  • Mahiru and Kuro's first meeting. All of it - from Mahiru walking in on Kuro sitting in front of his TV and eating ramen to him trying to attack him with a mop to Kuro's random transformations into a cat and back and the dialogue, the whole scene is screwball comedy gold.
  • "I'll die! I'll die! I'm immortal but I'll die!"
  • Kuro's chibi form in the anime. Some visual gags are particularly funny, such as Mahiru grabbing chibi Kuro and carrying him under his arm as if his Servamp actually shrank.
  • Mahiru's failed attempts to convince Ryuusei and Koyuki that Kuro is a vampire. They think it's just the exhaustion talking, and Kuro doesn't bother to transform, not helping the case either.
  • Doll!Berukia finding his way into Mahiru's bag. Hilarity Ensues when he and Kitty Kuro start bickering inside the bag in the middle of class, and Mahiru suddenly finds all of his classmates staring at him before realizing the voices are coming from his bag.
  • Lily's first appearance in human form, for how gloriously over-the-top it is. The look on Mahiru's face really sells it. Then there's Misono throwing a book at him, telling him to put his clothes back on. Then we cut back to Mahiru and Kuro, who has transformed back into his human form... and he's still sitting on Mahiru's shoulder, with poor Mahiru struggling and failing to hold him up.
  • Episode 4 has Mahiru throw Kitty Kuro at Sakuya's face.
  • Misono telling Mahiru that he needs to "tame" Kuro.
Mahiru: YOU'RE ONE TO TALK, LEAVING YOUR EXHIBITIONIST UNATTENDED!
  • Kuro of all people berating Mahiru for going online (to check the vampire forum) as soon as he gets home, saying that's how hikikomoris are born.
  • The first meeting with Jeje, The Mother, and World End, in all its details.
    • World End's entrance. He yells at Kuro, asking where he's been hiding the whole time and demand that the latter let him kill him. Kuro simply transforms into a cat, prompting World End to snap at him for taking such a cute form he can't bring himself to hurt.
    • Lily being flat-out terrified of The Mother to the point where he can't even look at her, staring at the wall when talking to her.
Mahiru: Who the hell are you talking to?
    • Mahiru thinks The Mother and World End are the only Servamps he, Lily and Kuro are meeting and nearly has a heart attack when the others point out Jeje hiding under the table.
    • After Mahiru has received his Lead and created an uproar, they get kicked out of the family restaurant.
  • Mahiru's failed first attempts at using his Lead. He behaves like a stereotypical shounen protagonist, but his power doesn't work that way.
    • Kuro is too lazy to help him, and Lily tells Mahiru that his Servamp lacks motivation because he himself lacks resolve, as the two are tied together. Mahiru's response?
Mahiru: If Kuro acts based on how I'm feeling, does that mean Lily keeps trying to strip because you secretly want to?!
Misono: [pointing to Lily, who is currently stripping] No, it's because he's a damn pervert!
  • Misono falling asleep at 9 pm sharp, mid-sentence.
    Mahiru: Is he a child?
  • Uncle Tooru's first appearance. First he reacts to running into Kuro the exact same way Mahiru did, then he proceeds to make lame puns and praises his nephew's naming sense when introduced to Kitty Kuro.
  • Uncle Tooru and Tsubaki's meeting at the sushi restaurant. Uncle Tooru makes lame puns, and Tsubaki (temporarily) laughs at all of them. Uncle Tooru instantly takes a liking to him.
    • The anime cuts out Uncle Tooru's appearance but makes up for it by having Tsubaki make a lame pun instead.
  • Mikuni's impression of Misono. It's on point, but everyone in the restaurant winds up staring, prompting Mahiru to apologize for his newfound friend's behavior.
  • The volume 2 bonus chapter. Highlights include Kuro wearing a nightcap and watching Mahiru's horoscope, Lily being kidnapped... by a grade schooler who caught him in butterfly form, Kuro and the grade schooler snarking at Mahiru and Misono's childishness, and Kuro's... liberal interpretation of Mahiru's horoscope, among other things.
  • Shuuhei's Establishing Character Moment. He trips and falls down the stairs, only to be hit by a milk carton and a soccer ball moments later, says he was prepared for all of this, and proceeds to calmly produce a cooling pad and a towel out of nowhere.
    • His Early-Bird Cameo in the anime counts too. He crashes into Mahiru when the latter is chasing after Sakuya and lands on a pillow he wasn't even carrying until the crash.
  • When Mahiru flat-out asks Shuuhei if he's a vampire, the latter lets him call in sick for the rest of the day to visit a counselor. Even more Hilarious in Hindsight when we find out Shuuhei is a member of C3 and knows exactly that vampires exist.
  • When Tetsu and Hugh stay at his place for the night, Mahiru muses that he's glad his uncle's so rarely home - otherwise he'd never be able to explain all this weirdness, including but not limited to a gigantic coffin with an onsen advertisement written on it.
