  • "Izzy Ackerman or Is He Not."
    • Specifically, part of the episode deals with Leland going to court to help a widow whose deceased husband's body was accidentally switched with the body of a man destined to be dissected for medical research, resulting in his various limbs and organs being sent out all over the country. When they finally retrieve the last piece (his head, which has been procured from a medical institution in Florida), one of the late gentleman's friends insists upon looking into the cooler it's been stored in, to make sure it's really him. "It's him, all right," says the friend after looking. Another friend looks into the cooler. "He looks good," he says. Replies the first friend, "Why shouldn't he look good? He just came back from Florida."
  • In the seventh-season episode "That's Why the Lady Is a Stamp," two siblings quarrel over their father's estate, with the daughter wanting to keep her father's stamp collection while the son wants to sell it and split the proceeds. While having the collection appraised, Leland discovers a secret stash of pornography hidden within it. The porno collection turns out to be quite valuable in its own right (even moreso than the stamps!), so Leland suggests to the (horrified) siblings at a luncheon that they should sell the porn; the son can have the proceeds of the sale and the daughter can keep the stamps. They agree, and they also agree that no one should tell their mother about the porn. She joins them at lunch and asks, "By the way, did you ever find his dirty magazines?"
  • The subplot of an episode had Grace prosecuting the theft of bull semen. As the testimony gets more and more lurid, the apparently incensed judge demands that Grace and the defense attorney join him in his chambers. . . and all three dissolve into hysterical laughter as soon as the door closes.
  • Rosalind Shays having a trip down an elevator shaft is supposed to be shocking. But because she's a damn efficient antagonist who had put up a great performance as a premiere focus character, and because she just sees the door open and takes a dive without thinking about it, it Crosses the Line Twice into hilarity. Diana Muldaur had to find out about it from reading the script, and wondered if she caused it by asking for too much money!
