Funny / Siren: The Drowning

Go To

  • In the beginning section, one part of the questions section about the gameline goes abit Deadpan Snarker and talks about how Siren: The Drowning shortens to STD. The answer only remarks that Werewolf the Forsaken shortens to WTF, so Siren probably could get away with using STD.
  • Another moment comes in with the Alterations section. In the ginormous list of them, each one has a listed animal that inspired it. For the Gardenian Alteration "Survival of the Fittest", it's inspiration simply says...
    "Pick an animal. Any animal."
    • Also as a Gardenian Alteration, there is one called "Rules of Nature" that helps boost Science rolls. It's inspiration?
    Diving Bell Spider, MG Ray.
  • The factor that as an inspiration for all of the Abyssal Currents, they have a Pokemon Team listed as an inspiration for each one.
  • The Abyssal Current Phlegethon has some funny stereotypes, verging on Comedic Sociopathy.
Harmony: When you break, feel free to grab a beer and join the party.
Lethe: They can be fun when they're not hungry.
Vampires: These are my toys. Get your own.
Mages: All the power of the world to use at your creative disposal? Mind if I give a few ideas~?
Prometheans: You….actually WANT to become human? Now I know you’re full of shit.
Sin-Eaters: Perfect buddies, since you don’t have to worry about them dying.
Beasts: If you need justifications for your cruelty, then there's no way in hell that we're family.
  • Despite being one of the more violent Currents, Styx has a few good ones.
Changelings: Loop me into one of your oaths and I'll fucking sing you to death.
Sin-Eaters: I don’t do funerals, but I’m more than happy to make a killer dirge.
Mortals: I’m doing the world a favor by disposing you. Don’t you dare think it’s anything but that. Morons.
  • In the Flensers section, when it speaks of Joining the Flensers, we have this gem.
"Joining the Flensers isn't as simple as joining any other hunting organization. Siren flesh doesn't grow on trees (yet, says the Enders)..."
