  • For his Running Gag in this episode, Silas the Snail decides he wants to go to the ocean after hearing "the call of the sea" from a seashell in Jake's sound collection. Because that would be a bad idea, Jake transfers the ocean sounds from the seashell to Silas's shell and encourages him to use his imagination so he can experience the sea right where he is. He ends up making himself seasick.
  • In the "Little Penguin" segment, Sea Elephant catches a boot while fishing. After briefly wondering what kind of fish it is, he immediately tries to eat it.
