- The game has several instances where it is really toying with you by having various texts on the wall.
- "Did you really think that would work?" is displayed in one of the puzzles in the third world if rushing to a trap.
- In the penultimate level, a message "Have a think about what you've done" appears at the expense of the player's nerves.
- The trailer for the Deluxe version shows a red robot with the message "Red drones are blind". Cue the player rushing past... and being shot on the spot. The sign then changes into "I said blind, not deaf."
- The ending twist, a hilarious culmination of all the Black Humor throughout the game: After you complete the final test, the goggles are gingerly lifted from the player character's face... and then a laser beam kills him. The final message: "Stealth goggles cleared for shipping." The entire game was just a test for the goggles.
- In the ending of the second game, when the clones open the front door of PTi and walk free, they knock over one of the robotic potted plants. It then proceeds to lay there in the following shots, ignored by all the clones.
