    Episode 1
  • The look on Yomogi's face when Gauma grabs his leg is probably how most people would react in that situation.
  • Gauma accosts Yume about standing up Yomogi:
Gauma: Listen here! In this world, there're three things important for people to keep: promises...uh, and you know...love, and...
  • Chise is absolutely giddy when taking pictures of Dynazenon, when all of a sudden, it turns its head.
Chise: Shoot! It looked at me!
    Koyomi: Where are its eyes?
  • A small moment in which Yomogi learns about Gauma's pilot experience. Or rather, his lack thereof:
    Gauma: I'll try my luck!
    Yomogi: Huh? Try?
Gauma: Yeah! This is my first time!
    Yomogi: (freaks out)
  • Yomogi proves that, unlike Yume, he's actually paying attention to the battle, all while Koyomi realizes that he's the odd man out.
Yomogi: Huh? Did we make it angry?
Yume: How can you tell, Yomogi?
    Yomogi: Just look at it!
Koyomi: Huh? You guys know each other?
Yomogi: Wait, who are you anyway?!

    Episode 2
  • The transformation sequence into Dyna Rex is seen again, this time with frequent cuts to Yomogi inside his cockpit panicking at the robot suddenly rearranging itself and getting jolted around by all the movement. The shots inside the cockpit also have the theme song sound muffled, implying that Dynazenon is actually playing its own theme music through speakers.
  • While bathing back at home, Yomogi is suddenly approached by a naked Gauma, to confront him as to why Yomogi didn't show up for pilot training, leading to this exchange:
Gauma: *opening the bathroom door* Oh. You're in here? Sorry.
Yomogi: Gauma!? Why are you here!?
    Gauma: Because you weren't at—
    Yomogi: Close the door!
    Gauma: Oh, sorry.
*Gauma closes the door behind him*
    Yomogi: Why'd you come in?
    • Later, we get this gem, while still in the bath:
      Yomogi: Aren't you cramped?
      Gauma: I am.
  • We find out after their bath that Yomogi's mother let Gauma in because he claimed to be Yomogi's friend. Yomogi calls her out for her lack of cautiousness and for letting a complete and suspicious-looking stranger into their home without a second thought.
    • She even asks Gauma if he wants to stay and eat with them, with Gauma initially declining, not wanting to overstay his welcome. He ends up staying anyways.
  • Yomogi's first outing piloting Dyna Soldier goes poorly, as he can't figure out how to do more than make it swivel its arms around.

    Episode 3
  • The team spends much of the episode trying to get Gauma's reason for fighting out of him after the Kaiju Eugenicists sow distrust in him.
Gauma: Listen up, Yomogi. In this world, there're three things important for people to keep:
    Yomogi: You said that before!
    Gauma: Promises, love, and...
    • Then, when Gauma finally mentions that he's fighting so that he can one day reunite with the person who gave him Dynazenon, Yume questions said person's gender. When Gauma says that it's a woman, Yume, Yomogi, and Koyomi give a simultaneous "Ahhh," as if to say "Oh, now it makes sense."
  • Despite looking like he was incinerated by the falling remains of Banadodon, Onija is shown at the end of the episode to just be comically covered in smoke.

    Episode 4
  • In what looks to be a Call-Back to the same-numbered episode of the previous show, we see our main dude, Yomogi, start to realize his feelings for Yume just like Yuuta did in regards to Rikka:
    • He gets upset at the idea of her hanging out with another guy, though since Yomogi is in the middle of training, he ends up hilarious messing up.
    • His manager, Inamoto, pulls a Max and pressures Yomogi with "Do you like her?" until he concedes that he does. What makes this funnier than before is, every time she asks, she stacks more stuff onto Yomogi until he answers.
    • Finally, while he doesn't attempt to ask the object of his affections on a date like Yuuta did, Yomogi does request to join Yume in her next meeting with her sister's former classmates. But just when he's giving his reason (he wants to get to know her better)...she sneezes. And just like his predecessor, the poor boy just doesn't have the guts to repeat himself.
  • After finding out Sizumu transferred to Yume and Yomogi's school, Gauma ditches his job to confront him directly. This ends up with him being restrained by two faculty members, and getting fired.
  • When Dynazenon starts the battle by pulling out its Shoulder Cannons, Gauma has to correct Yume when, in a Mythology Gag to last SSSS.GRIDMAN Voice Dramas, she shows how...unique her naming sense is;
    Yume: Something Beam!
    Gauma: Penetrator Gun!
  • Yomogi is sick for the entire episode, but is unfortunately forced into action with his heavy cold. They don't forget about it: every Transformation Name Announcement is punctuated by coughs and wheezes.
  • After Dyna Rex defeats Didoras, Onija starts angrily ranting. His colleagues, however, just ignore him and go home. And then Didoras's horn establishes the precedent for a potential Running Gag when it stops mere inches from crushing Onija.
Onija: I thought I was going to die...
  • The next day, Yomogi notices that Yume is not at school. Cut to Yume's bedroom where she's lying in bed, surrounded by stuffed plushies of prehistoric marine life, with Yomogi's cold.

