Now in exclusive Stuffed n' Starved variants too! Gotta catch 'em all!note

After the dark and edgy previous season, we think it's the perfect time for us to revisit the fun and silly aspects of Kamen Rider, starting with this season's funny moments.

    open/close all folders

    General
  • In the opening, Saboneedle and Hopper1 are watching Tamami cooking in the restaurant seemingly out of curiosity until Rinne and Houtarou quickly hide them before she notices. The fact that Hopper1 tries to struggle out behind Houtarou adds to the hilarity of the scene.
  • The opening has Gotchard fighting a Malgam... which somehow ends up with him riding on its shoulders.
  • For their first closeups in the opening, Atropos is introduced normally. Her sisters, on the other hand, have cartoonishly fake monocles and mustaches on their veils.

Main series

    Episode 1: Gotcha! Hopper1!
  • Houtaro's attempt at creating his lunch goes a little sideways,
  • Ryo enters the subway just as the announcer says a SL (Steam Liner) is coming...but then double takes when he sees it's a steam train that's arrived at the station.
  • How does Hopper1 make its first appearance? Houtarou first enters a dark and empty warehouse where a giant shadow is covering him. Houtarou remembers what Ryo said of a giant monster on the loose and decides to face it head on...and he looks down to see that it's nothing more than the adorable tiny Hopper1.
    • Upon seeing Rinne, Houtarou shoves the little grasshopper into his backpack.
  • How does Steamliner arrive to pick up Houtarou? By Hopper1 screaming out its name like an air raid siren.
  • Rinne attempting to face down a Chemy head-on is admirable... or would be if she wasn't attempting to take on Steamliner, which is based on a steam train and appropriately sized. Houtarou immediately calls her out on it.
  • Houtarou's first transformation has him turned into the SteamHopper Wild Form, which is a grasshopper with a bright metallic blue steam train plating. Rather than be shocked or freak out, he takes it too casually.
Houtarou: Not quite what I had in mind, but oh well!

    Episode 2: Pursuit, Alchemy, Skebows!
  • How heavy is Odorippa? Just by placing its card in Hotaro's hand, he feels like he suddenly is carrying a 20-lb dumbbell!
  • How does Houtarou pass his Alchemy Academy entrance exam to make both Chemies weigh the same? By asking both Odorippa and Kamantis to change their diets. You can even see Odorippa in its skinny appearance and Kamantis's Balloon Belly in their card forms.
    • The flashback reveals that he made these requests by bowing to them on a swing set, with each Chemy occupying a swing.
    • To make it even more hilarious, Houtarou offered Hopper1 leftovers from his lunch in the first episode, implying that the Chemies are able to consume food.
    • Those variants of fat Kamantis and skinny Odorippa? you can get those as well.
  • Minato is seen trying to suppress his laughter before declaring that Houtaro basically cheated... but he accepts the result anyways and allows him into the Academy.
  • The hilarity of Skebow possessing a normal skateboard and then wearing Triangle Shades.

    Episode 3: Bushido, Watching.
  • Hopper1 breakdancing to Houtarou's humming in the Ichinose restaurant. Crosses with Heartwarming.
  • Once again, poor Hopper1 gets shoved into Hotarou's backpack, screaming all the way as Hotaro races to school. If you look carefully, you can still see the legs of Hopper1 sticking out of the backpack as Hotaro races to school, meaning Hotaro didn't properly close his bag!
  • While Renge tries unsuccessfully to sell the Dokkirimajin Chemy to Houtarou, Sabimaru is just muttering in the background that it was he who caught the Chemy, not her. Also she's wearing a takoyaki hat and an octopus tentacle.
  • As Minato is explaining about the escaped Chemies, Houtarou interrupts to show off all the Chemies he's found so far. Minato's reaction is a very deadpan "Good for you."
  • Although Houtarou's refusal to hand over the Gotchardriver and taking a bokken attack to save Hopper1 is admirable, the fact that Supana, a trained warrior and graduate alchemist, was taken out by a metaphorical-gut punch is definitely going to elicit a few chuckles.

    Episode 4: Antrooper Labyrinth
  • When Houtarou attempts to thank Supana for lending him Madwheel to escape, Supana doesn't even acknowledge him except to rudely demand the Chemy back before simply tugging it out of his hands while going to talk to Rinne.
  • Once again, Renge is wearing something when she appears. This time she's dressed as a tiger, complete with paws.
  • A heartwarming moment of Rinne accepting Hotaro's offer of a meal turns hilarious when she reveals that she doesn't like it. Hotaro's reaction is what really seals the deal.
    Houtarou: No Gotcha!

