  • When Jeronicus addresses Ms. Johnston as "Mrs. Johnston", she points out that she's widowed and not too unhappy about it:
    Ms. Johnston: He's dead. Gone. Never coming back.
    Jeronicus: I'm sure he's in a better place.
  • During "Miles and Miles", in which Ms. Johnston serenades and tries to woo Jeronicus, he just moves around and reacts to her craziness, asking if she's drunk and being really surprised when background dancers appear.
    • Later, the dancers reappear after Jeronicus has begun to reciprocate her interest:
      Jeronicus: They really are a group.
  • The sign in Jeronicus' window during his going out of business sale:
    Buy one, get two free. But only if you buy three more!
  • When Don Juan admires himself in a mirror, with Gustafson sitting just next to him with an annoyed look on his face:
    Don Juan: Your hair, as shiny as a stallion's mane. Your eyes, the azul of the sea. And your bumpies, with the burn of a fresh-picked habanero that's just about to-
    Gustafson: Do NOT finish that sentence, please.
  • Ms. Johnston is still getting the hang of driving her new postal truck:
    Ms. Johnston: I almost only killed one person today! [laughs] Progress!
