The Awakening Part 1

The Awakening Part 2

  • Alfie after being awakened as Seng. His mind can't handle the monk's powers so he's stuck in a stupor. He can't even stay upright while floating and just seems to wander wherever. He even walks up the edge of the frame at one point before going into the sky. Altogether he acts less like someone seeing into the cosmos and more like a stoner high on something. The goofy grin he gets on his face immediately after awakening certainly doesn't help.
  • Copernicus’s Paper-Thin Disguise. He passes by an identical-looking man and they just tip their hats to each other.

A Fateful Encounter

  • The reanimated soldier statues are all fully nude. Seng warns everyone not to look outside because it's too embarrassing, and then Edred looks outside next and is trying not to laugh at the nudity while trying to make sure Emma/Melinda doesn't see. Annoyed, she goes out and then becomes unnerved by the many nude soldier statues.
    • To spare her the embarrassment, Edred blocks her sight and distracts her while his magic sword goes around neutering every single statue in the background. Once it's done, the statues all look at the gap where their genitals used to be and roar.

What Lies Beneath

  • Emma and Edred getting hit in the faces with bricks.
  • Edred using his magic sword as his wingman to flirt with Emma. Bonus points for his coy smile as he commands the sword.
  • Winston reveals himself at that moment, killing the romantic atmosphere, Edred's sword immediately aims for his neck, as if echoing the sentiments of its master, who is clearly not happy at having to deal with a romantic rival.
  • Alfie, while trying to connect to the cosmic realm, falls on his head and realizes that being upside-down always helped with the connection, explaining why the boy would so often fly like that. His attempts to repeat that trick, however, just cause him to repeatedly fall onto the deck.
  • Shortly after the above, Alfie is startled by a zombie captain appearing from the side of the ship, roaring and then... taking his sweet time to climb onboard, struggling and grunting all the while, only to resume his roaring once he's on solid ground. When Alfie later picks up a sword using his foot (as his arms are dematerializing), the zombie captain actually looks genuinely impressed, grunting in awe.
  • Emma summons a sea monster to free them from the Evil's trap, and tries to dismiss it as a non-issue as it drags the ship into the depths. Cue another ship honking its horn, and the monster dragging it down seconds later.

The Past Within

  • Seng attempts to calm the creature down, culminating in a shot of its eye closing peacefully... then immediately zooming out to see its multiple other eyes all glaring at him. Cue a tentacle swatting him aside.
  • Little Melinda showing Emma Merlin’s study and trying to get her home. The kid tries and use a mystic crystal called the Crossways to open a portal to London but instead some kind of futuristic robot comes through. At first it looks like some hostile device ready to attack…dust bunnies as it turns out to be some kind of cleaning robot. And Emma and Melinda are still scared of it.

The Heart of Kings

Darkness Before the Dawn

  • When the trio finds Winston fainted against a tree, Emma/Melinda has to look away in embarrassment because he's nude, with her head censoring his lower body.
  • Winston dramatically recounts the tale of how he became a werewolf to the heroes… but stops when he notices he’s wearing a metal diaper that Copernicus fashioned for him. He’s even impressed by how sturdy it is too.
  • Merlin describes his epic team up with the mighty Rakshasa… only to abruptly end it just at the part where Otto’s airship arrived saying “and then there was a fight and so forth.”
  • Winston finally gets on Edred's nerves enough for Edred to punch him in the face. Cue the full moon reemerging and Winston transforming back into his Wolf Man form, having seemingly gone feral once again. The first thing Winston does upon getting back to Edred? Punch him in the face. Winston then goes on to flail Edred around by grabbing his hair with his fangs. It might be the most comically petty way a werewolf has demonstrated being in control of its own actions.

A Love's Last Light

  • Really, everything Winston does:
    • He excitedly compares Seng's possession as something out of a science-fiction novel, before he realizes it's actually like science-horror.
    • Within the Cosmic Realm, he's literally crouching down and whimpering like a dog.
    • Emma/Melinda gives him belly rubs, and then he playfully has her touch his fangs and pretends to bite her, much to her amusement.
    • He thinks Merlin and Rakshasa are playing chess (they're playing out the future) and wishes to challenge the "winner" when they're done.
    • When Emma/Melinda is unsure about who she is, he tries to come up with a combination of the two names but stumbles a lot on the last one.
    • Winston's Vocal Dissonance. He has the exact same posh accent in wolf form that he had in human form, which just adds to the hilarity due to how unfitting it sounds for his werewolf body.
  • Copernicus trying to pet Seng's pet lion like a puppy. One growl and the robot suddenly decides the other side of the cave is more interesting.