Episode 5: Burn! Fight! Wrestler G!
  • Hotaro excitedly tells Rinne he's figured something out: 1 plus 9 equals 10! She just glares at him as if to say "That's first-grade arithmetic, and you're just figuring it out now?!"
  • Amazed at Renge and Sabimaru successfully capturing so many Chemies, Hotaro asks them to teach him their ways. Renge agrees... at a price of ¥10,000 per session.
    • Sabimaru, however, is so excited when Hotaro calls him "Senpai", that he proudly tells Hotaro to forget the money and asks him to follow anyway. He's still skipping when they reach the dojo in the next scene.
  • Using the Gengenchoucho and Bulletbaang Chemies turns Hotaro into a butterfly-themed gun that causes those shot with it to see an illusion of butterflies (which has to be held and fired by someone else, a la Megatron). Watching a group of gun-wielding Yakuza happily chasing after imaginary butterflies is quite a sight.
  • For some reason, Goriki's accent in Malgam form sounds vaguely like Arnold Schwarzenegger's.

    Episode 6: Super A-class ☆ Warped Star
  • Supana telling Hotaro that he hates the breakfast...and then proceeds to eat more of it. Ryo himself lampshades how Supana cleaned the entire plate despite calling it disgusting.
    • Because of how good it was, Supana feels the need to immediately one-up Houtarou in cooking, almost like he's trying to reinforce the pecking order. Hotaro is refuses to eat it at first, but begrudgingly accepts...and finds it to be delicious. Take note that Supana's dish is purple omurice.
    • Prior to Supana's breakfast, both Ryo and Hotaro's mom think that Supana is Hotaro's friend with Hotaro giving an exasperated "He's not."
  • Boruto utterly hams it up whenever he's on screen, including one sequence where he monologues to himself about his past and how amazing he is while running through a building complex, all while Clotho and Lachesis humorously watch on. Viewers compared his Large Ham tendencies with Dan Kuroto.
  • When we get a flashback to the Super-A exam, Boruto is ready to throw numerous weapons at Supana. What's Supana's response? He just crushes the weapons into a giant ball and throws it back at Boruto with a boulder to boot.
  • Just when Boruto thinks he got Supana on the ropes while holding Kudou hostage, instead of kneeling and begging we have Supana casually stating "Let's get this started.", which yields a confused "Huh?!" from Boruto, as he obviously didn't think this through again.

    Episode 7: Goodbye Saboneedle
  • While hunting for Mechanichani, Rinne, Renge and Sabimaru spots Houtarou trying to simply fish the Chemy from the river with the support of Smaphone's locating abilities. Rinne's first reaction is to quip how he can't catch a Chemy like that, only to be Instantly Proven Wrong when Houtarou does succeed.
    • At the Ichinose restaurant, there's an arguement on who deserves the praise for catching the Chemie. Hotaro was the one who fished it out, but Rinne says that it doesn't count because he used his Kamen Rider Powers. Renge decides she deserves credit for tying Mechanichani up while Sabimaru points out he also joined in.
  • Houtarou tries to bond with Riku by offering to help with his homework... only to be immediately stumped by the advanced geometry questions.
  • The second Hotaro's mom brings up that she'll pay Rinne to do an errand, Renge races towards her with a raised hand.
  • Rinne being overwhelmed at the idea of choosing a pastry for herself; her mental state is actually represented by an alchemical formula that collapses under the strain.
  • In some Mood Whiplash, Hotaro is seemingly shot in the chest by Dragonfly Malgam...except he actually shot Hopper1, who doesn't even look unphased. Hotaro removes the spike out of the chemy like it was nothing more than a suction cup dart!

    Episode 8: Great Bond
  • Hotaro is falling to his death but decides to perform another transformation to save himself. What's this transformation? A humongous whale-motorcycle hybrid that sucks up Riku.
  • While it's a sad moment of Riku's father being abrasive towards his son, one of the things he notes is that Riku's been getting a lot of bandages on his fingers lately.

