  • From Super Star's Spring Breeze tutorial: "This is our Hero, Kirby! He's a jolly fellow!" Cue Kirby giving an annoyed Aside Glance as if saying in his head, "Who Writes This Crap?!"
  • The Reactor fight. Just the sight of an all powerful machine's only weakness being its own defense lasers. The fact you only get to know this because Sailor Waddle Dee couldn't keep his mouth shut makes it even better.
  • One Arena-exclusive fight involves a Waddle Dee with an immense amount of health (unless you swallow him). In the remake, this particular Waddle Dee becomes Bandana Waddle Dee.
  • The three faces of Mike Kirby.
    • First use: Kirby dons a baseball cap and screams into a megaphone.
    • Second use: Kirby pulls on a headset, grabs a radio mike, and screams "HEYAAAAAAA!"
    • Third use: Kirby grows a mohawk, grabs a microphone stand, and does a Metal Scream. If you charge this one up in the remake, they make it sound like he broke the speakers. What makes this Metal Scream even better is that Masahiro Sakurai himself provided the voice for it!
      CHESUTO!!
  • The Computer Virus Battle is an Affectionate Parody of turn-based battles seen in JRPGs, to the point the Italian version of Ultra calls it "Turn Battle". And when you win in Super Star Ultra...
"You get [X] EXP points! (Not that it matters.)"
    • You are then awarded a bunch of other types of points, like Humor points, Tenderness points, Appetite points, Fever points, Love points, and Happy Smile points.
    • Likewise, if you beat it with Meta Knight, you gain points like Charisma points, Leadership points, Coolness points, Sword Sharpness, Heroism, Dreaminess points, and Mask Shine points.
    • This mechanic is even carried over into Team Kirby Clash, its upgraded adaptation, and its sequel Super Kirby Clash.
  • Using the Paint ability on Heavy Lobster. The reactions of the crew just sell it.
    • Speaking of the crew, in Revenge of Meta Knight, there is a secret room containing food and 1-UPs. Should you manage to enter it...
Mace Knight: No!! My secret stash of food and 1-ups!
Captain Vul: So YOU were the one hoarding them, you scallywag!!
Sailor Waddle Dee: (They looked delicious...)
  • When you start Milky Way Wishes, the tutorial tells you that you can't copy your enemies' abilities as you previously did. Cue Kirby's obvious, hilarious Oh, Crap! face.
  • The DS remake gives us bloopers. No, really. Dear God, the bloopers. These include:
    • The first blooper, where Kirby tries to jump on the Warp Star at the start of Spring Breeze... and then misses the jump, crashing into the ground.
    • A bug landing on Kirby's face in Dyna Blade.
    • The intro to Gourmet Race where King Dedede throws food into the air and catches it in his mouth... except he mistimes his bites, causing the food to fall on the floor. He even looks around in confusion afterward!
    • Kirby flying out of the Great Cave... only to hit his head on a particularly large Rocky that found its way onto the hole, causing him to fall back in with a hilarious wide-eyed and squiggly-mouthed face.
    • Kirby getting knocked out of the sky by a piece of debris from the Halberd.
    • After destroying the Halberd, the Wheelie Bike lands on the cliff perfectly... but Kirby completely whiffs the landing and falls into the sea instead. The Wheelie ends up driving off without him.
    • Marx accidentally slipping off his ball at the start of Milky Way Wishes.
    • Finally, instead of King Dedede getting blasted out of the castle at the end of Revenge of the King, it's Kirby! The reel ends with a freeze-frame on his shocked face.
  • Revenge of the King itself is one when you realize that Dedede is basically ripping off Meta Knight's scenario. When you get to Dedede's castle, which has the same background music as the later stages of the Halberd, you start seeing him conversing with his subjects about Kirby's progress just as Meta Knight did with his crew in Revenge of Meta Knight. Then you get to the boss room, and Dedede has donned a metal mask of his own and left a hammer in the middle of the arena for Kirby to use, just like how Meta Knight always tosses Kirby a sword before they duel. Defeat Dedede, and the mask even splits in half inexplicably just like Meta Knight's always does.
  • A Good Bad Bugs example from Ultra: once you get to Milky Way Wishes, at one point you will encounter a Parasol Waddle Doo. Through the shown procedure, he starts to… well, apparently dash so quickly he transpires through dimensions beyond. It has to be seen to be believed.
