"He did NOT just say that..."

As rising stars in All Elite Wrestling, The Acclaimed have made a name for themselves through a combination of Max Caster's highly incendiary freestyle raps and Anthony Bowens' bombastic expressions and mic explosions. Naturally, their antics have led to many hilarious highlights.

  • The May 19, 2021 episode of Dynamite has the duo facing Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley in tag team action. Caster's rap here was one of the earliest signs of him having no filter on the mic, from comparing Kingston to a "box of Newports" to telling Mox about real-life wife Renee Paquette (Renee Young in WWE) reaching out to them for...oral sessions.
    • Bonus points goes to Bowens clarifying that they were invited to Paquette's podcast.
    • And since this is Kingston and Moxley we're talking about, this goes poorly for The Acclaimed, with Bowens being decked by Moxley mid-catchphrase.
  • June 21, 2021. Elevation. The Acclaimed are making their entrance for a tag team match against a pair of jobbers. Caster cuts his usual freestyle rap, and Bowens mugs for the camera. Cue one said jobber making a beeline for the duo...only to get clocked by Bowens with his boombox, which Caster is even able to work into his rap. If that wasn't enough, the other jobber tries going for Bowens as well, right in the middle of him reciting his catchphrase. Because it worked so well the first time around. He must have learned his lesson after lowering his guard against Kingston and Moxley the previous month...
Bowens: "AEW!" *lays out jobber flat on his back* "Dumbass... The Acclaimed have arrived!"
    • Following the pre-match pummelling Justin Roberts announces the Acclaimed's opponents as "on the mat".
  • Dark, October 5, 2021. Caster himself is taken by surprise by one of his bars that he laughs at it for a bit. He does manage to finish the rest of his rap, though.
  • Following Caster's suspension for a particularly crass rap in August 2021, the team returns to Dark, a sheet of paper in Caster's hand that turns out to be a corporate-manufactured scripted promo. He cuts the promo, to his, Bowens' and the crowd's collective disgust. Bowens shouts for the entrance theme to stop, pours over the script and is baffled by its contents. Their solution? Simply tear the script and go back to their eyebrow-raising antics, to the delight of the crowd. Can also double as a Moment of Awesome.
  • Caster's rap on Bryan Danielson prior to the latter's match with Bowens to open the November 5, 2021 episode of Rampage. Here, he mentions Danielson's vegan lifestyle, his wife Nikki Bella's time on Total Divas, and father-in-law John Laurinaitisnote .
    • After Caster's bar on Bowens' arms being bigger than Danielson's legs, the next shot is of Danielson in the ring, with the camera zooming out to get Danielson's legs into view.
  • From the November 16, 2021 episode of AEW Dark, Max shows no restraint against their opponents, The Dark Order, and the state of Minnesota:
"This is the worst place that I ever hearda,
Y'all are dumb enough to vote for Jesse Ventura
    Y'all like Purple Rain
I'mma turn the Dark Order to a Purple Stain
And I've been thinkin' all night
How is it 'Dark Order' when all of y'all white?
    You so cringe and stupid
    More overrated than Prince's music
    "
    • Made even better by Anthony's reaction at the very end, looking like he takes exception to insulting Prince, of all people, in Minnesota, of all places.
  • From Dynamite, March 3, 2022.
"We the reason for the people in the seats.
Y'all are less popular than Glenn Jacobs' tweets."
  • On the 4/6/22 Dynamite, Caster is set to face a debuting Samoa Joe in what's mostly a squash match. But not without belting out another instant classic of a rap on Joe.
"I'mma lay this dude down like a sex position
    I'm Main Event Max, he's X-Division
    So I'm sending you home
You not a tough guy Joe, you just injury prone
And I'm bad for your health
Got that towel 'cause you can't stop playin' with yourself
And Tony, why'd we give this guy a chance?
When we beat them in the ratings, he was their champ
    "
    • As icing on the cake, Joe's reaction to each bar is a simple impressed nod. He must have known he was coming out of the match victorious anyway...
  • The August 3, 2022 episode of Dynamite, where the page image comes from. After decimating Billy Gunn and getting the jump on his sons Austin and Colten prior to their Dumpster Match, itself an Awesome Moment for the pair, Max unleashes arguably his most headline-grabbing rap yet:
"The Acclaimed 'bout to put the Gunn Club in a bad way
We got the match in the bag 'cause it's trash day
    No filter, I ain't Instagram
We make the Ass Boys retire like Vince McMahon
    "
(Cue the nuclear crowd reaction, and a massive shock on Bowens' face)
"We beat you down, and you know the rest
I'm more positive than Joe Biden's COVID test
    Yo, you're your dad's boys
But for now, y'all are just the Ass Boys
    "
  • In general, whenever the duo refer to the Gunn Club as the Ass Boys. While the term was coined by Danhausen, Caster and Bowens really took the phrase and ran with it. Naturally, this doesn't sit well with Austin and Colten.
  • Getting these Four words over with the audience: "SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS!!!"
