talking!
    * The Wally Makeship plush does not talk.
    * We don't know what he's talking about either.
    • After Howdy comments that if someone was pulling a joke on him with the bootleg it wasn't funny, we can hear Wally laughing, implying that he was pulling a joke on Howdy.
    • Wally's commentary when the toy's "dancing" abilities are demonstrated. Hearing Wally say things like "Groovy!" and "Far out!" in his usual Creepy Monotone is simultaneously funny and adorable.
    • Initially, Howdy openly praises the doll's dancing skills. Then he starts getting annoyed when it keeps going... and going... Eventually he loses his patience and blurts out "Alright alright, we get it, the peanut can dance, move on al-"
    • It then cuts to Wally sitting on a rotating platform as Howdy continues talking, with Wally quietly making microwave noises in the background.
  • Yet another plush is presented by Howdy, this time one of Barnaby, in front of a live studio audience of a couple dozen Wally plushies. Each interacting with each other in the same slow, quiet voice.
Wally Plush #1: I heard this guy is funny.
Wally Plush #2: I heard this guy is funny, too.
    • As Howdy gets ready to show off the plush, the Wallys begin to get rowdy... or as rowdy as Wally could possibly be.
Howdy: Well, I got a fresh new batch of "you-won't-believe-your-eyes" type of goods, that'll knock your block clean off your shoulders!
Wally Plush #1: Oh! I can't wait to see what it is.
Wally Plush #2: Oh! I can't wait to see it too.
Wally Plush #3: I wonder who is up there.
Wally Plush #4: I wonder too.
Wally Plush #5: Where is my block?
Howdy: Quiet down, you little peanuts, and I'll tell ya!
    • When Barnaby is revealed, he is met with a chorus of "Yaaaaays" and "Yippeeees," all once again in Wally's usual inflection.
