"...Good morning."
The film:
- From the moment we're introduced to Alex and Henry, they're both quietly complaining about each other to their respective companions, leading up to Henry blatantly snubbing Alex in the receiving line, leaving Alex speechless.
- The entire sequence of events leading up to the fateful cake disaster is a slow buildup of cringe humor.
- Alex slowly getting drunker and drunker.
- Henry correcting Alex about the music playing.
- The back and forth about the cost of the cake (even funnier when you remember that Henry actually agrees with Alex on it being a huge waste of money, but he's not in a position to say so).
- Alex getting cake smudged on Henry's suit and frantically apologizing and trying to wipe it off, only making things worse.
- Things keep escalating until they finally knock the cake over, which falls in majestic slow motion to the horrified (or amused) faces of the wedding guests.
- Alex receives a relatively calm dressing-down from his mother, and the moment she leaves the room Zahra picks up a pillow and starts smacking Alex with it and yelling at him while chasing him around the room (as in the Oval Office).
- Ellen Claremont is an absolute gift.Alex: Henry shoved me!Ellen: [absolutely deadpan] An urge I currently share with the Prince.
- Zahra's utter horror upon finding out about Alex and Henry.Zahra: As for you, Little Lord Fuck-aroy, you get your ass to merrie old England right now, I want you chewing on a goddamn crumpet by sunset and if anyone sees you leaving this hotel, I will Brexit your head from your body (slaps Henry's phone onto his chest, much to his pain). You got me?Henry: Loud and clear.Zahra:(marches off then bows head) Your Royal Highness. Unbelievable, they don't pay me enough for this shit...
