• While the mission itself is one of the most awesome moments in the entire game, the entire build up to Mission 11: "Cold War" is pretty hilarious. It initially started off as Cascadian Border Patrol discovering some Federation Troops being cargo'd over the Bering Strait, which they intercepted. The Federation called for back up, and reinforcements came to intercept the Border Patrol, and then the Border Patrol called for backup as well, and the reinforcements also intercepted the Federation reinforcements, and it swiftly escalated into a Sky-Consuming Dogfight and into the Crowning Moment of Awesome Signature Scene that we all know and love today.
• "Express Lane" is easily one of the funniest missions in “Frontline-59”, if not the entire game.
  • To start, the liaison giving the briefing is clearly annoyed but resigned to the absurdity of the plan to have Driver commit what's basically a rite of passage for an Ace Combat ace: flying a fighter jet through a tunnel.
  • Then there’s Eye-Tee’s reaction if you take a two seater plane. She screams at Driver demanding to know why be brought her along. Then once Driver enters the tunnel, Eye-Tee shouts that she’s gonna keep her eyes shut, all while shouting “Nope”, repeatedly over the radio.
  • It is entirely possible for Driver to shoot and destroy the speed cameras in the tunnel. Given his history of racking up speeding tickets, its apparent that he’s getting some catharsis out of it.
  • Also in "Express Lane", the Highway-1 A.I. will go haywire once Driver flies into the tunnel, repeatedly calling out "ERROR, ERROR, ERROR", due to the speed sensors having a hard time picking up his plane.
  • Another thing that will happen in “Express Lane”, is the A.I. will call out that vandalism will not be tolerated, and alerts the local authorities of Driver’s hubris.
  • Remember that yacht from "Valkyrie’s call"? Apparently it appears in the cave that Driver flies in, and it’s entirely possible to sink it… again. And it’s even equipped with an AA gun, meaning that it will try to shoot you down!
  • And when Driver shoots out of Highway-1 at the Cascadian’s HQ, they’re absolutely floored over how a Federation pilot flew through the tunnel towards their base.
