Cui Xin sayin’ what we’re all thinkin’.

Comedy is this Manhua bread and butter and it makes how it earns its laughs feel seemless.

Chapter 1-3

  • Cang Shu’s classmates' pestering of her at the beginning of the series is quite comical, with their overactive imaginations.
Classmate: Are you meeting each other’s families on the weekend?
Cang Shu: Nothing is going on between us.
  • When thinking of a random name, Cang Shu’s imagination is overlayed with the universe, math equations, and Albert Einstein.
  • Qi Lin being so Book Dumb she gets a 4/150 on the entrance exam.
  • After sitting next to Cang Shu on the bus, Qi Lin gets up to exercise, much to a dumbfounded Cang Shu’s surprise.
  • Cang Shu’s (mental) reply to Qi Lin accepting her “feelings” is to question who Qi Lin even is.
    • Immediately after, numerous Hamster!Cang Shus hold a rushed meeting in Cang Shu’s brain to figure out how to handle this. A giant Samoyed!Qi Lin bursts in, to the terror of the group.
  • Qi Lin promises to never hate on maths again after Cang Shu remembered her impossibly low grade.
  • Qi Lin figuratively fulling transforms into a Samoyed and gets her belly scratched by Cang Shu, who is thinking of a response.
  • Qi Lin hand shaking Cang Shu’s is represented as a Samoyed paw.
  • And what is considered to be the Crowning Moment of Funny, Cui Xin being brought to tears after seeing Cang Shu pat Qi Lin’s head and being introduced as “Sworn to protect the happiness of these two girls with his life”.

Chapter 4

  • Qi Lin comes to Cang Shu classroom during class completely uninvited leans into the window and yells to her new friend that she’s heard to hang out.
  • Apparently neither Cang Shu nor Qi Lin knows what friends do for fun. After Cang Shu asks Qi Lin the latter questions herself before starting research, seemingly suffering Sanity Slippage all the while.
    • She peeks out of a urinal at two girls gossiping in the bathroom and wrote this down before deciding to go with Cang Shu next time. Her appearance frightens the other two and they scream about a ghost.
    • She intently stares at two girls in the cafeteria as they discuss Manhua freaking them out.
    • Qi Lin very obviously spies on Cang Shu tutoring a girl to the class’s distress.
  • Frustrated by Qi Lin, Cang Shu drags her away before privately talking in what Qi Lin misinterprets as a Wall Pin of Love.

Chapter 5

Chapter 6

  • Cang Shu notices that Qi Lin’s marks have gone up 44 points before pushing her fists against the board and asking why she cares about Qi Lin’s grades.
Cang Shu: Why do I even care about Qi Lin’s grades!?!
  • After meeting the school mascot runs away, ends up falling down the stairs, getting up and run away again.
  • The scene of the mascot paying for Cang Shu’s lunch is quite hilarious along with everyone’s disbelief.
