Funny / The Amazing World of Gumball - Season 6

Go To

The Rival

  • Gumball and Darwin try to play hide and seek with Anais. When they take their hands off their eyes, they're suddenly on a freeway about to get hit by a truck that drives over them when they duck. However, Darwin's soul tries to fly away before Darwin grabs and reintegrates with it. Gumball comments that at least his soul was going upward.
  • When their parents reassure Gumball and Darwin that they still love the two of them no matter what, Anais dramatically declares war on them in baby talk... then gets giddy over shiny lights around her playpen.
  • Anais's attempts to get rid of her brothers:
    • Sealing the top of Darwin's fishbowl, which Darwin forgot that he can still breathe in.
    • Heating up the bathtub so much it melts the bath toy, and the water sprouts out like a geyser before Gumball gets in.
    • Rigging Darwin's toys with explosives, which Gumball narrowly saves him from.
  • While they eat breakfast, Anais makes her Nightmare Face. When nothing happens as the boys continue normally, Gumball points out something dastardly was done since she was still making that face at them. He was right.
  • When trying to save Anais from a trash compactor, Gumball gets Squashed Flat and recovers with a paper body.
  • When Gumball and Darwin realize Anais is trying to kill them, Darwin tries to look on the bright side.
Darwin: Remember, what doesn't kill us...
    Gumball: Tries again later!
  • Having been raised so well, Gumball doesn't know any other swear word than fiddlesticks, which he hollers out as he falls towards a vat of molten metal.

The Lady

  • The very beginning with the school faculty freaking out after mistaking the candles that Mr. Small brought back from vacation for candy. The Coach thinks her hands are spiders, Mr Corneille proclaims himself Principal Brown's spirit animal and Brown himself sees a shifting goat's head coming towards him.
Principal Brown: (Completely deadpan) Ah, I see, it's not candy it's a candle.
    • When school is canceled for the day as the staff are taken to the hospital, Gumball puts on a goofy grin. Darwin asks him to show some concern, so he pulls his hand down over his face and changes to a comically miserable-looking expression, but Darwin sees that he's still moving his legs in celebration.
  • To maintain his old woman disguise, Richard-as-Samantha partially obscures himself behind a tree, takes his arms out of the disguise, and pretends to make out with himself— while his sons are watching. Due literal bomb-drop.
  • The entire episode is one long, pitch-perfect homage to The Golden Girls, right down to the humor, voice acting, even the hand and facial gestures for Richard-as-Samantha, Maria, Angela, and Violet, which sounds and looks almost identical to Blanche, Sophia, Dorothy, and Rose.
  • The sheer notion that Richard is the Blanche character.
  • The Establishing Character Moment for Angela, Violet, and Maria confirms in only a few seconds they're definitely supposed to be Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia.
Maria: Ah Samantha, finally. We've been waiting so long Angela's clothes are back in fashion.
Richard-As-Samantha: Better late than ugly, Maria. A girl needs to make some effort for her man.
Maria: Samantha darling, the last time you were a girl, men still had gills.
Angela: So when do we get to meet this elusive boyfriend of yours?
Richard-as-Samantha: He's not elusive, Angela. He just doesn't like to answer questions straightforwardly and prefers changing the subject to avoid them.
Violet: Samantha, are you nervous because we might judge your new boyfriend?
Angela: No Violet, she's worried about how mimes place their order at the drive-thru.
  • When Darwin and Gumball become certain that Samantha is Richard's mistress, Gumball points out how bizarre it is that he's apparently cheating on his wife with a woman who is much older than either of them.
Gumball: Dad always said mom was out of his league. But I never thought he'd want to get back down into his own league!
  • Violet tries to tell a story about Minnesota while the women are eating cheesecake.
Angela: Maria, this cheesecake is so good I wanna marry it and have its cupcakes.
Violet: That reminds me of a story from Minnesota.
Angela: Does it involve a woman marrying a cake?
Violet: Oh no, I'm afraid it was at a time when society wasn't as tolerant as it is now. Back then, people were only allowed to marry a potato from a different farm.
Angela: Could we just skip the nonsense part and get to the end, please?
    Violet: Oh, sure. The end.
    (Angela does a Face Palm)
  • Richard-as-Samantha dramatically revealing her boyfriend doesn't exist. Without missing a beat, Maria hands Angela some money, who then reminds her about the rest of the bet, causing Maria to start eating her purse.
  • The scene where Richard unveils himself to the other women feels like a G-rated version of the infamous "CONDOMS, ROSE!" gag in spirit.
(Richard/Samantha takes off his wig, shocking the other women)
    Violet: You're bald?
Richard/Samantha: I'll give you one more clue.
(Richard/Samantha wipes off his make-up, which magically transforms his face back to normal, further shocking the women)
    Violet: You're ugly?
    Richard: Okay, one more clue.
    (Richard strips off the clothes)
    Violet: You're a naturist—
    Angela: HE'S A MAAAAAN, VIOLET!
  • Maria is the only one who's not just dressing up as a woman... but apparently forgot for a moment when Violet and Angela take off their disguises.
  • When Gumball and Darwin confront Richard in the mistaken belief that he's having an affair with Samantha, Darwin keeps smashing plates as Richard keeps digging himself deeper due to Cannot Spit It Out. Eventually, Darwin runs out of plates to smash and has to excuse himself to go back to his room to order more plates online, then go to the front door to receive delivery and then bring the box back to the kitchen to resume smashing in anger... only to find out he'd accidentally ordered paper plates, which needless to say, don't smash very well.

