Phantom Blood

• The Stone Mask getting launched in the first scene is combined with Mario jumping sounds.
• Heroes Love Dogs, and that's why Nico quickly comes to hate Dio.
  Nico: Oh my god, Dio, I swear to fuck, I swear to everliving fuck, if you hurt or kill Danny I am going to send my anime fucking ninjas to beat your ass... while I fucking cry in the corner. (As Sai edits in a rain of Narutos, Impas and Yuffies to smack Dio with)
  • There's also something darkly funny about the Kick the Dog moment getting censored, but not a corpse with a spike through its mouth.
• Jonathan is a gentleman, but even he has his limits after Dio spreads rumors about Jojo being a snitch.
  Jonathan: I'm a snitch, huh?
  Nico!Jonathan: If you mean I snitched about how your mother has the fattest ass in all of England, then GUILTY AS CHARGED!
• As the elder Joestar lies in bed deathly ill, Nico (as Jonathan) quips that George's condition was caused by willingly consuming an entire box of rat poison. Nico's statement was intended to be taken as George believing a quack doctor over his own son, but given the events of the episode the joke can easily be taken that Dio's plan to kill George was to simply ask George to poison himself.
• When the police shoot and seemingly kill a freshly-vampirized Dio in Episode 3, Nico wonders what the show will do now.

  Nico: What the hell are we going to be doing this whole time, just screaming over Jojo's stupid father? Nah, fuck that guy. Let's instead focus on ... (cut to stock footage of Danny) Jojo's new dog, Danny 2! That's right, we got a new dog, and he's just a good boy, isn't he? Look at him! He's eating his little munchies, he loves to eat 'em, nom nom nom nom.

• Jonathan and Erina are walking along a road when they meet a eccentric Italian man in a top hat:
  Nico!Zeppeli: Hello, (Edgeworth Noise), it is I, the great Houdini, and I've got a turkey and cheese sandwich. You can't have any, though. Om nom nom nom nom.
• The Running Gag of Nico's complete befuddlement towards Dio's Mix-and-Match Critters:
  • Nico wonders how and where Dio's pets even came to be, and ad-libs Dio telling him to stop asking questions (itself a Running Gag toward Dio's New Powers as the Plot Demands).
  • Dio has to force the camera's attention away from an owl with a cat head during one of his monologues.
• Nico in between episodes read a comment on how they let such a powerful character like Dire be introduced so early in the series. Beliving this, he went on thinking next episode he was gonna do a grand act to demonstrate his grand power. He does the iconic Thunder Cross Split Attack... before getting shattered to pieces by Dio. Even after this, he for a moment thought that he was gonna instantly gonna recover, just before his head got shattered along his body, even if he did manage to throw a Hamon filled rose at his face. Only next episode did he realise that they were talking about his Memetic Badass status.

Battle Tendency

• A Running Gag has Nico repeatedly guessing what Joseph says ahead of time.
  • This reaches a point where he gets scared at how many times he has said something Joseph says shortly afterwards in episode 9.
• His incredulity that he actually likes Stroheim, a Nazi character.
• When entering Air Supplena Island for Jojo's training, Nico wonders if the training involves Donkey Kong in some way, only for a Donkey Kong render to appear suddenly from the tower.
• In Episode 8, Nico shares Joseph's surprise when Lisa Lisa informs them of the Pillar Men's weakness, and subsequently struggles to come up with a rebuke.
  Lisa Lisa: Legend says that the Pillar Men can't be defeated unless the stone is somehow a part of the process.
  Joseph and Nico: What?
  Ceaser: That's crazy.
  Nico: That's fucking stupid. What? No ... What .... shut up! But then they don't have any reason to do this! We just get fucking ... if we break it ... then they're just gonna ... I guess they're fuckin' shit out of luck ... I don't know, maybe, they're gonna be mining their own sh... their own crap, for a while ... that'll keep them occupied for the next thousand years, and by then, we'll all be dead, so who gives a fuck?
• In Episode 9, Nico immediately assumes the worst when a dog walks on screen. He's ecstatic when the dog survives.
• When Stroheim reveals his stomach gun, Nico audibly pauses the video to study the weapon.
  Nico: Hmmm... There's a dick joke in here somewhere, I just fucking know it.
  • Nico's incredulity at Stroheim's advances in general.
• When Joseph gets Kars' attention after he takes the Red Stone:
  Joseph: Kars!
  Nico!Kars: What?
  Nico!Joseph: No, I'm saying 'cars'. There's a car coming this way! (a car honks from off-screen)
  Nico!Kars: What? (a red car barrels over the edge, crashing into Kars and sending him off-screen) Wahh!
  Nico!Joseph: Well, I tried to warn him. Are you ok, Stroheim?
  Nico!Stroheim: I feel fine now- (gets decapitated by the same car)
  Nico!Joseph: Ah, shit!
• Nico is speechless and can only be dumbfounded at the sight of the infamous scene of Kars playing Lisa Lisa's legs like a guitar, repeatedly and quietly saying "What?" in the process.
• He reacts as expected to the reveal that Lisa Lisa is Joseph's mom.

Stardust Crusaders

• During the intro to Heat Wave, Nico would discuss his Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure, pointing out he "was living under a rock"... just before The Sun fight, which has been memed to hell and back for rock-related reasons.
• Ever since the Death XIII fight, a closeup of the dog killed by the Mannish Boy would be used as a Gag Censor for canine deaths. In Bird Up, Sai one-ups this by censoring Pet Shop murdering two dogs with icicles with the dog eating some sea-salt ice cream
