Funny / There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension

Go To

General

  • Game reacting to the strange and creative solutions to the various puzzles.

Chapter 1

  • The Overly Long Gag at the end of Chapter 1. Game and the user (and all previous voices) get sent to various foreign versions of There is No Game, going from Indian to Russian to French to Japanese to Ancient Roman to Prehistoric and then to Futuristic. Then it just goes into Chapter 2.
Russian Game: How many you are? Show me papers!
Game: Only if you say "please"!

Chapter 2

  • Holmes thinks that the wind, which is actually Game's voice, has a Russian accent.
    • But I'm not Russian!
  • After the telettrophone turns on this exchange occurs:
Holmes: It allows you to communicate with another person from a distance instantly.
Watson: I say! And how many of them exist?
Holmes: This is the only one of its kind.
    Beat
    Watson: So it's useless.
    Holmes: It's useless.
  • Game's reaction to the Copy Protection System coming up, in the middle of one of Mr. Glitch's monologues no less.

Chapter 3

  • After Hero breaks the sword in the pedestal, he asks Gaia (actually Game) for courage, strength...or a pair of gardening shears.
    • The solution deserves mention: By unscrewing the backing of the life meter, you can give Hero an almost-literal Sword of Life.
  • Hero winds up drowning after getting the Sword of Life. Game immediately assumes it's because of Hero's Idiot Hero status, but Hero deliberately invoked his Super Drowning Skills to get back to the grass faster.
  • Enlarging the bomb Hero has to carry results something too heavy, and the resulting explosion is far more powerful, making Hero's experience particularly painful if the bomb blows up in its state. It's only one heart like a normal sized bomb, but his response afterward sells how painful it was. Hero hopes for all the trouble he's going through that the princess is hot.
  • At the beginning of the final battle, The Dark Lord was flabbergasted of finding out that the goddess Gaia (the Game’s voice) is Russian.
Game: Oh come on now! Hero. Crush him!

Chapter 4

  • Just about every single Take That! towards Free-2-Pay games:
    • The introduction alone. What with the opening credits featuring Money Money Money Edition, Flying Squirrel Interactive collaborating with TrashMyGame.Neit, the title now being ''Legend Of The Secret: Ultimate Clicker VIP Edition Deluxe 4.2 Free, the loading message explicitly stating "Collection of Personal Data", and the actual game cannot be played without: linking to a HEADFACE account, allowing access to all private info (including your DNA Sequencing), and reading the overly long terms of service. All this really setting the mood of what's to come.
    • Loot Boxes are randomly found by Hero, which feature a roulette that either grants you a one million in-game coin prize, or an ad. But of course, even if you're good enough to land on the one million coins every time, it'll deliberately move one space to the left/right to deny your prize, complete with a "whish!" sound.
    • Progression is locked behind required items (in this case, a sword) that require real money instead of the in-game currency. There's even frequent roadblocks/paywalls that have to be payed for, one of which reaching an impossibly high cost of a million coins, which can naturally only be bypassed by breaking the system.
    • The ridiculous amount of Product Placement for Crunchy Crunch Cereal, to the point where even the main villain shills it before the climatic final battle.
  • Both Hero and the Dark Lord being unable to see because of the former's energy bar being in the way, especially with the latter being constantly blinded by it.

Chapter 5

  • The second-to-last bit involves Game being unwillingly being made into the OST composer of the fake credits. His style? Rap, and he rhymes all his dialogue for this segment.

Chapter 6

  • Calling the Creator before Game reveals himself to his creator has some interesting lines. One of them is this:
    Creator: Yes?
    Game: Ughhm.. Beep. Beep. Beep.
Creator: Nice imitation, but I'm a lot better than that. Listen to this.
    Creator hangs up
    Phone beeps three times
    • If you keep calling him, eventually he will just pick up the phone and immediately hang up.
  • When the Creator finds out about the cyber attack caused by Mr. Glitch, the latter even resets the financial counters with a Rick Roll. The Creator thanks Rick because he was overdrawn on top of that.

The Stinger

  • After choosing to play the game, all of the foreign games get sent to the end of the Free-2-Play area freak out when they realize it's a Free2Play.
    Russian Game: It's a Free2Play!!!
Games: Oh no! We're all going to die!