The Sucker

  • Julius got detention for TP-ing a tree so that it spelled "vandalism". Darwin got detention for adding "is bad" to it.
  • When Julius is telling his friends about Darwin's naivety, he gives the example that Darwin is holding the phone up.
  • Darwin being aware of what Julius was doing the whole time, and trolling him just to teach him a lesson.
  • The cheeky expressions that Darwin and Julius give to each other at the end.
  • The entire episode is just one big Epic Fail - From Bad to Worse - Laser-Guided Karma moment for Julius.
    • He gets Darwin to order way too many pizzas with extra bacon to the police station but since they had his card on file, he was charged for all of them. The police are fully aware of this as well, so to make sure it doesn't look like a bribe, they fine Julius and his gang for loitering.
    • He has Darwin cover Mr Small's truck in mud but it actually makes it a lot more artistic looking, something a pleased Mr Small pays Darwin for. Julius and his gang come to blows over who gets the money, leading to the dollar getting torn and the group splitting up.
    • Julius brings Darwin to the public pool and tells Darwin he's going to leave a special surprise...using soap flakes. He first orders Darwin to break down the door, resulting in minor damage and gives Darwin his credit card to jimmy the lock open...and Darwin drops it through the still-locked door's slot. Julius is desperate to get it back and lifts up a metal shutter so Darwin to roll under, only for the fish to think he means roll forwards rather than side wards, just in time for Julius to loose his grip on the shutter. It comes straight down on his foot and Darwin calls the police to help - in the process of accidentally explaining they were attempting vandalism. Julius is aghast since the police have his name and address thanks to Darwin's blabbing and when he explains they can trace the call, Darwin casually smashes his foe to bits. To top it all off, when Julius finally gets his foot free, he tries to kick Darwin in retaliation only to make his injury flare up.
    • And when Darwin tries to get them a ride to escape, he causes Julius' girlfriend to crash and makes her break up with him when he tries kissing Julius to hide their faces.
    • Darwin's claims of how he's fixed Julius' life are just hysterical; he gets him engaged to his girlfriend (or himself to her, considering the presentation), bins the blame for the crimes on his father (who thinks he's being arrested over expired coupons) and gets his mother deported off a plane into the middle of the ocean. And to reunite Julius with his gang, gets them embroiled in a war with an actual gang of bikers. Julius' defeated moans are icing on the cake, until Darwin reveals he's been stringing him along the entire time.

The Vegging

  • The first lines Gumball and Darwin share when they first wake up:
Gumball: Dude, wake up! It's finally here. The most magical day of all.
Darwin: What? The day where the old, hairy guy breaks into houses in the dead of night with a bag for the children?
Gumball: What? No, and for the record, that's the creepiest description of Christmas I've ever heard.
  • The amount of running Gumball has had to do almost every episode has left his legs very well-toned.
  • Gumball's solutions to avoid having to do any work while on the couch: wearing an adult diaper so he doesn't have to get up to go to the bathroom, using four grabbers daisy-chained together so he doesn't have to get up to change the game in their console, and not answering the doorbell.
    • When Gumball pulls his pants away to reveal that he's wearing a diaper; his voice changes drastically into an announcer voice and has an amusing smile.
Gumball: Slackies, for when you gotta go, but you don't wanna leave.
  • Gumball insists that he and Darwin simply tune out everything around them, and every time they do it cuts forward in time. They try to tune out the phone ringing, then an alien meteor falling through the roof, which then evolves into the saga of the meteor releasing mutagenic gas, the house partially destroyed as it's turned into an alien hive and hazmat workers are fighting off mutants, the mayor fighting off the aliens as he claims that the boys' blood may contain the key to saving humanity, the world now a barren wasteland as a massive spaceship crashes into the ground, Gumball and Darwin being thanked by a council of aliens for apparently saving the galaxy, and the house fully rebuilt with Gumball having to marry a larval alien and being interviewed about it. After that, everything is suddenly back to normal, except there's now a Japanese man wearing a Sailor Fuku in the house. They question who he is, but not how he got in, which he lampshades.
    • When Gumball tells the Japanese man that he can leave, it's revealed that the man can teleport.
  • Gumball orders a burrito but makes Larry push it in through the mail slot. The burrito splatters on the ground, so Gumball makes Larry shovel it and send a bit of it flying into their mouths, then he throws Larry a tip on the shovel, which gets pushed to the ground by the mail slot flap when Larry pulls the shovel out, so Gumball tells him to keep the shovel as his tip.
  • Even when their family is in mortal danger, Gumball and Darwin are reluctant to do any serious physical activity. They try to get to them without leaving their office chairs and end up getting nowhere, then try to call Nicole to pick them up when the reason she, Richard, and Anais are in danger in the first place is that the car is falling over the unfinished bridge.
  • When the car is about to fall, Darwin tells Gumball that they'll have to get up from their seats, but Gumball refuses to do so on his day off. In slow-motion, he boosts his office chair and rests his feet on the car's bumper, righting it. When the family asks him and Darwin to come over for a hug out of gratitude, they're too lazy to do that either, much to their annoyance.

The One

  • Any time Tobias roasts Gumball, the camera zooms in on Gumball's realistically-drawn shocked face while a high-pitched music sting plays.
  • Darwin as Gumball's therapist, where he wants to strip back the layers of Gumball's personality; Gumball's skin peels away revealing his Humor, a yellow-bodied Sad Clown in a rubber nose who uses jokes to mask his anxiety. He then turns into Gumball's Fear, a large, cowardly blue figure, and his Optimism, a small, purple figure whom his Fear reflexively smashes into a paste. It then turns out that his Fear is afraid of his Ego, a massive, black blob who bursts through the roof of the house and yells that he's awesome. Darwin later adds that he didn't need to see the Ego kissing himself.
  • When Tobias makes himself at home with Gumball and Darwin and acts like a massive freeloader, Gumball responds by throwing him out the front door. When he comes back and tries to leech money off him, Gumball throws him harder and he rolls into a bus, onto an airplane (still rolling in his seat), and up a mountain, until he rolls back into the house.
  • Tobias' Self-Serving Memory of Gumball and Darwin repairing the roof at the end of "The Phone" edits Darwin to give him goofy teeth, which Darwin lampshades.
  • Tobias tries to club Carrie with a stick, but it just phases through her and breaks on the ground.
Carrie: I'm a ghost, you joke of a jock! All you've done there is turn a stick into two sticks.
Tobias: Wrong! I turned it into the ghost of a stick!
(Tobias wraps his hand around thin air, swings, and knocks Carrie out.)
  • After defeating all of Gumball's other friends, a hyped-up Tobias comes to the door of the Watterson house to beat Darwin with his metal soundtrack blaring — and Gumball simply slams the door in his face, abruptly stopping the music.
  • It turns out Tobias imagined most of his assassination montage. Instead of phasing through Gumball's front door, he forced himself to squeeze through the mail slot.