Episode 9: Dash to Kyoto! Field Trip!
  • Houtaro had to leave Hopper1 behind since he refused to stay in his card form for the entire trip. So of course the little guy finds a way to sneak into Houtaro's bag. Take note that Rinne is the one questioning Hotaro's logic that he refuses to bring the Chemies during their field trip.
    • Then Hopper gets out and Rinne has to distract a shrine caretaker from seeing him by mentioning the happa (leaves).
    • Hopper1 then plays around with Ryo but hops off when Ryo tries to get a picture of the Chemy.
  • While visiting the haunted house, Houtarou and Ryo are — as expected — scared out of their wits by the ghosts. Rinne, on the other hand, actually laughs and claps at them, to the ghosts' utter bewilderment. After they exit the haunted house, Rinne actually asks if they can go again, eliciting a Big "NO!" from the boys. Then Hijiri (who turns out to be one of the ghost actors) approaches them still in costume, causing both of the boys to scream again.
  • Sabimaru playing with the Chemies by holding Steamliner's card and moving it around like a pretend car.
  • Rinne asks Houtarou to take her photos while dressing as a Shinsengumi, to Houtarou's bafflement as he's worrying about the situation. To Rinne's chagrin as she tells him how she wants to visit the Shinsengumi sites.
  • When Minato animates the ninja mannequins to attack Clotho, they flip past him continually spouting "We have arrived!"

Episode 10: Kyoto on Fire! ~Tragic Love: The Chemy Thunder Affair~
  • To cheer Kajiki up, Rinne takes him through the haunted house again with Renge and Sabimaru. As expected, it doesn't work.
  • As Kajiki is wallowing due to thinking Tsurugi is Hijiri's boyfriend, he suddenly hears a news report from someone's phone about Tsurugi. He quickly tries to get their attention so he could watch, but is unaware the other alchemists are trying to make them not show it, since they don't want Kajiki getting involved.
    • Kajiki's reaction to the news report:
(in anger) "That guy..." (switches to relief) "...so he's actually Hijiri's brother!" (Beat) "Crap! Hijiri's in danger!!"
  • To combat the Battery Malgam, Rinne comes up with the idea of the alchemists summoning a bunch of swords to form a lightning rod like grid. Cue a bunch of tourists' shock when their swords suddenly start flying away from there.
  • After Hijiri and Kajiki reunite, Hopper1 jumps out of card form to go congratulate the couple. Houtaro quickly pulls him away saying he can't do that.

Episode 11: Catch! A Spy-der!? Unfit to Be a Rider!
  • Bunnyparka's Wild Form. It's a bunny hoodie. And no, we're not joking.
    • Because this combo gets used, we get to hear "Panpakaparka" in its full, clean glory.

    Episode 14: A Man-eating Rex!? Dangerous X!!
  • Once again, Houtaro has to hide Hopper1 from his mother, shoving them in the box of Christmas decorations.
  • Upon learning that X-Rex is known to eat people, Hotaro asks why it would do so. Rinne looks at Hotaro in disbelief at how he doesn't make the connection.

Episode 15: Catch! Happy! Shine Gotchalibur!!
  • When Hotaro beats Clotho and knocks her out of her Dread form, she angrily declares she'll drag him to hell next time. Hotaro's response when they leave is a sheepish "Man she was angry... maybe I shouldn't have done that," like a kid who caused a scuffle at the playground.
  • At the Kitchen Ichinose (Pre) Christmas Party, Kajiki talks about his theory that Santa is an alien. Sabimaru and Isaac are ecstatic to hear this and want to summon St. Nick immediately.

Episode 16: Crisis Xmas! The Orochi Incident
  • When Renge tells Houtaro that he can work on capturing Chemys during the winter holidays, he tells her that he can't since he's too busy helping out at Kitchen Ichinose to the point where he's asking for help from the others. Isaac declines on Sabimaru's behalf, pointing out that he's bad with crowds, and Renge preempts Houtaro by bringing up her own part-time job, complete with an Imagine Spot. Naturally, this leaves poor Rinne to save Houtaro's hide once more, even as she rolls her eyes in resignation.
  • Houtarou is still dealing with Hopper 1's shenanigans even at Christmas. This time, Hopper 1 is rummaging through Houtarou's backpack and fiddling with the present he got for Tamami. Even funnier is how Hopper1 has their legs obviously sticking out of the backpack!
  • Rinne now has her own Chemy to deal with, as Unicon takes a leaf out of Hopper 1's book and tries to come out in the middle of the lunch rush at the Restaurant.

Episode 18: Run Through! Evolutionary Fire Lord!
  • It's oddly hilarious seeing Steamliner in his small form, especially considering that in this state Hopper1 TOWERS over it instead of the other way around.

