- The Mood Whiplash of saving Babe from drowning (an otherwise dramatic scene) using Deeds' frostbitten foot. Winona Ryder's hilarious reaction is priceless. "I know it's gross! Just grab it!"Deeds (desperate): You okay?Babe (gasping for air): Your foot is so gross...Deeds (comforting) I know, I know, it's okay...

- After firing and punching Kevin Ward, Mr. Deeds gets a phone call from him where he apologizes and agrees to come back to work for him. Kevin then puts his father on the phone, who expresses his appreciation for Deeds teaching his son proper manners but very quickly changes his tune when he learns his son swore in front of a lady, resulting in him taking off his belt and beating him, all the while his son is yelling "NO DADDY NO!".