The Father

  • In the middle of a song laying out all of Frankie's worst traits, Granny Jojo also targets his fashion sense - describing his clothes as being straight out of 80s cop shows.
  • After Frankie leaves following the Vermin Man ceremony, the mood is broken by Louie coming out of the house and saying that Frankie stole his wallet.
  • When Richard gets depressed because the music on the radio reminds him of Frankie, Anais tries to change the station, but they're all different metal genres until she gets to a pop song that causes Richard to move his arms to the beat without changing his expression.
  • Whilst in the car with a downcast Richard.
Darwin: How about a joke? "Knock-knock."
    Richard: (Suddenly hopeful) Dad?!
Darwin: What? No. (Cue Richard immediately bursting into hysterics)
    • The "creative" lyrics of the rock song.
I'm gonna rock you till you feel the rock 'n' roll! Rock around the rock that is made out of rock! Gonna rock you back and forth like a rocking horse! Gonna quench your thirst with some rock on the rocks!
  • The kids suggest that they and Richard go to Joyful Burger to cheer him up. Larry finishes his sentences as he gives him more food, up until the end subverts it:
Richard: (eating fries) I mean, I don't have any real—
    Larry: Beef.
Richard: With my dad. Sure, he's made mis—
    Larry: Steaks.
Richard: But now, there's too much time to—
    Larry: Ketchup.
Richard: And all this has left me in a—
    Larry: Bit of a pickle.
Richard: While he's gone on to make a—
    Larry: Hash brown.
Richard: —of his life. It's so hard when a parent—
    Larry: Desserts.
    Richard: —you. And now I—
    Larry: Donut.
Richard: —know what to do. Every night—
    Larry: Ice cream.
Richard: —inside. I just feel so—
    Larry: Waffle.
Richard: I ought to tell him how I feel, but I guess I'm too much of a—
Pear woman: (walking by with a chicken breast on a plate) BONELESS CHICKEN!
Richard: And comfort eating is not going to make me any happier.
(Cut to Richard playing in the ball pit as the employees give him food one by one)
    • Following that:
Darwin: This doesn't look good to me.
Anais: I don't think anyone would enjoy the sight of a grown man smearing burger meat into his face in a kids' ball pit.
Gumball: Yep. Even in Japan, that's pretty niche.
Anais: Isn't all this eating dangerous?
Gumball: Nah, this is Richard Watterson. He can take it.
(Cut to an ambulance coming by)
Anais: Yeah, I was more worried about the staff.
Larry: (traumatized as the paramedics carry him out) It was like shoveling French fries down an elevator shaft.
  • The kids' attempts at getting Richard to cheer up with cloud-spotting make him bring everything he sees back to his father. The last one is especially roundabout even though it already resembles a rat.
Richard: Looks like a popsicle. Popsicle's are cold, like the artic ocean and that's cold because there its got lots of icebergs in it, that's why it's dangerous for ships, because icebergs sink ships and what's the first thing to leave sinking ship? A rat. (His kids groan in exasperation) And rats have fleas, just like my father fleeing from me.
  • In a Cutaway Gag to Richard's childhood, Frankie sells a ball and some plastic cups to Richard for $700. Assuming this flashback is actually serious, one wonders where young Richard got $700.
  • Richard and Frankie "bonding":
    • When Richard suggests they start off with a piggyback ride, Frankie misinterprets this as for himself and jumps on Richard's back.
    • Playing football, until it turns out the ball was stolen from the Fitzgeralds.
    • Frankie giving Richard a stolen watch, causing him to get tackled by the police.
    • Frankie teaching Richard how to shave while they're trespassing in someone else's mansion. When they try to leave, Frankie gets chased by the Angry Guard Dogs.
    • Frankie teaching Richard to drive, only to reveal that they're in the getaway car for a bank robbery and they leave their accomplices behind.
    • Fishing for handbags on the freeway.
  • At the end, Frankie is proud that Richard stole his wallet... but then throws it away because it's not even his.

The Cringe

  • Gumball and Hot Dog Guy trying to out-relax each other.
  • The montage of Gumball and Hot Dog Guy holding it in because they don't want to use the school restroom at the same time as the other. At one point, Hot Dog Guy attempts to enter a stall through the top, only for him to fall on Gumball and Gumball's head gets in the bottom of Hot Dog Guy's bun.
  • When Gumball thinks Hot Dog Guy teleported from the bathroom stall to the hallway offscreen, it turns out the stall was just occupied by Darwin wearing new red shoes.
  • Gumball demands that Hot Dog Guy take off his underwear when he insists on wearing them in the shower room and Banana Joe, who was standing right next to them, serenely takes off his peel in response. Hot Dog Guy says that he can't think of a way that moment could be any more cringe-worthy, but Joe says that it could've been worse if they had a moon landingnote , which he demonstrates by singing Also sprach Zarathustra and hitting two peaches together.
  • When Gumball and Hot Dog Guy watch their hilariously bad attempt at being a duet on Elmore's Got Talent, they cringe so hard that they end up in the hospital. The doctor tells them that they've experienced a cringe level of 100,000 DJ, which is the equivalent of hearing 100,000 dad jokes all at once, and that they should stop what they're doing before they end up with the clenching muscles of a 40-year-old clam.
  • Hot Dog Guy suggests that he and Gumball take it to the next level. Gumball interprets this as becoming Hot Dog Guy's stepfather and tries to give him The Talk, at which point Hot Dog Guy starts foaming at the mouth in awkward fury.
  • 4-year-old Gumball's giant mullet in his preschool photo with Hot Dog Guy.

The Cage

  • The episode opens with Gumball and Darwin after Darwin apparently gave himself a black eye and a chipped tooth trying to lick his elbow. When Gumball asks how can he chip his tooth like that, he walks into a locker door and a piece of his tooth breaks off in it.
  • When Nurse Joan asks Corneille how his got his injured face, he remarks she should "See the other guys". Due Gumball and Darwin walking in with the exact same wounds and Corneille has to hastily explain to the horrified nurse that they're not those other guys.
  • As another example of how poorly the school is doing, Elmore Junior High now has to house prison inmates, and their fire extinguishers have been replaced with cans of Dippy String. Principal Brown says that if a fire breaks out, things will get very dippy... and also pretty tragic.
  • Mr. Corneille's opponent, Joao "The Grave" Diga, who is Testosterone Poisoning incarnate. His head and feet are both fists and his hands on his arms have fingers that also end in fists.
  • Darwin trying to come up with a cool wrestling name for Mr. Corneille, going from frog-related names (the Frog Prince and the Croaker) to outright random names such as "Christmas Person".
Gumball: Are you having a brain cramp?
  • Gumball shows Mr. Corneille a video of Joao sinking a battleship with a single punch, which was just a friendly match against the U.S. Navy. The following week, he was scheduled to fight Belgium; not someone from Belgium, the entire country. They forfeited when they saw him sink the ship.
  • Instead of a Training Montage, Mr. Corneille just sits at his desk reading a book while a song plays on the radio about how futile training is. The singer soon loses the will to even keep rhyming and eventually bores himself to sleep.
  • The Overly Long Gag of Joao's manager doing coffee Spit Takes on Gumball's face over the phone.
  • Despite his belief that he can stand a chance against Joao, Mr. Corneille just gets pounded flat by him. Gumball tries to put a positive spin on it by pointing out that due to his deal with Joao's manager, they still get the money needed to keep the school afloat.

