  • Aoi getting into a race with Tomigaya, just to get a parking space at the apartment where their freelancers live.
  • After Tarou ends up causing strife between the 2D and 3D animators of MusAni, he tries to guilt-trip Aoi into accepting some of the responsibility, only for her to glare at him and force him to repeatedly decrease her share of the blame.
  • Honda locks Kinoshita in a cage to force him to finish the storyboards. He offers to give him a piece of fried chicken for each storyboard he finishes, but Kinoshita points out that the chicken will be cold by the time he gets done.
  • The interviews in Episode 11. Some of the interviewees have no idea what kind of company MusAni is or what works it's produced, while others brazenly admit that they don't like the commute (Satou) or want a bigger paycheck to fund their hobbies (Andou). Amusingly, Andou and Satou both get hired.
  • The voice audition meeting in Episode 14, in which the attendees at the 14-hour meeting get fired up and passionately argue for casting their choices, and acting talent barely ever seems to come up. From time to time, Aoi stops by to drop something off or pick something up, and feels rather awkward after hearing the intense discussion.
  • In Episode 16, after Chazawa once again stonewalls MusAni's attempts to get in touch with Nogame, Watanabe and Katsuragi are left at a loss for what to do.
Watanabe: What the hell is his problem?! ...Funny story.
Katsuragi: His Catchphrase rubbed off on you. Funny story, huh?
  • When the Honda returns to MusAni having lost a lot of weight, Kinoshita complains about him breaking up their "plus size alliance," something Honda says never existed in the first place.
  • In Episode 16, Iguchi imagines that the "oasis" that Ogasawara is taking her to is somewhere that has gothic loli clothing, and says she could never pull off that look. It turns out to be a batting cage, where Ogasawara turns out to be an amazing batter and pitcher, prompting Aoi to remark that an anime about Gothic Lolita female baseball players might be a fun idea.
  • Iketani tries to escape from Yano using increasingly outlandish means, such as an Air Vent Escape or digging a tunnel, only to find her waiting for him each time.
  • While Madoka's "The Reason You Suck" Speech toward Hiraoka and the resulting fight is a serious moment, there's the hilarious part in which, after Madoka says that Tarou would be better at doing the animation than the freelancers Hiraoka hired, Tarou walks in, cheerfully oblivious to the fact that Madoka just insulted him, and nearly gets hit with a ruler sharp enough to embed itself in a cubicle wall.
  • When taking the train home from MusAni late in the series, Midori tries imagining storylines for her fellow passengers, such as one old woman winning the lottery then throwing the money away just so she can see her daughter-in-law cry.
  • In Episode 21, Yano talks about how Hiraoka's past left him jaded.
Yano: What I'm trying to say is people who've got a screw loose might actually be more beneficial to production. Although, I can't really say the same for Tarou, who has three or four screws loose.
    Tarou: You rang?
    Yano: No.
  • When Shinkawa is drinking with Doumoto, she warns Doumoto that Aoi, whom the other two women respect despite often complaining about the production department, might have slackers working under her. Doumoto says, "You mean Tarou, and Tarou, and Tarou." After a moment, she adds, "Also Hiraoka."
  • Kunogi sitting in front of Kinoshita and other higher-ups to discuss the animation, and, after a minute, asks, "Is this... underwear?", the first thing resembling a complete sentence that has come out of her mouth in the entire series.
  • Kinoshita fighting his way through the Yotaka Books office building to make his way to see Nogame.
  • After almost a dozen episodes of Chazawa saying "funny story" every other sentence, often while making an excuse of some sort or otherwise inconveniencing MusAni, Nogame bellows, "IT'S NOT A FUNNY STORY!" It's followed by him and the other higher-ups giving Chazawa what he so richly deserves by showing him the door.
  • In Episode 24, the rather portly Katsuragi quickly ends up winded when running to deliver the tape, and sets off the metal detector. When his plane hits turbulence, he begs God to protect his tape.
  • Also from Episode 24, Okitsu evades police long enough to deliver the tape, and casually greets the officer who is waiting for her when she exits the TV station as if he's an acquaintance.
