     The First Season
  • Lavi one-shotting a Garchomp with a single (critical hit) Focus Punch is as hilarious as it is badass. Naturally, it led to One-Punch Man jokes.
  • In the Republic City arc, Rick Shades takes 14 damage from a salesman tossing him malasadas.
Phoenica: Rick, you need to be careful with those malasadas. They don't do physical damage, but they damage your arteries very quickly.
  • When Amber offers Nera some Pocky to help her cheer up over the True West/False West change, she gives this response completely seriously:
Nera: Oh yeah. I love spaghetti.
  • From the Port Oligarch arc: Lavi's obliviousness to Rudy's crush on him. She gives, in Stuart's words, a "landing strip" worth of extremely obvious hints and he picks up on none of them.
  • The entire Magikarp jumping contest for how much of a mindfuck it is. The contest is weird enough since (almost) every Magikarp competing in it appears to be some sort of strange mutant Magikarp. But then an oddly buff Magikarp is revealed to be a Machamp in disguise and it all spirals out of control from there.
     Team Peasant Poppers One-Shot
  • Phoenica and Nera's first conversation with one of the locals.
Local: This is Anarcity, the land of anarchy. How do you not know where you're at?
    Rick: Oh boy.
Nera: Because I'm an anarchist too! Wherever I go is... nowhere.
Rick: That's a very good point.
Local: [exasperated] You'll fit in well here.
  • Phoenica's attempt to sweet talk the old man into giving away his bicycle progresses from doing a handstand to an all-out breakdancing contest. It then turns out this is how rich people normally settle their arguments.
Phoenica: Yes, many dinner parties end up devolving into this with, say, your father has an argument about a politician with the local land baron and suddenly they're hippin' and hoppin' all over the dinner plates.
  • As a nod to the Bicycle's absurd sticker price in Pokémon Red and Blue, bicycles in the Utopus region (or at least just Anarcity) are so expensive that even Phoenica can't afford one. Turns out you have to do something very special to get one, like getting the owner of a bike shop a bagel.
  • After the bicycle's sprite is accidentally grown in Roll20, Phoenica claims it's because putting the bike in third gear makes it grow giant. Stuart rolls with it and the bike's gears proceed to do progressively weirder things throughout the one-shot.
  • Every competitor in the [Farmer's Market] gangs up on Watashi because she's an otaku.
  • Samson's unexpectedly blunt method of trying to "assert dominance" over the Buzzwole swarm.
  • When Nera gets pulled into the Distortion World, she can't resist stealing something before she leaves. Especially not a plot-relevant item. Even better, Stuart actively encourages this.
  • Phoenica uses Read the Manual to reveal that an item resembling a Poke Ball is, in fact, a Poke Ball.
    Phoenica: THAT'S A POKE BALL?!
Rick: HOLY JEEZ, A POKE BALL?! REALLY?!
Samson:I wanna see! I wanna see!
    Phoenica: FORGET THIS STUPID BIKE!
  • The entire scene where the team prepares [jelly donuts]. Bonus points for making every instance of the phrase sound like it was hastily dubbed over.
    • It becomes a Brick Joke in the Republic City arc when a malasada salesman starts to prepare [jelly donuts], only for Phoenica to stop him because she asked for actual jelly donuts.
