• During the press conference for the PRIDE 2000 Grand Prix, Sakuraba came wearing a diaper. When asked about it, he explained that since his fight with Royce Gracie had no time limits, he should be prepared because he didn’t know how long it would last.
  "Unlimited rounds? Okay. Let's fight for about a week. We can hurt each other for six days and decide it on the seventh. I'll have to go to the bathroom, so I'm going to borrow a diaper from my son and head to the Dome. The audience should be prepared. Please bring at least three days' worth of change of clothes. Oh, and bedpans."
• Basically every step of the Royce-Saku fight at the PRIDE Grand Prix.
  • The famous smile to the camera, which Sakuraba struck while he had Royce Gracie clamped to his back against the ropes and hitting him with annoyed hammerfists.
    • Even more hilarious when you realize Saku and Royce were positioned near Gracie's corner, so Kazushi's head was literally three feet away from the Gracie Humaitá crew during the whole joke. They were probably thinking "Oh man, this guy is completely nuts."
    • And then a bit more when you learn that Saku was actually smiling to the cameraman, who he had recognized as a friend of his. Or at least so he says.
  • Sakuraba's account about the moment in which he almost finished Royce with a kneebar.
  "I had a hiza-juji-gatame locked up on him. I know I must've thought, if only for a split second, "I've got it!" I could feel a sense of urgency on Royce's face... I was near... Then I felt Royce's foot in my butt."^note Joke explained: Gracie planting a foot against Saku meant he was going to escape from the hold. Still funny the way he tells it.
  • Royce going serious about a guillotine choke in which he had Saku, only for the wrestler to grab his gi pants and simulate he was going to pull them down. (Accordimg to Saku, he was actually trying to reach his belt, but then again, you never know.)
  • When Royce accidentally hit Saku's groin, he whispered an apologize in his hear. Sakuraba accepted it and dismissed the blow, mumbling "OK, OK" in a soothing voice while condescendingly tapping his butt. It actually made people in Gracie's corner believe that he had tapped out!
  • Hidehiko Yoshida, at Saku's corner along with the Takada Dojo people, excitedly telling Saku to do his flying attacks as soon as he saw Royce buttscooting. It was an Out-of-Character Moment for such a collected and cold guy like him.
  • Saku finally going home after fighting Igor Vovchanchyn... only to discover that he had Igor's entrance theme stuck in his head and he couldn't sleep.
• During their time in Brazil as part of Chute Boxe, Saku and his trainee Wataru Takahashi bought a Brazilian porn DVD without knowing it was actually about "she-men" porn. When they watched it on TV, Saku's reaction was no other than wanting to take the DVD back to Japan to give to Takada.
• Sakuraba appearing in the weigh-in against Ricardo Arona with fake muscles drawn in his chest and belly, parodying the ridiculously chiseled build of his opponent.
• Similar to above, Saku coming to the press conference with Ralek Gracie with old man makeup to illustrate the age difference between them.
• In one of his pre-fights workouts, while his opponent was training for the match, Saku was shown instead drawing Doraemon in a laptop. Even funnier because, for some reason, the laptop was on the back of a training partner who was crouching on all fours to make a table.
• A comment he made on his Pride 2 fight with Vernon "Tiger" White.
  "What a pain in the ass! Tiresome."
