• The concept of the Ruby Reds in general, which is a box with 5 lips without faces.
• In "The Magic Key", there is a song in which Rusty asks if they have a fishing pole to catch the goblins, and the toys react by groaning.
  • During the same song, the crybabies compare the goblins to "itches you can't get near", to which Stein replies that it could give them an idea to do the same thing.
  • Later in the same episode, there is a scene where Aunt Agatha is talking to the kids and doesn't notice that the goblins are on her hat. Her reaction is priceless.
• In "We All Say Boo!", Stein says he is afraid of sauerkraut.
• In "Sing Yourself To Sleep", everyone is trying to sing a lullaby to Truman, when Johnny, out of nowhere, shouts that he wants to play rock and roll, causing the puppets to shush him.
• This exchange from one of the Charlene von Pickings episodes:
  Aunt Agatha: Well, what do you know? It's on the floor. Oh, yes. Um, with pleasure. Don't you just know that these new styles hug you head. It's like giving your hair a great big kiss!
  Charlene von Pickings: It feels wet.
  Aunt Agatha: Oh. Well, that's the new wet look, you see. I mean, uh, it keeps you coolin'.
  (she sees Lurk on Charlene's hat)
  AAAAH! THERE'S A RODENT ON YOUR HAT!
  Charlene von Pickings: A what?!
  Aunt Agatha: A RODENT!
  (Lurk leaps off Charlene's hat. Aunt Agatha and Charlene scream while running around in fear. It is at this moment that Noah walks in.)
  Aunt Agatha: Come back! I have hats without rodents in the back!
• The "It's You" song in "Skunked" qualifies as this, mainly the negative reactions the other toys and Johnny have to Bonita and Warloworth's love for each other, which is topped off by Warloworth telling Bonita to ignore their comments, causing them to act like nothing was ever said about it.