Episode 19: Rinne's Dawn! Transform Majade!
  • The initial meeting of Kitchen Alliance is interrupted when the restaurant opens and customers pour in.
  • Houtarou's latest cooking creation for this episode is a cream puff filled with meat. Not only does Rinne dislike it, but the Cerebus Malgam (who has a taste for meat) tosses it out of disgust after tasting it. To top it off, Rinne nods in agreement, which Houtarou notices. Needless to say, he's very frustrated just as he transforms into Gotchard.
  • While it's a quick moment that shows the downside of overheating the Gotchardigniter, its hilarious when Sabimaru and Renge cool the device down with Paper fans from Apparebushido's Chemy card.
  • At the end of the episode, Rinne decides to take a fruit tart for her own under the rules of "Whoever catches the Chemy gets to choose". When the others protest about who made that rule, Rinne says that she makes her own rules before happily taking a bite out of her dessert.

Episode 20: Smiling Angel (Angel), Serious Truth (Joke)
  • Where's Tamami during all this? Off to see some old friends from high school, members of something called the Yo-Yo Research Club.
  • Kyoka asks if Hotaro is the "easy-breezy boy", which is what Supana describes Hotaro as.

Episode 21: Mad Warrior! Black Flame Valvarad
  • While the team helps Kyoka develop the Valvaradriver, one of the segments involves them synthesizing some parts. However, Houtaro synthesized what is essentially poop, causing everyone in the room to stop because of how much it reeks.
  • There is something hilarious at the Angel Malgam's pitiful attempts to attack Kamen Rider Valvarad, while the latter casually turns around and walks away.

Episode 22: Love Is A Blade (Saber)! Suddenly Chemy Story
  • The preview revealing that Zukyumpire is portrayed by an actor. And no, we're not talking about a stuntman in a suit, but an actual actor. There's even a shot where Hotaro, Sabimaru, and Rinne are pointing their Chemy Risers at him like they were guns! There's also the hilarity that the vampire has a prominent Aang-like arrow on his forehead.
  • Hotaro and Rinne enter Kitchen Ichinose dressed up as cowboys for some odd reason that helped them capture the Tricera Chemy.
  • Hotaro, Rinne, and Sabimaru initially think Renge has fallen in love with Supana due to his cool new Kamen Rider from and how he even has a bouquet of flowers on hand. Renge rushes toward him...and passes by as she's fallen in love with Zukyumpire. As for why Supana has flowers, that's another story.
    • Isaac being the one curious of following Renge and seeing this mysterious crush of hers.
  • Hopper1 tries desperately to alert everyone that Zukyumpire is actually a Chemy, but its attempts only result in it being shoved into Hotaro's backpack again.
  • Zukyumpire making people fall for him. Not just women, but also old men, and Kajiki as well. He even has his own Image Song!
  • How does Hotaro free Rinne from Zukyumpire's possession? By transforming into Bunnyparka wild form, slip onto Rinne's body and then force her hands to remove the mask on her head!
    • Rinne takes a moment to try to remember of what she was doing, and once she does she hangs her head in shame with the others giving a nod.
  • When Renge learns what her crush is, she's horrified that her third first love ended up being a Chemy. She collapses and a black and white filter with some captions flashes, like it's some sort of tabloid headline after she'd been found dead.
  • The preview for the next episode instead of the telling us to "Take hold of the greatest of Gotchards!" as usual, we're told to "Take hold of the greatest of Zukyuns!" with Zyukumpire himself delivering the last line.

Episode 23: Zukyun Always in My Heart
  • The Imagine Spot of what Zyukumpire thinks will happen when he unleashes his mega Zyukun to the world.
  • The end of the episode has Hopper1 smitten with Zyukumpire to the point that Hotaro is shocked at being "betrayed" by his friend. Rinne just looks in disbelief at how Hotaro is jealous of a Chemy.

    Episode 27: Gotcha! Cross Hopper!
  • While it's easily missed given the heavy tones of the episode, but when Sabimaru and Renge are fighting Clotho and Atropos. Atropos tries to mind control them both into attacking each other, only to find that they transmuted Zyukumpire's ability to act as a negator. They even mimic his pose, which makes Clotho stagger back a bit. It's funny seeing the most toughest of the Three Dark Sisters, being afraid (or caught off guard) of a Bishōnen Vampire.

