- When Will arrives home after testing Divisa and hunting for birds, Blood surprises him by welcoming him home from behind, scaring Will so badly he trips and falls face first onto the floor.
- Gus and Blood teaches Will about the power of money through a gambling game, behind Mary's back. When she finds out, they're all punished with a severe and stern lecture.
- Will puts a wyvern in a headlock and kills it with a improvised judo throw/suplex. Everyone watching either watching in wide-eyed awe or befuddlement over his impromptu showing of brute force.
- To cap off Will's shock at realizing he's essentially become the defacto lord of Beast Woods, his goddess Gracefeel giggles at his expense when he asks her for guidance about the situation.
- When Will returns to the City of the Dead in book 3, Gus wonders why he's still single, and rattles off a list of cliche situations where a Stock Light-Novel Hero would normally have met a girl or three.Gus: On a more serious note, is there really no one? There’s normally something when you go adventuring. You know, like rescuing a strong-minded woman captured by bandits, or gallantly saving a merchant adventurer who lost her bodyguards, or recruiting a dependable swordswoman, or protecting a polite and proper lady of a fallen kingdom. Any number of things. Why are you giving me that look?
Will: All of those were guys.
Gus: (laughs his ass off) - Bee along with Will confronts Anna about her being in love with Reystov before him and Will go off to fight Valacirca. Anna does a Spit Take at Bee's asking about this and promptly goes as red as a tomato after Bee continues asking that she didn't actually think she was managing to keep this a secret.
- Bee decides to ask about what caused Anna to fall in love with him. Anna's saying that he has a wonderful smile (Reystov's appearance is practically eternally menacing) leaves Will and Bee surprised. She later goes on to express a hope that they can get married some day, leaving the two shocked that Reystov could be so far along in a romance.
Anime Specific
- After foiling Meneldor's attack, getting him and his co-conspirators tied up, and the village baying for their blood, Will tries to figure out what to do based on his parental figures' advice. After recalling Mary's telling him to show compassion to others, and Blood telling him to believe in himself and move forward with courage, Will then asks if he can solve this problem with money, complete with an image of Gus in the background, smiling and looking proud of his charge.
