Even though the story centers around a giant Eldritch Abomination that eats the entire solar system, this manga does ocassionally have its funny moments.
- After he finally gets Remina back, the hobo makes a run for it only to see the entire human population of Earth chasing after them, and at a point, the hobo nearly crashes into a building. The idiots on the other side were not as lucky. After wondering how persistent they are, he wonders how long they can keep up, pauses, and wonders how long he can keep Remina and himself alive.
- Remina wakes up from her Angst Coma and realizes she's up in the air, and finds out they are in Africa.
- During the chase around the world, a few people manage to catch up to Remina and the hobo, including a man with a gun and another one in a flying car. The gunman fires at them, but the recoil sends him spinning out of control. The driver misses them, u-turns... aaand promptly spins out of control as well. Both times, the Hobo calls them out for being idiots trying shit like that. Makes sense he would, since he tried to be an astronaut, so he'd at least have some idea that those desperate stunts were terrible ideas.
- When Goda is revealed to be one of the cult leaders, he attempts to have a Villain's Dying Grace before Earth is eaten. Unfortunately for him, Remina's (the planet) gravity was too strong for him, falling (ascending?) to his doom. Daisuke wonders who he was and Remina gives what's probably her first deadpan response.Daisuke: Who the hell was that?
Remina: He was my number one fan. - The fact that the titular planet has fucking lips. And they look chapped as hell. In context, the sight of it licking them is terrifying. Out of context? Priceless.