Episode 28: Strange Licking Mystery! Renge's Homecoming
  • Rinne's love for ghosts and spooky stuff comes back, as she's smiling and laughing the entire time. Hotaro makes several Double Take looks at her, and Renge straight up asks why she's smiling. Hotaro is so jumpy that even Hopper1 perching on his shoulder causes him to shriek in terror.
  • Hotaro is so gripped with fear that the others need to do his transformation for him. The entire "fight" afterwards has Gotchard fail hilariously.
    • During the said transformation, Rinne yanks Hopper1 from Hotaro's hand and somehow puts it back in its card offscreen before inserting it in his Driver.
  • We see from his backstory recounting that Hoshino wasn't exactly the model monk, easily tiring out from cleaning and eating cup noodles instead of rice-and-veggies. And the near-fatal accident he had is depicted by throwing a mannequin down a cliff. The slow-mo only makes it more obvious.
  • At the end of the episode Hoshino gets an actual vision of doom, causing him to speak a vague warning while standing way too close to the camera. It's like he walked off the set of the Yuusha Yoshihiko series, really.

Episode 29: Night Tale of The Crying Village
  • Every one of the Kyubi Malgam's victims ends up in a funny situation or pose:
    • The first one is found buried upside-down with his bare legs forming a V.
    • The second is tied to broomsticks like a scarecrow and has a Henohenomoheji painted on his face.
    • The third is found laying in an exercise pose only in his boxers.
    • The fourth and fifth are together in a position that implies one was stretching his sides and the other helping the former keep his balance.
  • The dramatization of the victims' "deaths" when Rinne had already checked their bodies and concluded they were still alive.

Episode 30: A Rival Sol-journs!? Gotcha and Juliet
  • Hopper1 enjoys the comedy act so much, it pops out of its card, to Houtaro and Rinne's panic.
  • Kajiki volunteering to play Juliet, and later actually arguing with Seina over who gets the role.
  • Renge biting on a handkerchief a la Brain (with said handkerchief somehow producing crunching noises) out of sheer jealousy at Seina flirting with Houtaro, while Hopper1 quakes in terror.

Episode 32: The Dire King Cometh! The Puppets' Dilemma

Episode 33: The Legend-ary Rider? 100 Years Too Early!
  • The fact that the staff decided to add something straight from Narutaki's vocabulary.
  • We finally get Dark Kiva's Wake Up Three, the dreaded "King's World End", after 14 years....and then Saigetsu literally gets knocked out of it by the Legend Kamen Riser. No, not a shot from it, but just flying into him when Kaguya summons it from its crash site.

Movies and spinoffs

Kamen Rider Gotchard VS Kamen Rider Legend
  • The teaser trailer features Gotchard striking the same heroic pose from his reveal teaser, only to get shoved aside by Legend.
  • The first thing everyone noticed is that Kamen Rider Legend has a crotch that is the stuff of legends.

Part 1

  • The first person Houtaro meets after being summoned by the Aurora Curtain is Kaguya's butler, who is called Butler, and he even gets a name card!
    • Before that, Houtaro gets sucked into the Aurora Curtain just as he's trying to feed Kajiki a spoonful of his latest dish. The spoonful gets eaten by Butler.
  • Kaguya's introduction to Houtaro involves him taking a bath while drinking wine... with the tub outside in the garden. Never mind the fact that he's not bathing in water, but gemstones.
  • Legend summoning Gaim, Kaixa, Kiva, and Hibiki would normally be awesome, but what places it here is the fact that he does so while using a Kasshine - on all fours, no less! - as a throne.
  • As he (for lack of a better term) sics Gotchard on the Kasshines, Legend proceeds to call them "sandbags", which the Kasshines take exception to.
Kasshine: Who're you calling a sandbag?!

Part 2

Kamen Rider Gotchard × Geats — The Strongest Chemy ☆ Gotcha Grand Operation
  • The teaser starts normally until Hopper1 and the Geats Chemy start messing around on the screen to the point of covering what seems to be spoiler scenes from the movie, annoying the narrator in the process.
  • The fight against the Magician Jyamato had Neon and Hotaro accidentally hitting each other, brief apologizing and then continuing to fight.
  • X Wizard turning Keiwa, Neon and Michinaga into Chemies, and the latter three's reactions.
    Keiwa: I have a tail!
Michinaga: Man, this is the worst!
  • The entire concept of Supana and Hotaro switching roles with Hotaro looking down at Chemies and Supana being the one to bond with them.
  • Hotaro can't catch a break through the entire movie: wakes up too late to hunt chemies, gets bonked by Utsubocchama during the Chemy capture, is lumped with Chemy Tycoon in X Wizard's game, gets blasted by X Fortress, falls for two traps inside the X Fortress, gets sent flying by Xeggdrasil, dragged alongside for a ride with BeetlX...
  • Dream!Supana in Hotaro's dream was a little too cheerful, and yet Hotaro took far longer than he should have to realize that.