The Faith

  • Due to the lack of color, Nicole ends up buying cat litter instead of cereal based on the image on the box and assumed that the box saying "non-clumping" meant that it was rich in fiber.
  • Rocky goes on a date, but his date texts him that she'll be wearing gray. Unfortunately, all of the women are gray from the color loss, and it promptly cuts to them beating him with their purses.
  • Alan says that despite all of his efforts to befriend him, Gumball still won't look him in the eye. This turns out to be Not Hyperbole, as Gumball has twisted the top of his head to look away from Alan.

The Candidate

  • While fighting, Banana Joe accidentally switches his peel with Hot Dog Guy's bun. Joe makes his peel close around HDG to suffocate him, while HDG's arms attached to his bun begin punching Joe in the face.
  • Gumball's "slogan" for his candidacy as leader of the kids is just him making a bunch of funny faces.
  • Gumball's head catches fire, but he denies it until the sprinkler goes off and puts him out. Darwin tries to drink the water off the floor, but the intense heat makes it evaporate before he can, followed by his tears evaporating as well.
  • When the kids try to escape the school, a massive hole blocks their way. Tobias tries to solve the problem by literally throwing money at it, and it works; he completely fills the hole with money, letting the kids pass.

The Anybody

  • The episode begins with Gumball sleeping in bed turning off several alarms around the house, eventually ending up in the Robinsons' bedroom, where he wakes up and explains to a confused Mr. and Mrs. Robinson that he's doing it so he won't be late for school while walking around the room getting ready, eventually climbing out of the window before the dresser he unknowingly toppled falls onto the couple.
  • When Gumball misses the bus, he asks Leonard if he can borrow his scooter... so he can use it to hit the side of the bus to get Rocky's attention. Unfortunately, his banging matches up with Rocky's music.
  • Darwin drinks out of a water fountain that turns out to be Clayton. Later, it dawns on him that he was very likely drinking Clayton's urine.
  • As Clayton is falling from the sky transformed into Mrs. Jotunheim, Gumball and Darwin tell him to turn into a bird, problem is he kept mishearing what they said. So he first turns into Colinnote , then turns into a beaglenote , then into a penguin note , then he hits the road and turns into a crosswalk.
  • Clayton asks for a child movie ticket while transformed into Harold. The blue lady is incredulous until Clayton turns into Kayvon (Banana Joe's cousin from "The Name"), then he turns into Donald (the plaid senior citizen) and asks if senior tickets are cheaper. The blue lady is so disgusted that she lets him in for free.
  • During the climax, Gumball, Darwin, and Clayton fall into the sewers and slide down the pipes. Darwin and Clayton manage to save themselves while Gumball falls into a tank with an alligator, and starts screaming for help. Clayton waits until the last second to step in, mistakenly under the belief Gumball can handle it himself, and by the time he rescues Gumball, the boy has already been thoroughly traumatized.

The Pact

  • Teri willingly splits herself in half to avoid sharing a bus seat with Principal Brown.
  • Miss Simian's halitosis affecting the people around her in various ways, such as the water in the pool becoming green and toxic as Tobias dives in, Banana Joe, Bobert, and Leslie being disintegrated, and Gumball accidentally inhaling it and having all of his flesh stripped off before declaring that he can still smell it. When Gumball tells her about it, the following scene has him mention that she did something unspeakable to him with a pencil.
  • For a test, Gumball wrote "dental hygiene" as the answers to what led to the British's defeat at Saratoga, what Abraham Lincoln was most famous for, and which medical profession did Connecticut became the first to license. Miss Simian congratulates him for getting the last one correct and says that it's the best he's ever scored.
  • Gumball waits for several days in the backseat of Principal Brown's car while it's being fixed just to creep him out when he gets in. As a result of being in there for so long, he's become emaciated and ghoul-like, and when he asks for Brown to help him get out of the car, the latter blows him away like a piece of paper.
  • Principal Brown tells the detention gang that they'll be exempt from their punishment if they bring him Gumball's head. He clarifies that his head must still be attached, so they throw away their axes made of school supplies and pull out baseball bats, then he clarifies again that Gumball needs to be alive, so they throw their bats away and prepare to just grab him. Gumball pushes an exasperated Darwin out into the hall and he doesn't move when the bullies mistakenly tackle him.
  • Gumball avoids the steam explosions Mr Brown triggers around him with enough style to slide on his knees from the resulting cloud, arms outstretched and an action-hero like look on his face...only to slide down a flight of stairs.

The Neighbor

  • When it looks like Gumball and Darwin are disguised as a mailbox and a fire hydrant, the camera pans to reveal that they're actually just nearby wearing arctic camo gear because Darwin thought it might snow, while Gumball points out that it's June.
  • The ways Gumball and Darwin try to skirt around not knowing Gary's name. This includes them being unable to warn him that he's about to get hit by a bullet train, then them jumping out the classroom window right before Principal Brown can reveal his name. Darwin adds that he's still pulling bits of the window frame out of his gills.
  • Richard doesn't know Gary's name either, so he's avoided talking to him by never leaving the house and having everything delivered to him. As a result, he's grown pale, his face is sagging, he's covered in spots and white hairs, his fingernails have grown out, and he's surrounded by several jars. When Darwin points out that Gary is the mailman, Richard says that he didn't think that through, then Gumball informs him that he doesn't need the jars because he doesn't have to leave the house to use the bathroom, and he says that he didn't think that through, either.
  • As it turns out, Gary Hedges is just the name that Witness Protection gave him; his real name is Harry Gedges. When Gumball comments on how ridiculous it is, he points out that it wasn't his decision.

