Go To

  • When the monsters are riding on the bus in "Good Morning", a kid offers Five a lick of his ice cream cone. Five instead puts the whole kid in his mouth, which prompts the other monsters to scold him. Once the boy is freed from Five's mouth, however, he finds the experience fun and wants to go back in again!
  • The monsters' shenanigans in the pet shop in "A Monster's Best Friend", such as Five getting into a burping match with a parrot that ends with the parrot requesting Five to say "excuse me" and One being startled by a lizard she gets too close to.
  • "Fair Play"
    • When Four bluntly says that Seven stinks at soccer, the other monsters try to cover it up with rhymes (like Six claiming Four told him to wash dishes in the sink). Four makes it clear he said Seven stinks, afterwards Three calls him out on being mean.
    • One's story about a boy named Bob who improved his physique by exercising ends with her stating that his devotion to exercise led to him becoming a lifeguard. Bob then adds that another reason for his career is that his father owns the beach.
  • "Lost and Found"
    • Three's persona for this episode is a lawyer, with his first action being that he offers to represent a kid who dropped his ice cream cone in suing the ice cream vendor, who is wise enough to avoid trouble by simply giving the kid a new ice cream cone while Three is distracted by his own rambling.
    • Seven cheerfully declaring "I'm an uncle" when the baby birds left on his head hatch.
    • Four's Imagine Spot of living a life of luxury with the 50 dollars he found, especially with One forced to massage his feet and Seven working as his jester.
  • "All the Marbles"
    • When the monsters try to get through the toy store's revolving door, one of their attempts ends with them inexplicably switching outfits.
    • When Seven fesses up to spending the money he was supposed to use to buy markers on the Monster Marbles he coveted, Four remarks that this is the first time someone in the family besides himself did something crummy.
Four: There may be hope for you yet, Seven.
  • The Visual Pun of Five's baby teeth sucking on pacifiers and crying in the educational film Three shows the rest of the monsters in "The Whole Tooth".
  • "A Day at the Firehouse"
    • Five mimicking the firefighters' Dalmatian Spot, especially when he imitates him playing fetch by taking an off-screen woman's hat, resulting in the woman screaming and Four scolding him into giving it back.
    • When the monsters give the firehouse's pole a try, Two has to lift his head up when his nose keeps him from going down, while Five is too fat to fit and has to be shoved down by One.
    • The ending, where the monsters see Spot left at their place and discover that their pet cow Belinda has gone with the firefighters.
  • The obese-from-eating-Five's-meals Four splitting his pants when he bends over to kiss Mama in "You Are What You Eat".
  • In "It's a Wonder-Four Life", Star Zero possesses Belinda the cow and is so shocked at the realization that she's basically naked that she grabs one of Six's tutus from the clothesline in order to be decent.
  • Seven being annoyed by his body tapping his fingers on his head in "All's Quiet on the Monster Front".
  • When One assures her brother Two that his nose is what makes him who he is in "The Nose Knows", she includes Four being mean as one of her examples of what the other monsters would be like if they didn't have their essential attribute.
  • In "Guys and Dolls", Four tells Five to keep his voice down in response to Five stating that he likes playing with dolls, which causes Five to repeat what he said in a much deeper voice.