    Episode 5
  • Theorizing the two could combine, Yomogi and Koyomi try forming Dyna Soldier Striker Combine. It looked like it worked for the most part...until Dyna Soldier's legs buckle due to the weight of the arms.
  • The very idea of Koyomi, who is an unemployed NEET, asking for a day off because of his date with Inamoto. Chise questions the whole thing:
Chise: What's a day off to the unemployed?
  • Gauma makes it quite obvious he's gunning to capture Sizumu while at the water park. Yomogi has to call him out on multiple occasions that his facial expressions and muttering give him away.
  • The running gag involving Gauma trying to catch Sizumu while he's off-guard, only to be stymied by the rules of the water park and one very attentive lifeguard.
    • One scene involves Gauma speed walking towards Sizumu, while the lifeguard calls him out for running, resulting in Gauma immediately faceplanting into the floor.
    • Another attempt involved Gauma attempting to capture him while in an inner tube on the lazy river. Unfortunately for Gauma, he wasn't aware of his surroundings, and walks right off a ledge, and into the water. The lifeguard again calls him out for jumping into the pool.
    • Later while leaving to confront the Kaiju, Gauma warns the others to hurry up, but not to run. Cut to the lifeguard with megaphone in hand ready to yell at him for the third time.
    • It gets even funnier in the meta because the lifeguard is the same bearded man who wanted to buy a keyboard back in SSSS.Gridman. And doubles as a Creator Cameo and Ink-Suit Actor because the bearded man is played by Masaya Obi, aka the protagonist Naoto Sho from Denkō Chōjin Gridman and his character design is completely based after the actor's current appearance.
  • We're later treated to a scene of Yume nibbling away at a churro. The scene itself lasts for forty seconds, consisting of nothing but that, with very little conversation between her and Yomogi.
  • During a montage of Yume, Yomogi, and Sizumu hanging out, we get a shot of jets of water shooting into the air. Poor Yomogi ends up getting water shot straight up his ass, complete with an awfully pained expression
  • Worn out from the whole operation, Koyomi and Chise take Gauma to an onsen to relax. Gauma ends up passing out and nearly drowns.
  • The other Eugenicists arrive at the water park as well to pick up Sizumu for another Kaiju attack, though Mujina clearly cares less this time:
Mujina: We're leaving already? We just got here.
Onija: Are you kidding me!? We're here to wreck shit up!
Mujina: Can we come back after?
    Juuga: You're welcome to.
    • Meanwhile, Yume and Yomogi are awfully deadpan over the fact that the Eugenicists were right in front of them.
Yomogi: What was that all about?
  • Finding out that they were here, Chise questions whether the Eugenicists won tickets to the water park like she did.
  • Trying to draw the Kaiju's attention away from Yume, Yomogi and Koyomi combine once more to combat it. They prove successful doing so, only for Dyna Soldier to buckle under the weight again.
  • Following their failure, Sizumu and the other Eugenicists decide to return to the water park. Onija is not having it at all and begins ranting.
Onija: Aren't you guys pissed?! Gauma may have won again, but next time, we're gonna whoop his a—*screaming*
*A piece of the Kaiju falls on Onija*
  • While parked at a nearby lake, Gauma places his arm around Yomogi... and pulls the screaming Yomogi straight into the water. Chise decides to do the same with Koyomi.
    Koyomi: It's freezing!
  • Mujina finally gets her chance to relax at the onsen with Juuga and Onija, all happy as can be.
Onija: *relieved* I thought I was dead...
  • A bit of Black Comedy, but while with Fuuma, he reveals to Yume and Yomogi that the former's sister's accident may have not been one at all, but a suic—and ends up getting cut off by the credits.

    Episode 6
  • When Mujina first meets Koyomi outside a Seven Two One convenience store, she says that she's starving. Koyomi begs her to not him. Mujina asks straight out if Koyomi's been drinking.
  • Mujina successfully steals Koyomi's Dyna Striker during his intoxicated state. When she meets up with the Kaiju Eugenicists in a warehouse, they can't really decide on what to do with it after. Onija suggests using the Dyna Striker against the protagonists, while Sizumu disagrees and asks to bring it back to them. A frustrated Mujina grumbles that if she knew they were just going to argue about it, she wouldn't have even stolen the thing in the first place.
  • As Koyomi and Gauma are planning to retrieve the Dyna Striker, Gauma decides to disregard all opportunities of sneaking into the warehouse and tells Koyomi to rush in. Koyomi does just that and proceeds to break into the warehouse window by throwing his umbrella into it. He then does an awkward running tackle on Mujina, causing both of them to trip and fall. Mujina breaks character and starts trying to yank Koyomi off of her.
  • After Koyomi's rather successful running tackle, Gauma thanks Koyomi and then pilots inside the Dyna Striker. He ready's its weapons against the Kaiju Eugenists with the smuggest smile on his face.
  • When Dynazenon is combined, Gauma says the usual catchphrase, but everyone else is too occupied with their own personal problems as of the moment, so they just lazily say it with Gauma.