The Shippening

  • The items that the police find in the Awesome Store include:
    • An umbrella that creates rain and disintegrates a blue coffee cup officer with a bolt of lightning.
    • A Chucky-esque haunted doll that sings when its string is pulled and possesses Frank, a french fry officer.
    • A genie in a lamp who grants the soda can officer's wish that he was in bed by conjuring a bed around him, causing him to fall on his face.
    • A normal pair of glasses that causes the Jolly Hamburger to notice his love handles and that his wife looks like a live-action moose.
  • The Awesome Store owner tells Donut Cop that he has the "paperwork" proving that his merchandise is legal and shows him a briefcase full of money. Donut Cop was expecting actual paperwork and throws the money away like it's nothing. When Donut Cop tries to arrest him, the latter simply drives off through the wall of the parking garage and flees to Canada.
  • Larry proposes to Karen but is suddenly pulled down the mall escalator to Mr. Small, who pulls off his clothes revealing a wedding dress underneath and agrees to marry him.
  • Tobias is shown being in love with his reflection, but Gumball says that it's in character for him.
  • Gumball and Darwin meet two poorly-drawn Parody Sue Original Characters, one being Gumball's cousin and the other being his girlfriend, a gender-bent purple Darwin with the bizarre Character Catchphrase of "This bird is out of control!". The disturbed and afraid Gumball and Darwin quickly get away from them, and Darwin asks Gumball how often will she get to use something as situational as that.
    • She does use it later, while in an out-of-control swan boat.
  • Darwin getting pissed at the sight of an adult Gumball who had a child with Carrie:
Darwin: (screams) What the—dude! This is so messed up!
Gumball: I know, right? I mean, future me, wearing sandals?
Darwin: I mean you're gonna steal Carrie from me! It's supposed to be Carwin, not Carball, you homewrecking woman-eater!
Gumball: (horrified by the sight of something offscreen) And it looks like I didn't stop at women.
(pans to a Cat Girl Gumball getting married to a humanized Darwin, the real Darwin screams and cries)
Gumball: I agree; I always thought I was the one wearing the pants in this relationship.
    • When Sarah tries to get rid of the human Darwin, she crumples the page he came from, causing him to crumple as well, then she uncrumples it, rips it in half, tears it up, burns it, and pours water on it, much to his bride's horror. Despite all of this, he says that he's still alive and in quite a lot of pain.
  • When Gumball and Darwin break into Sarah's room, Gumball asks her "What did you do this time?!" in a demonically deep voice.
  • The various Crack Pairings that come to life such as Richard and Felicity, Penny and Banana Joe, Leonard and the lawyer from "The Cycle", and Ocho and Idaho.
  • Gumball writes Jamie, Tina, and Bobert having a picnic together and writes Tina saying "Let's eat Bobert." Since Gumball neglected to put a comma between "eat" and "Bobert", it cuts to Jamie and Tina having taken Bobert apart and eating him.
    • All of the Literal-Minded effects of Gumball's rewrites.
Gumball: It was a hard blow for Mr. Small (Mr. Small is knocked out by an unseen punch) and Larry was destroyed! (Larry literally explodes)
  • "We need space". "I agree". Cue Hot Dog Guy and Clare getting launched into orbit.

The Brain

  • When the Band-Aid doctor shows the Wattersons that Anais' brain is in danger of shrinking from Face Palming so much, he points to a chart where Nicole's brain is at the top, then right below it is Gumball's, then Darwin's, then an amoeba's, then several levels below that is Richard's near-microscopic brain at the very bottom of the wall.
    • When the doctor says that Anais cannot be exposed to any form of stupidity for a whole week, Gumball apparently thinks that a week has 9 days.
  • The Wattersons' coat of arms depicts a guy sawing off a tree branch that he's sitting on and its motto is "Insert family motto here" in Latin.
  • While leaving the hospital, Richard thinks the barrier gate is a restaurant drive-thru. When the milk carton gate operator tells him that they don't have any food, he asks for the operator's box of mints, which the operator throws in Richard's face, but Richard also asks for his box of napkins, which the operator only throws in his face after throwing several other objects beforehand. Nicole then decides to put a pair of noise-canceling headphones over Richard's mouth.
    • Principal Brown and Miss Simian then pull up and Brown also thinks the booth is a drive-thru, causing the operator to explode out of rage.
  • The montage of the Wattersons being stupid while Anais isn't there to see them:
    • Richard getting hair tattooed on his head.
    • Gumball eating an ear of corn on an electric drill, causing his head to wrap around it.
    • Richard driving with the ripped-off nozzle from a gas pump sticking out of his tank, the gas from which ignites and destroys the car.
    • Gumball trying to skateboard up a wooden ramp nailed to the front of Darwin's bike. When he flies into the air and Darwin looks around for him, Gumball lands on him before his skateboard hits him in the head.
    • Richard at the gym riding a mobility scooter on a treadmill.
    • Darwin chaining his bike to a bollard instead of something more secure, proving ineffective at preventing Sal from stealing it.
    • Richard at the grocery store shaking his bag and getting the food everywhere when the electronic register glitches out. He also put his car in the cart return, puts an electric coffee mug on the stove, causing it to melt, and tries to make a grilled cheese sandwich in the toaster, which flies out and hits him in the face.
    • Hank having to cut Gumball out when he gets stuck in a kiddie slide.
  • When Anais is on the highway, Gumball tries to stop the cars by writing "10!" so they think the speed limit is 10 mph. But he holds it upside down, making the drivers think it's 101 mph.
  • Nicole being annoyed by a teenager at the grocery store. She keeps asking for higher-ups, which are a kid and then a baby. She seems glad that an adult's there to help, but the higher up is her fetus... and the higher up after that are talking sperm in a fat man’s balls.
  • As it turns out, most of the episode was All Just a Dream because immediately after Gumball expressed his belief that a week was 9 days, Anais facepalmed herself unconscious for 36 hours.
  • The doctor concludes that Anais' diagnosis is her family. A dismayed Anais glances at her family, who with super-derpy faces, all give double thumbs up. One of Richard's ends up travelling into his eye, to which he has no reaction.

The Parents

The Founder

  • The song in the episode is pretty funny.
  • Phil dancing in the elevator.
  • The Goblin CEO making the floppy disk fall to the floor and Richard asking if he'll be okay.
  • Earl thinking Richard's stomach was the car stereo.
  • Tony thinking Martin calling Nicole a dinosaur was a real dinosaur. It makes sense considering Tina and Mr. Rex.
  • "Ha-ha, we're rich!"
  • The Lethally Stupid practises Richard has go on in the building, such as active kiln ovens, working from hammocks and construction workers demolishing all the support pillars

The Schooling

  • Gumball doesn't think there's a point to college because he sees it as somewhere that you find yourself, but yourself is someone with $100,000 of debt and a didgeridoo.
  • When Harold takes the definition of a "bottomless" soda literally, Gumball breaks a hole in the bottom with a plastic fork.
  • Gumball and Darwin have to entertain a clearly mad woman looking for her son, Timmy, who she last saw in another state practically a decade ago, needing to sing a very creepy song which is possibly about cannibalism. Naturally, it doesn't seem to work...only for an ear-splitting "MAMA!" to sound, having come from Timmy himself an odd looking Manchild. Gumball and Darwin's WTF face as it happens just cinches how illogical this all is.
  • When Gumball and Darwin are working at the bank, one of the prison thugs, the dolphin man, looks like he's come to rob them and the manager, the calculator teller, says that as a bank, they're the ones robbing him. Gumball makes him hand over his wallet, watch, and pants.
    • The reason they take his pants? He says that he's at least leaving with his dignity, and Gumball decides he can't even have that.
  • The melodramatic sequence of Gumball and Darwin working at the mall on Black Friday.