  • Hugh's first appearance in human form. It starts with a Closeup on Head showing just his face, half hidden behind his cape and spouting big words - then the camera zooms out, showing that he's actually tiny. The others' unimpressed reactions are priceless.
  • After escaping from C3, Mahiru boldly proclaims that he wants to know Tsubaki's motivations while flying off on his Lead broom... only to lose his balance and crash a moment later.
Kuro: Don't act cool when you can't even control your broom!
Mahiru: I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING GOOD AT THIS!
  • Mahiru having to balance Kitty Kuro, Yuri, Hugh and Tetsu (with his Lead coffin) on his bicycle when going to Misono's. When he finally arrives there, Dodo asks him why he's sweating so much.
  • Licht's Establishing Character Moment. "Because I'm... an angel!" Complete with a flashy pose and Bishie Sparkle. Made even funnier in the anime, where he's surrounded by a rainbow-colored sparkling circle that looks perfectly out of place.
    • Then there's Lawless, who, at that moment, annoys Licht so much, he kicks him three times then stomps on his head.
Licht: Shut up. Die. Die until you die!
  • Crantz and Guildenstern stopping Lawless and Licht's fight. Guil, in a whale costume, jumps between them, high fives Crantz, and Crantz proceeds to scold Licht like he's a little kid.
  • A gem from an otherwise serious scene: "I'll kill you until you are dead."
  • Another funny moment in a serious scene: Mahiru headbutting a Heroic BSoD Kuro when encouraging him and telling him he's not alone.
  • Licht trying to walk off as if nothing happened after defeating Higan, ignoring the fact that he's severely injured, and insisting he's fine. He collapses before reaching the door.
  • Lawless's unwillingness to tell the others his current name. He keeps making excuses, but everyone figures out he's embarrassed.
  • Shuuhei announcing his full position (one of authority) after he crashes in with Tsurugi, Yumikage and Jun to interrupt Tsubaki and Kuro's fight. Yumikage complains about the length of the title.
  • The Greed pair inviting themselves into Mahiru's apartment when they get bored of staying at the hospital.
  • Tsurugi entering into Mahiru's apartment through the balcony door. On the seventh floor. Carried by birds. Writing "I'm cold!" on the glass door with his breath and finger. Licht's reaction is priceless too: "A fallen angel..."
    • And then Yumikage and Jun arrive through the right door a moment later, the former yelling at Tsurugi.
  • C3 luring Licht into captivity by promising him melon.
  • Jun's son liking Tsurugi and Yumikage more than his own father. Becomes even funnier when the two in question suggests that they be his dads too, giving Takuto three fathers; Jun tells them to never say that again because it could cause misunderstandings if his son told that to anyone.
  • Mahiru and Tetsu's attempts at getting Kuro out of the ball.
Testu: [holding a giant-ass saw] Here's an idea: We just break the weird ball so Mr. Sloth is free to lie around and complain in full size again.
Mahiru: Testu, we have to be super careful about it! We don't know what this thing is!
Tetsu: [brings the saw closer to the ball] Sure thing.
Mahiru: Kuro, tell us if it hurts.
[Kuro, appropriately terrified, begins screaming his head off]
Mahiru: We haven't done anything, yet!
Tetsu: [about to begin sawing] Alright, get ready...
Mahiru: No! Tetsu, wait. This isn't right. It's not how we should be going about getting Kuro back.
    Tetsu: Uh, are you sure?
    Kuro: Thanks, Mahiru.
Mahiru: Thinking simply, this is my responsibility. [takes the saw] I'll get him out. Just sit back and watch, Kuro!
Kuro: And here I thought you'd come to your senses.
[Cut away with the sound of sawing and Kuro screaming in fear of getting sawed in half.]
  • Mikuni and Tsurugi talking in sync. While denying they're anything alike.
  • The High School AU omakes. They're all very self-aware, with all the characters knowing full well that they're playing roles and acting accordingly.
  • The omakes portraying the Servamps as a family living together. Highlights include Kuro using Jeje's paper bags to hide from World End and The Mother scaring Lily into doing his part of cleaning duty.
  • Misono screwing up his dance moves and falling in the anime ED.
  • The final scene in the anime: Mahiru and Kuro are walking down the street when Kuro hears a meow from an alleyway and finds an abandoned cat, ready to take it in when he meets two girls who are taking care of the cat and gets embarrassed, even more so when he discovers that Mahiru has been watching him with an amused but proud grin and offers to buy him his favorite ramen. Doubles as a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming.
  • A gem from the Funimation dub: "It's a coffin, bro."
  • Another gem from the dub: Lawless calling Licht "angel cakes."
    • From the same scene, a mixture of this and Ho Yay: Lawless calling Licht "babe."
  • Mikuni's Southern accent in the dub.
  • An unintentional gem from the English translation: "Peace is in, baby." Said to Mahiru by Kuro. An attempt at Totally Radical just got turned into Ho Yay.
  • The CD Drama's, boy. The Lighter and Softer tone of it will guarantee to get you laughing a lot.