    Episode 7
  • Again Dynazenon pulls out its shoulder cannons, and Yume reveals she's sticking with "Something Beam" for the name. And this time, we don't see or hear Gauma commenting on it.

    Episode 8
  • While Team Dynazenon are off dealing with a troublesome failed Kaiju, how do the Eugenicists spend the episode? Screwing around at a game center and going to the movies, not even noticing the Kaiju going giant-sized.

    Episode 9
  • Though the context as to why this happens isn't funny in the slightest, the fact that Gauma admonishes Yomogi in the middle of a kaiju battle for leaving Yume behind by blasting Dyna Soldier in the face is worth a chuckle.

    Episode 11
  • Right when Yume is about to respond to Yomogi's confession to her, Sizumu immediately ruins the entire scene by just being there.
  • Without the kaiju, the Eugenicists essentially have no purpose in life anymore. However, Onija declares his intent to kill people even without kaiju. Turns out he made true on his intent, as Yomogi's classmates later talk about how he got arrested for hustling a cop for his gun. They even note that he actually looks cool.
    • What's even funnier is the information an article about the incident gives about him:
      "Self-proclaimed 'Kaiju Eugenicist'"
      "Suspect Name: Onija"
      "Age: 5021 (Claimed)"
    • The fact that the authorities took all this information seriously is worth a laugh as well.

    Episode 12
  • During the three-month time skip, Koyomi cleaned up significantly, complete with an all-new look for himself and a suit. Unfortunately, no one recognizes him.
Knight: ... who are you again?
    Koyomi: Huh? Remember me already.
  • When his mom asks if Gauma is coming to the school festival, Yomogi simply says he was banned from the school to not disclose his death. This is made somewhat funnier due to the fact that Gauma did actually attempt to gain access to school grounds in Episode 4, only to be restrained by faculty.

    Voice Dramas
  • 2.2 features a somewhat heartwarming scene of Gauma finally getting Yomogi to open up about his insecurities regarding his mother dating Kamjiou, only to be interrupted by Gauma's increasingly loud, obnoxious snoring. It's even better if you take this scene as happening immediately before the jump cut to him snoring and tossing in his futon in the real episode 2.
  • 3.3 features the team telling Chise about how their fight with the kaiju of the week took them into space.
Yomogi: We just happened to go up there while fighting in the Dyna Rex and yelling, "Battle, Go!"
    Chise: Wha...
Yomogi: The kaiju was causing explosions and stuff around its surroundings, so we figured we could stop it by cutting off its access to oxygen.
Chise: Oh, so that's what happened. So the kaiju didn't explode after you beat it this time, right?
    Yomogi: No, it exploded.
    Chise: Huh?
  • 4.4 features Yomogi visiting a sick Yume in her room, when suddenly he gets shocked at how Yume's machine is just lying on the table for all to see. Yume's response?
Yume: You're too conscious about this stuff, Yomogi-kun. It's just the Dyna Wing.
  • 5.5 features the Eugenicists arguing over how to efficiently spend their time at the water park, with only thirty minutes before closing. As it turns out, Onija is the most excited out of all four of them.
    • Juuga suggests they all split up to do whatever and then meet up back home whenever they want. Mujina agrees, but Onija vehemently rejects the idea, voicing that he doesn't want to be alone. He's actually given pity, which he doesn't take well.
      Juuga: Onija...sorry.
Onija: Don't apologize! Now it looks like you're pitying me!
      Juuga and Mujina: Sorry.
Onija: And don't say it together!
  • 6.6 is the entire transcript of the conversation between Koyomi, Inamoto, and her husband.
  • 8.8 focuses on Yomogi asking Knight and Nidaime one too many questions, such as how they were brought together. This often results in Knight painfully twisting Yomogi's arm.
    • When Knight finally supposedly reveals it, all he says is that they're the Gridknight Alliance.
Yomogi: ... You already told us that the first time we met.
      Knight: Oh.
  • 9+1 has Juuga introducing Koyomi to a way to make money via an advertising job. He was just about to be convinced until Chise points out that Juuga is trying to get him involved in a pyramid scheme. Juuga even tries to justify himself and say it's technically legal.
Chise: Just because it's technically legal doesn't mean it's okay to do!
Juuga: You misunderstand! Multi-level marketing runs on properly regulated trading and distribution chains!
Chise: You're not even hiding your true form anymore!
  • 12.12 has Yume ask what Yomogi plans on doing after graduation, and fully expects him to ask her that same question. When he does, she quickly retorts that she wants to "move in." The thought of living under the same roof as Yume gets Yomogi incredibly flustered...only for Yume to admit she was joking.