The Intelligence

  • The way Principal Brown, Harold, and Fenton act throughout the whole thing.
  • The Internet lashes out after being hanged up by Gumball, but his swears are replaced by hiccups. Why? He has the safe search filter on.
  • "Oh heck nooooooooooo"
  • Harold elbow dropping Betty.
  • Mr. Robinson accusing his wife of being a witch.
  • Donald saying "always" instead of forever and then saying that the windows are locked after Marvin already said that.

The Potion

  • The recipe for the shrinking potion calls for a fragment of a broken dream, so Gumball and Darwin use Richard's gym membership card.
    • Another ingredient is wolf milk; they only needed to milk one, but Darwin milked several others because they looked left out.
    • When the recipe calls for a head of rosemary flower, Darwin was evidently unsure if Gumball meant that or the head of a dead person named Rosemary Flowers.
  • After finishing the potion, Gumball tries to test it on a bee, but it flies away and in his attempt to swat it away, Gumball drops the eyedropper of potion. It lands on Larry's car, shrinking it around him and he ends up walking around on his hands and feet looking like a bug.
  • When Hector drinks the potion, there's a dramatic sequence where the sky becomes overcast before Hector abruptly shrinks down with a Jump Cut and a farting sound.
  • The ending where Gumball and Darwin now have butts for hands.

The Spinoffs

  • Bobert and Felicity host a cooking show where they prepare a meal of liquefied meat and vegetables, in a way only Bobert is capable of; he slices the ingredients into cubes with a laser grid, gathers them and puts them in a bowl with quantum technology, then melts it together by irradiating it with his core. The resulting radiation makes Felicity grow a hand on her finger before Bobert attaches a tube to her mouth and feeds the liquid to her.
  • Troy and Carlton's segment is a Merchandise-Driven toku series that gets repeatedly interrupted mid-show by its own commercials and has Troy repeatedly summoning new machines to fight the monster, much to Carlton's confusion.
  • When Rob tires of all the spinoffs, he tells the Internet to suggest a more interesting character than Gumball. The Internet describes Scooby-Doo and Rob tells the viewers to watch that instead, but since it's on a different channel, the Internet turns the screen off and the episode ends.

The Transformation

  • Penny's rant toward Patrick:
Penny: Oh, please, I'll tell you a story. Once upon a time, there was a bird who was so backwards, that when his computer had a virus, he poured chicken soup into the DVD tray. He was so backwards that he still watched movies on VHS, in rewind! He was so backwards that when his tablet asked if he wanted to update, he chiseled the word "no" into it!
  • When Gumball says that Penny's argument with her family is getting icy, a pan to the latter reveals that their side of the house is frozen over (and Polly is still smiling) and Gumball scrapes the ice off his eyes.
  • The Fitzgeralds threatening Gumball:
  • Gumball says that he's made a decision, which he will demonstrate with a story, but it's pretty obvious he's stalling. Regardless, the story has some pretty great moments.
    • To demonstrate how the king in his story is scared of everything, a worm crawls up to him and asks where it can get its parking validated. The king has a Freak Out in response to this simple question and flees into his castle. When the worm says that it's cool because it just realized cars don't exist yet, the entire castle has a Freak Out, flipping around with puffs of smoke erupting from it.
    • One of the armored residents of the castle is in a lawn chair and melts out of their armor into a puddle. Another is on a diving board, which breaks under the weight of the armor.
    • Gumball describes the princess as beautiful, but what we see doesn't look that great. He keeps trying to make her look beautiful, but when he gives up after being told to get on with the story, her head is a protean mass of yellow.
    • The "handsome" prince who was called in to decide whether everyone should wear their armor or take it off decides to give his answer in the form of a story.
    • In the prince's story, a butterfly tells the rest of her family to come out of their cocoons, to which we are told that you could see the anger on their faces. Cut to a closer shot of the motionless, faceless cocoons.
    • A "handsome" ladybug (with the same human face as the prince) is called in to decide whether or not everyone should leave their cocoons decides he has a solution. So he, in a text-to-speech voice, begins narrating a story about seeds. The Fitzgeralds audibly groan.
    • In the ladybug's story, the seeds talk about how much they love not having light, sound, or air.
    • The "handsome" gardener (we only see his feet, but each toe has the same human face on them) who was called in to decide whether or not the seeds should grow into flowers decides to give his answer in the form of a story. At this point, Patrick loses his patience.

The Understanding

  • One of the files from the cabinet that the Pepperonis steal is the Robinsons' marriage certificate. Mr. Robinson tries to burn it, but the match gets blown out by a passing car. He tries again with another match but it also gets blown out, so Mrs. Robinson pulls out a lighter.
  • Quattro and Siciliana said "What on the flat Earth is the Internet?" even though a few episodes before, "The Intelligence", they knew what the Internet is.

The Ad

  • The very beginning, where Richard comes to pick up the kids from school riding a horse that he named "Wunderklopp", and evidently Nicole knew he would buy a horse at some point in their marriage.
  • After Bernie and Ethel faint and won't wake up, the Wattersons try to make it look like they had a good time by staging them going to several hotspots around Elmore. At one point, they take them to Joyful Burger where the dolphin man is angry at Bernie for selling him a used car that turned out to be a lemon and tries punching him, but when Bernie's head falls, the man punches himself in the face instead.
    • They catch on to the Wattersons' ruse when one of the faked photos makes it look like they were kissing—as it turns out, Bernie and Ethel are actually brother and sister rather than an old married couple.
  • With no food or money, the episode ends with the Wattersons looking they're about to eat Wunderklopp like was suggested earlier in the episode...until they just decide to eat the grass in the backyard.

The Ghouls

  • Mr. Small's costume being Sailor Moon.
  • After Carrie shows a failed scare in someone's house, Darwin points out it's weird that they're spying on random people. The camera then moves up to a higher branch where Leonard is sitting with binoculars.
Leonard: It's only weird if you make it weird!
Gumball: See? There are some scary things out on Halloween night.
  • A shadowy figure with a Menacing Stroll has been stalking a terrified Rocky, who runs into the public gym to hide. The figure still gets inside...only to walk straight onto a treadmill Rocky set up.
Rocky: I knew it was a good idea to keep this gym membership. (pats figure's back) Feel the burn, buddy.

