Funny / Marvel: Contest of Champions

• Pretty much the entire Deadpoolpalooza event, from the blatant pasting of Deadpool's head over the faces of the other characters on the story graphics to the names of the events themselves, especially "I Forgot To Name This One" in the third act.
• Deadpool's third special attack has him take a call on his cell phone while his opponent reactions with exasperation and eventually looks away while he yammers away on it. Deadpool eventually hangs up and shoots his opponent without looking and then chuckles to himself.
  • Taken up to eleven with Venompool. His special is essentially the same, with one difference: the opponent still reacts with exasperation, but while dangling upside-down from Venompool's tentacles.
• If Rocket Raccoon is on the receiving end of another champion's third special attack he'll ready his gun to fire it only to have it knocked away. Rocket then tries Puppy-Dog Eyes only for his opponent to ignominiously kick him into the wall.
  • Rocket's own third special attack has him first pull out a handgun and level it at his opponent, who laughs at it. Rocket then starts pulling parts of a gun from Hammerspace and assembling it, resulting in a gun that's larger than he is, which he then uses to blast them away.
• Star Lord's third special attack has him kick back his opponent then level his gun at them, only for it to fizzle and spark when he pulls the trigger. He then frantically starts hitting it while giving panicky glances at his opponent and finally manages to get a shot off just as the opponent rushes at him again.
• Joe Fixit's third special has him pull out a tommy gun and shoot his opponent until he runs out of ammo, at which point he runs forward, beats them up with the gun and eventually just uses his fists.
• In the trailer announcing Hercules and America Chavez, Hercules is bragging about his accomplishments, and the other champions there just look flat out done with him.
• In the Shindig of Champions seventh anniversary trailer, Carina is attempting to have a quiet, friendly party and has not invited any villains or anti-heroes. The summoner arrives, listening in on various conversations, including one where Miles Morales is talking to another Spider-Man about the weirdness of the game physics (such as pulling a giant rock out of the 'ground' while fighting on a rope bridge in the Savage Land). Star-Lord yells at Drax for bringing a bag of nuts to the party as his food contribution, but Drax protests its a rare flavor, trying to get some support from 'Groot.' (Actually a houseplant, Star-Lord commenting that he needs glasses.) Deadpool taps on a window, asking for the Summoner's help in breaking into the party as the bouncers (Joe Fixit and Kingpin) are too good at their job. The Summoner lets in Deadpool, accidentally letting in Masacre, Toad, Loki, Venompool, and Hit Monkey. Venompool immediately monopolizes the food table, Toad hanging around with Hit Monkey. Deadpool teases Daredevil and goes to get some Iso for his drink, chipping off a little bit of the giant Iso crystal centerpiece... which starts it spinning. Masacre shatters it the rest of the way... only for the emerging Sauron to accidentally smack him aside with his wing, furious at being used as a centerpiece. Hercules and Ragnarok Thor are overjoyed, more than eager for battle. Civil Warrior tries to calm everything down, but Domino calls for the fight to begin, the party becoming a giant brawl. Highlights include Luke Cage twirling Toad around by his tongue, and Joe Fixit putting Loki through a very familiar back and forth slam session. Only Carina and regular Hulk aren't fighting, and even Carina gives up and joins the brawl, cracking her knuckles excitedly as an amused Hulk takes Carina's popcorn and watches the whole mess unfold.