The Three Dark Sisters Presents: Kamen Rider Gotchard: Mikan Plan

Episode 0

Episode 1

  • Clotho is revelling in finally getting an appropriate looking outfit, Lachesis is less optimistic.
Lachesis: Oh, you mean the body warmer—
Clotho: It’s not a body warmer!
  • Atropos challenges the others to give out as much Valentines chocolates to people they like. When they find out that Clotho’s efforts amounted to Force Feeding the yakuza guys, both Lachesis and Atropos agree to disqualify. And then Atropos also disqualifies Lachesis for not giving chocolates to “who’s really important”.

Other

  • The Legend Rider cards. When they don't look cool or creepy, they fall under this.
    • 1: A tricycle based on the cyclone, but the windshield is half of Kamen Rider 1's helmet and scarf, while the front wheel is held in place by hands.
    • 2: It's basically Hopper1 cosplaying as the second ever Rider.
    • Faiz and Kaixa: Flip-phones with ARMS AND LEGS.
    • Kabuto's default card art, a robotic rhinoceros beetle, doesn't fall under this (aside from it imitating his signature finger pose), but an alternate variant has the thing on its hind legs in a human-like fashion with disembodied arms, making it look like Black from Larva in Powered Armor.
    • Decade and Diend: Barcodes in the shape of their helmet ridges with arms and legs that look right off of Mickey Mouse himself.
    • W: A pair of Gaia Memories doing the signature henshin pose, one with Phillip's hair clip and the other with Shotaro's hat.
    • Accel: A Chibi version of his helmet with noodle arms... riding a rocket-powered TRICYCLE while wielding handcuffs in the other hand.
    • OOO and Birth: OOO himself becomes a griffin-like creature, which would be cool... if it didn't look like a rooster with the butt and rear legs of a grasshopper and a second pair of wings. As for Birth... he's a vending machine with ARMS.
    • Fourze: A rocket that looks like something from Cars.
    • The Gaim Riders basically have the Rider's main fruit motifs anthropomorphized with the traits of their chosen warrior design. Gaim's elements result in a samurai orange with a constant Slasher Smile, but Baron ends up with a horned banana with a big-ol' frown... and the banana tip placement is especially hilarious.
      • Gaim's Kiwami card has the Chemy carrying a basket full of fruit
    • Mach is just a tire with his helmet face as the hubcap. What makes it funny is the single disembodied hand making his signature finger gesture. Drive isn't any better, with a giant spoiler behind the entire thing and a saluting hand.
    • Ghost: What can only be described as Yuuru-sen in a cosplay hoodie
      • Specter's card has the Chemy carrying a boombox while Necrom's has it putting some eye drops in.
    • While Cross-Z gets a badass dragon with flaming punches, Build gets something that will definitely bruise Sento's ego; it's a rabbit in an ARMY HELMET RIDING A TANK.
      • Evolto's alternate card art has the evil snake serving coffee at the cafe.
    • Zi-O: A ridewatch-like like being that looks like something out of The Mr. Men Show. Geiz doesn't fare any better.
    • Revi gets turned into a T-rex. Vice? A hilariously cartoonish demon that looks more like a cathedral gargoyle.
    • Tycoon gets turned into his themed animal, but the end result looks like a cross between a balloon animal and a plush toy. Kekera just flat-out becomes a regular frog, and the end result just speaks for itself.
  • Just the way the Gotchardriver pronounces "Panpakaparka".
  • The concept of the Chemies is basically Pokémon if the Poké Balls were Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
  • The Christmas cards simply have Hopper1 as Santa Claus and Steamliner as a reindeer.
  • Nammonite's card art has the Chemy sadly looking at its shell as it holds it mournfully. It's more poignant if you look at it.
  • The trailer for the Hyper Battle DVD establishes the "Freaky Friday" Flip premise by having Houtarou and Rinne’s actors perform the narration as each other’s characters.