The Stink

  • In the opening, Gumball is dressed as a wizard trying to neutralize a magic crystal to save the planet, until it turns out that he's just recycling a plastic bottle and is too lazy to peel the label off.
  • The reason Gumball was having difficulty throwing the bottle away was that the grocery store has an unnecessarily large amount of recycling bins that say they're for paper, plastic, cards, greeting cards, cardboard, board games, storyboards, metal, heavy metal, thrash metal, rock, soft rock, soft toys, and bees. Each one also has its own uniquely-shaped hole, some of which would be difficult to put anything through.
  • When Gumball says that recycling is weird because you're using something that's been used before, Mr. Small claims that you can recycle old stuff and no one can tell the difference, while he's replaced with a stuttery loop of himself blatantly lifted directly from "The Sock" all the way back in season 1, same background and all.
  • After being attacked by squirrels and having his blood sucked out by a leech, Mr. Small meditates and is surrounded by some seemingly harmless butterflies... who lift him up into the mouth of a giant leech.
  • Gumball claims that him driving Mr. Small to run away doesn't phase him because Mr. Small already seemed like the kind of guy who would throw his life away and move into the woods. It then cuts to the inside of Gumball's brain, which is inhabited by five Gumballs in Star Trek crew uniforms who are processing how Gumball really feels. When it cuts back to Gumball, he admits that he feels guilty.
  • When Gumball and Darwin roll down a hill in a log, they reach the bottom and find that they've switched limbs, so they roll forward into a rock to go back to normal.

The Awareness

  • According to Gumball and Darwin, their school has had a theme for the past few weeks; they had a cake week followed by a cleaning up cake crumbs week, and the crumbs attracted ants, so the staff brought in anteaters to get rid of them and had to figure out how to get rid of the anteaters as well.
    • They also previously had a technology week; Gumball and Darwin dressed as robots and accidentally offended Bobert when they suggested that he was friends with the vacuum cleaner. When Darwin reminds him that it's technology week, Gumball tries to walk up the stairs and falls down like a stereotypical robot, which Bobert says isn't helping.
    • For history week, Darwin dressed as a pilgrim while Gumball wore his panda costume from endangered species week, which according to him is part of history. When Darwin asks him if he just forgot, Gumball unashamedly admits that he did.
    • Darwin is worried that they don't know what that week's theme is, so at Gumball's suggestion, they combine their costumes from the previous weeks with costumes from previous episodes.
  • When the kids have to walk to school because Rocky can't operate the bus, Gumball compliments Tobias on his green rainbow costume for green week, but it's not a costume and Tobias just has food poisoning, causing him to bend over and throw up.
  • When Gumball makes an extremely poor attempt to save face when he talks about plants being useless around Leslie, Darwin takes his legs and literally puts both of his feet in his mouth.
  • When he tries to photosynthesize with Leslie, Gumball dries up in the sun and bursts out of his shriveled husk like a cicada, traumatizing Banana Joe who is then shown with the same expression on the bus ride home, in the shower, and at dinner, all while still holding his ice cream cone (it washes away in the shower).
Banana Barbara: Did you have a nice day at school?
Banana Joe: No. No, I did not.

The Slip

  • Richard's package is the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle that he has been ordering piece by piece. Cut to what he has so far - three pieces of a four piece puzzle of what is clearly an apple. In a later Imagine Spot, he tries to imagine what the last piece looks like, and he comes up with a pizza, a foot, and a chimney.
  • The increasingly ridiculous locations the delivery person leads Richard to find the package. From the mall, to the hospital, to the kitten orphanage, to the tail of a plane taking off.
  • The Overly Long Gag of the delivery man laughing evilly after seemingly defeating Richard. It lasts all day and through the night, all the way to the next day and his first delivery... to Richard, who got around going to the depot to pick up the package by simply reordering the item.

The Drama

  • When following us through Darwin and Carrie's dates, the two give us this Black Comedy gem.
Carrie: Don't you know this park was built on an ancient burial ground?
Darwin: (cheerfully) Yeah, but if you think about it, the whole country's built on an ancient burial ground.
  • When Gumball is racing to interrupt Carrie and Azrael's meeting, he spots the dolphin man on a motorcycle. The very next shot has him riding the hapless biker like a two-legged horse.

The Buddy

The Possession

The Master

  • From beginning to end, half the story having the family fighting each other except Richard was hilarious, because half of the argument leads them to an even bigger problem. But on the other hand, it did save them from getting out of the owlbear after being eaten.
  • The family's constant fighting with each other immediately leads them to fall through the depths of the nether floor. To point, Richard says:
"In the name of Gygax's beard, stop fighting, otherwise we'll be here all night! Ugh."
  • When Gumball tries to bail on game night, he trips on a 20-sided dice and Richard tells him that he rolled a 2 in stealth.
  • When Darwin's character sees his face become progressively more disfigured as he washes it in a lake, it turns out that it's because of Anais vandalizing his character sheet portrait. Cue Anais' character being hit by a tidal wave.
  • Gumball describes Richard's tarrasque as looking like a police sketch of the imaginary friend of a crayon-eating kid.
  • Richard trying to convince his family that something isn't a trap, only for them to not fall for it, which makes Richard give up. This leads to the conversation below:
Witch!Richard: Come closer, my valorous warriors!
    Gumball: It's a trap.
Richard: [witch voice] It's not a trap!
    Anais: It's totally a trap.
Richard: [witch voice] No it ain't.
Mario Kebab!Gumball: This is more trap than an autotuned rapper. (Lights a torch, and the rest of the creature comes into view: it's not the witch, but a giant turtle-like monster with the witch's face.)
Richard: Yeah, okay, it's a trap.
  • Darwin's attack on the monster is to play a seductive tune on his flute and break up with her by text message, leaving the monster with a hilarious crying face with sad music playing in the background.
  • After successfully bringing his family together, Richard raises his cloak and runs off, only to run into a bookshelf and knock himself out.

The Silence

  • Gumball mocking the people who named spoons, and the ones who agreed with it, making strange, deformed faces.
  • Darwin whispers the word "alternative medicine" in order to get Mr. Small to help him and Gumball, and he comes flying.
  • When they get acupuncture from Mr. Small, Gumball and Darwin's tongues swell up. To get them fixed, they go to an unlicensed Back-Alley Doctor who drains the excess fluid from their tongues with a bicycle pump.

The Future

  • Banana Joe hangs up flyers for his missing mother. He tries hammering one into a glass window, shattering it.
  • Apparently, Banana Joe recalls rediscovering his mother in a Japanese karaoke video. She was going down a waterfall in said video.

The Wish

  • While trying to get the neck pillow at the sewer (they believe that Ms. Simian turned into one), they've encountered a mentally disturbed sewer rat, who wanted to race. Then he decided to run over into a pillar.
    • The exchange thereafter;
Darwin: Is [the sewer rat] going to be ok?
Gumball: I don't think that guy was ever ok.

The Factory

The Agent

  • Gumball messing up the James Bond-style credits sequence with his inability to swim.
  • Gumball says that half of the school is unfit for swim club, such as Teri because she regularly loses pieces of herself in the filter. As he says this, she loses her lower legs and a finger.
  • When Banana Bob's mustache is stolen, Banana Barbara paints an eye on his top lip.
  • When William declares that he's about to blame Gumball and Darwin for stealing the items he stole, Gumball points out that his ad-hoc body is made out of them, so William says he'll just leave a note.
  • As Gumball and Bobert rocket out of the sewer, they send a manhole cover flying that cuts off the top of Mrs. Robinson's hair. She assumes Mr. Robinson did it because he was behind her with hedge clippers.
  • Principal Brown calling Darwin and Bobert "Other Watterson" and "Robot Child".

The Web

  • Gumball mocking Nicole's magazine:
Gumball: "Responsible Parenting" magazine? That's the magazine equivalent of having a "Live, Laugh, Love" sign over a medieval torture chamber.
Nicole: Well, there's lots of good advice in there. Such as 95 ways to protect a turkey and how to baste your children! Uh-no, wait. Uh...
Gumball: And what's the scare hoax of the month? [Darwin giggles as he talks] Someone found a bazooka in their kid's Halloween candy? Rap music made my nephew eat his own face? Video games played backwards will summon the prince of darkness?
  • Nicole conflating computer safety with the real world: she puts USB sticks in Gumball and Darwin's mouths to "update their antivirus" thinking that they function like vaccines, sprays the keyboard with bug spray because she thinks computer bugs are actual bugs, tries to put on the parental lock, which to her means trying to get Gumball to wear a bizarre iron mask that's too small for his head and chaining it to the monitor when Gumball says it's for the computer, and sets up a literal firewall outside.
  • When the boys look at Nicole's computer, they see that it's full of pop-up ads. Darwin points out that one ad of a dog who's covered in cobwebs and reading a book is 20 years old. He closes it out and the dog thanks him as the window turns to dust and blows away.
  • After giving her a three-button keyboard, Gumball says that Nicole is the reason her IT guy went crazy and bailed. Pan to his office, which is now a Room Full of Crazy as he runs towards and jumps out the window.
    • We also see that her co-workers are even more technologically inept: one uses his CD drive to hold his coffee, one puts correction fluid on her monitor, and one tries to print a report by putting his monitor on the scanner, which causes the monitor's screen to break.
  • Nicole responds to Jackie's status update about it being the anniversary of her grandfather being lost at sea with a picture of a kitten with a "ROFL" speech bubble.
  • The episode ends with Gumball and Darwin deciding that the workers are beyond hope and replacing their computers with toys. They give Leonard a xylophone and then Face Palm when he hits himself in the eye with a mallet.

The Mess

  • When Gumball wakes up the first time, he finds himself in the middle of making a snowman out of meat. Darwin tells him to check their symptoms on the internet, but Gumball has reasons for being reluctant to do so.
Gumball: I'm not sure searching online for "meat snowman surprise" will yield the most constructive results!
  • Darwin's alternative to finding Polly:
Darwin: Or, we dress me like Polly, her parents take me back with them, I join their family, and they raise me as their daughter. Twenty years later, congratulations Penny's sister, you're gonna be a mother. Then, I move to the suburbs with Pompadour, my rainbow frog husband and raise a couple of windmills, and- *gets slapped*

The Heart

  • Mr. Robinson reminiscing on meeting the Wattersons for the first time. Which quickly becomes an abusing Gumball and Darwin for fun emotional montage.
    • Probably one of the most hilarious ones has Mr. Robinsion give them a VHS Tape of a parody of Snow White for Gumball's birthday... which he edited to end right when the Snow White character bites into her poison pear and seemingly dies, leaving the boys horrified.
  • Wanting to make amends, Mr. Robinson decides to search "How to Brainwash Kids" online. Smash Cut to Rocky bailing him out of jail.
    • Not long after, Rocky has to bail him out again when he suggests giving Gumball and Darwin toys and Mr. Robinson finds his old functioning raygun and atomic energy kit:
Rocky: Don't tell me I needed to specify children's toys.
Mr. Robinson: This time I got arrested for violating 14 international peace agreements.

The Revolt

The Decisions

  • Darwin's recount of him taking Gumball's advice:
    • When Gumball told him that it would benefit the environment if he chewed sugar cubes instead of gum, Darwin is shown in class being crowbarred out of his chair by the fire department as he's going insane from the mass amount of sugar and says that he can taste sound.
    • Gumball told him to answer all of Carrie's questions on a date with more questions instead of expressing his feelings. Eventually, he offends her into slapping him with his hot dog.
    • He wanted to give Teri a bottle of perfume as a birthday present bundled in bubble wrap, but at Gumball's suggestion, it's in shredded newspaper... which Teri believes is her Uncle Brian.
  • Alan eating an eggplant.
  • When the mall floods, Alan tells Darwin to get to higher ground while Gumball says that singing a song will wrap things up. He sings a Christmas song, which Alan admonishes him for.
    • Also during the flood, Darwin is offered a choice between being rescued by three guys in a boat with a spare lifejacket, and Banana Bob on a flaming arcade machine. Alan rightfully points out that that's not an even choice, but Gumball reasons that Darwin should get on the arcade machine so he'll have something to play in case he gets bored.
  • The door to the water control room is locked, and next to it is a fire axe. Darwin uses the case the axe is in to break the lock off.
  • After everything is done, Gumball goes to Larry's ice cream truck and orders three cones with chocolate sauce for him, Darwin, and Alan. Darwin decides that he wants strawberry, but Larry is out of strawberry, so Darwin defeatedly says he'll have chocolate.

The BFFs

  • As Gumball and Darwin jump into a river to escape from Fuzzy, they flash him a "loser" sign before slamming facefirst into the ground due to the water being only foot-deep.

The Inquisition

  • Gumball kisses who he thinks is Penny to return her to normal, but the real Penny is shown behind him and gets angry, turning into her dragon form and burning Gumball's tail. He actually kissed Sarah, who puts on an animesque lovestruck expression.
  • After Gumball and Darwin return everyone to normal, Superintendent Evil looks like he's preparing to challenge them to a fistfight, only to turn tail and try to escape. Banana Joe takes his peel off and throws it, stopping him.
  • When Superintendent Evil turns out to be Rob and asks everyone to let him explain himself, Tina just beats him into the ground with her tail.
